I sailed the Equinox in 2019 and my TA found an amazing deal so we decided to sail again. Embarkation was a hot mess. I never got official word but the buzz was technical issues/computer issues. Lines backed up, but luckily I had priority boarding and was able to skip some of the wait. That meant the gangways onto the ship were packed and slowly moving.

The Equinox / Solstice class ship did not disappoint again- this was our 4th time on the Equinox and the addition of Captain Tassos was a huge plus – having sailed with him before on the Solstice he is by far the funniest and most entertaining of all the Celebrity captains we have had. NYE Cruise for a large family group of 14 to 89 year olds. I have cruised with Celebrity twice before and recently did the RCCL Symphony.

We boarded the ship in FLL and it was actually the simplest boarding process ever. We did the whole thing and were on board in about 10 minutes. We did do the preboarding process so all they needed to do was look at passports and take our photo’s.
