Less than expected

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

Found a nice deal monetarily on this cruise which included gratuities. In addition, I have looked on line and found that celebrity is rated number 1 in the more economically priced cruise lines. The Capt. and executive crew were very professional and funny. On one occasion the Capt. said he is going to sound his horn 3 times going by a certain area which he said "because I can" which I thought ...

What a confusing ship

This is an odd one. My and my wife (both mid-30's) just got off this ship and I can say we were not too thrilled about the ship itself. The crew was super, service was spot on, and food was outstanding. I'll just do a quick rundown... Cons: Hardly any public toilets!!!- When dining in Blu there's only one men's toilet (literally 1 toilet) and it services 3 restaurants, 2 bars, and a lounge. ...

Had better!

Was pretty disappopinted with this cruise. It seemed very over crowded with not enough lounge chairs or seating in the main dining room. Not well thought out I think, about the layout or the maxium of people that would be expected to be in one area, everyone on top of eachother. Food was "ok". Some crew members obviously not happy to be there. Some were rude, like you were a bother. There ...

Not awful, not great

This was our 4th cruise with Celebrity and 26th cruise overall. Our first cruise with Celebrity was on the Reflection back in 2014. Everything about that cruise was amazing and we were wowed. We declared Celebrity our favorite cruise line. We took the Solstice to Alaska in 2015 and while it is identical to the Reflection in terms of ship architecture, the Reflection's interior decor we found more ...

Disappointing

Embarkation and disembarkation were excellent. Ship was boring. Basically a quiet ship by midnight. Only disc jockey at 1 or 2 locations after that. Casino was the worst I've seen in years. They were forced to lower table odds because on a few people were playing. Blackjack was awful. All shuffling machines except at $50 & $100. When no one was playing they made one $25 table without a ...

Birthday cruise in concierge class

We chose this cruise to celebrate my 45th birthday. This was our first time on celebrity but we have cruised with carnival NCL and Holland before. We wanted to splurge a little so we did a 10 day in concierge class aft facing balcony. We did have ups and downs unfortunately and I do feel like we got sold on service that we mostly did not experience. Also the food was no better than what we ...

Celebrity Deck Plans LIE!!!

We booked this cruise about a week after getting off the Equinox last year. Last year was an 11 out of 10 starts. This year, maybe an 8. The refurbishment is not anything that anyone can see really. We noticed some new paint and new carpet but that was it. The furniture in the common areas was exactly the same and needed some updating. The staff wasn't as happy as last year either. The ...

Beautiful ship, but lacking in onboard activities

My husband and I decided to cruise on the Celebrity Equinox because it had great reviews and was named one of the top cruise ships. We cruised 7 days out of Fort Lauderdale. The ship is huge and beautiful. The main dining room was elegent and perfect. The staff and crew on the ship was friendly and helpful. we had 1st class service through the duration of our trip. However, the activities ...
