Did not live up to expectations.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

We got a great deal on this cruise and loved the itinerary. The ship was beautiful and in great condition. My husband was missing the outdoor movie screen he so enjoys. Our cabin was spacious with plenty of storage space. I did not like the shower as the shower head was fixed and not detachable. In a small space this is an annoyance. The food in the dinning room was a huge disappointment. ...

Pros: The crew on board the Equinox were great and the service in the dinning room was top notch. The entertainment in the theater was very good and the ships dance group sang and performed very well. The ship is kept spotless from stem to stern. All the crew members were always smiling and asking if there was something we needed. We had a balcony stateroom and it had plenty of hanging and storage ...

Overall my experience was great but from what I had heard about Celebrity, I was disappointed. The food was good but not great. The dessert selection in the dining room was limited and I only had one dessert that was very good. Many of the desserts in the Ocean Café were cake, fluff, and fruit pie filling that all tasted the same. We dined at the Tuscan Restaurant and while the food was good, ...

This was our return transatlantic cruise after 1.5 months travels in Europe. We usually choose an Aqua class or Sky suite, and this time it was Aqua mainly because of Blu restaurant that we like more than Luminae. The Ship is large but there was unavoidable overcrowding....that is expected. Cabin met our expectations, and we had great cabin attendants, Dinesh and Roy. The balcony was washed 2 ...

Our second time on the equinox but very disappointed in the food in the Silhouette dining room and with the on board entertainment. Not much to do on the sea days and had to send my chicken back twice as it was tough and inedible! The dessert menu was limited and the same every evening! However the service was good and the staff all worked hard to ensure you were looked after. We have sailed ...

Our third time on Equinox and standards are slipping

We have cruised on Equinox twice before and have done this cruise once before. For us Celebrity was always top for us before NCL, RCI MSC and others. Unfortunately they appear to have taken a commercial decision to plunge down market. Their decision to actively discourage formal attire (and I use those words advisedly) and stop formal nights whilst they pander to the ripped jeans and T shirt ...

Having sailed with celebrity cruises 3 times before and had a wonderful time we choose this cruise for its destinations feeling full sure the ship would be great. Destinations were really great however the ship now seems to have been down graded to 3 star instead of the 5 star luxury we have had previously. The holiday was more expensive than the year previously so no changes to previous ...

I chose this cruise because of the ports of call...It was suppose to start in Istanbul but becasue of the terrorist issues it was changed to Athens. We were very disappointed about the change since Istanbul was one of out main reasons we picked this cruise, although the added pot was Chania, Crete which was beautiful. The ship was beautiful and the cabins were big. The entertainment was ...

First cruise to celebrate our 40th wedding, had an issue with guest relations which they couldn't resolve and not happy with their attitude. that being said we had fantastic service in Blu restaurant and the cabin staff. Don't like the heavy pressure selling. Organized our own excursions which saved at lot compered to celebrity equinox and met some really nice people. entertainment ...

Everyone we talked to suggested we try a Celebrity Cruise, having completed 30 other cruises with different companies we decided to give it a go, Largest ship we have ever been on, oozed luxury in most areas always sunbeds available, Removed the gratuities once on board, however were reminded about them the day before we disembarked by letter with suggested rates to give. Tipped our cabin ...
