Blood stained sheets

What can you really say about a stateroom where the bedding had obviously not been changed from the previous guests. We didn't realize it the day of embarkmentas the sign in our room said, "not ready yet, will be back at 1pm" though the bed had already been made. We dropped our bags and headed out to the pool (where you will absolutely never find a lounger unless you are a very early riser) When ...

Cruising the Wrong Direction & Invisible Captain

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

This was a boring and dull experience with an invisible Captain George. Saw him the first night and again at Captains Club event...then who knows where he was or what to expect each day of the trip?? This was the opposite from our experience with Captain Leo on the Eclipse - so friendly, visible and informative. Cruising in February to the Caribbean on this ship was so disappointing - a real ...

Many time cruiser but first time very dissappointed

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

We are a retired couple from Florida and have cruised many times. The itinerary was great in the southern Caribbean: Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, Martinique, and St. Kitts. The ship was very tired and worn out with lots of visible rust, weathered wood, stained cushions, ripped chairs, and many other damages noticeable. The food in the main dining room was very good, but the options were ...

Things have definitely changed

We have been on many cruises (about 27 now) and have been suite guests for many of them, commonly referred to as Retreat guests. Well, now, on Celebrity they have taken away many of the perks that used to come with being Retreat Guests like no butler service, and the room was just a little bit larger than a veranda room at 3 times the cost. Also, the Sundeck was only reachable by climbing stairs, ...

Definitely not worth the money! Service was not that great either

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

Honestly I was told Celebrity cruise are a step above the rest. More like down grade, the boat is definitely showing aging in the room other parts. I paid for a deluxe veranda. Still got two regular chairs so big balcony with nothing on it. I strongly don’t recommend buy drink package, because you wait 30-40 minutes for a drink, I couldn’t even get a good buzz going. The main dinning for was ...

Cutbacks Noticed During My 3 Week Celebrity Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

I sailed on the Equinox for three week this past Aug 2023. Tips are going up and Butler service discontinued for S-1 category without compensation. For those of you expecting breakfast delivered you still get it by ordering from room service just like everyone else does and its cold. The main difference is you paid extra for a retreat suit and are paying premium tips. Save your money book a ...

Not a Good Cruise

I will start with the good stuff because there isn't much of it. My waitstaff in the MDR was wonderful but I felt bad for them because of the complaints about the food, the time it took to get it, the taste, portion size, etc. The Guest Relations Desk was very helpful. The Casino staff was wonderful, very helpful and attentive. Getting on and off the ship was so easy and fast. I love the Lawn Club ...

Disappointing - one of our worst cruises.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

This was our 24th cruise but only our 2nd on Celebrity. We just retired (ages 59 and 63) and this was to be our cruise to celebrate our retirement. This ship is in dire need of upgrading. We struggled to find a single chair anywhere in the public areas where the seat had any support at all, they were so old there was no cushioning left in them, fabric frayed and stained. This included the ...

Celebrity is one of the best cruise lines but was extremely disappointed with the latest cruise on the Equinox. This was a first for me. For those that like to exercise (like me) in the morning, please note that this ship carries 3k passengers but gym is very small in comparison. 13 treadmills and most were broken all week. (If you presume 1% of the ship exercises on a treadmill each ...

Don’t Believe the Hype

Some of the worst food, portions super small—lobster the size of crawfish and a cut of prime rib 1/4 inch thick Cabin in need of deep cleaning The only positive of this ship was the service crew. They were exceptional. The Officer staff would not respond even when you engaged them same as the entertainment director. I understand the ships last refurbishment was cut short and all ...
