1-10 of 59 Western Caribbean Celebrity Edge Western Caribbean Cruise Reviews
My wife and I took this 11 day cruise to Aruba with her high school friend and her friend's boyfriend. Pros: the food was excellent, and all the Celebrity staff were friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the Tuscan restaurant and ate there every night of the cruise. We also believed we got a good deal on the cost of the trip and the $400 in free benefits.
Cons: the excursion to ...
I am not a cruise expert but have been on many different ships and lines over 40 years.
We went with Celebrity again because we previously had a great experience in Aqua Class on the Solstice, pre-covid.
Aqua Class on the Edge was not worth the cost. Firstly, I had reserved a balcony room, like I had on Solstice, but it turned out to only have a large window which could be moved up and down, ...
Just off the Edge 2/23/20 Western Carib. I wanted to love this ship. I wanted to love the evolution from the Solstice class ships. That didn't happen and even being extremely optimistic, its just ok.
First off, The Edge is beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous, the furnishings are amazing. Food in restaurants is great! New Oceanview cafe is beautiful! However, these are the things that ...
This is brief critique of our experience on the Edge. Others have accurately described some of the pros and cons in great detail. For us, who have been on 50+ cruises on a variety of cruise lines, we generally cruise with a open mind. We found the food and service to be as excellent as Celebrity’s reputation has always been. We found a lovely crew who bent over backwards to make us happy and found ...
Celebrity, Celebrity, Celebrity.. You touted this ship as the coming of the Lord. Where do I begin? First off, I love most of Celebrity ships and have sailed on most of them. Celebrity sell,s cruise,s because of there reputation of having fantastic food.. So let's start with that. The food was great, no issue's at all. The main issue was going to 4 places to eat every night, unless you bought the ...
We wanted to try the Celebrity Edge. This was our fourth Celebrity cruise. There are many aspects of the ship we truly enjoyed; however, they were other parts of the cruise we felt were not up to prior Celebrity standard.
Cabin: The cabin was beautiful and well appointed. We had a balcony cabin and we enjoyed the enclosed style balcony on the Edge. I am sure it will not be to everyone’s ...
My wife and I are Celebrity Elite members and have cruised nearly 40 times. We chose the EDGE because of the Caribbean location and we wanted to show two of our friends what a great experience Celebrity offered.
We scheduled with our agent two months before the cruise in January. We booked adjacent "Infinite Veranda" staterooms, but were unable to get Anytime Dining, which I thought was odd. ...
We chose this particular ship and sail date, because it was to be the “maiden voyage.” Turns out the MV was for certain VIPs and travel agents and companies. I wanted to see the confetti, champagne and hear the ships whistle. You know, like you see in the movies!
I did enjoy the staff in our particular dining room- the waiter, assistant waiter and adult beverage server. The sommelier ...
Fist time on Celebrity Cruises, but probably the last time since we were not happy with the entertainment and activities on the ship (boring for couple age 50+ with son 20):
GOOD:
Excellent: embarkation and disembarkation
Nice: cabins with infinitive veranda
Very clean new ship
Good food, excellent coffee
Ports and Shore excursion organized well
IMPROVEMT ...
We chose this cruise because I had heard so much about the innovative design.
We were assigned cabin 7206 which was listed as an infinite veranda. We always get ocean front veranda cabins which typically provide close to 180 degree views. This cabin provided about 80 degrees. (see photo our our view) Directly next door was an extended cabin that supported the superstructure for the magic ...
