A great itinerary and a disappointing cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Edge

We wanted a premium experience out of a port which was interesting. We chose Celebrity out of Barcelona. Boarding time on embarkation day was confusing. We chose concierge class but were turned away at the premium line when we tried to check in. I found out later the attendant who turned us away was new and didnt realize we were entitled to priority boarding. The cruise ship port was like a ...

Horribly disappointed

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Edge

We love transatlantic crossing and hoped everything about our two previous Celebrity crossings would be there plus more. The short answer...no way! Where should I start? The biggest ripoff with this ship is the “infinite balcony.” What a crock! It is an ocean view cabin with three extra feet and a window that SOMETIMES goes up and down. If there’s rain or wind or anything else it’s ...

Nice rooms, excursions, terrible food and sick staff and guest everywhere

We chose this cruise because we were celebrating a late honeymoon and babymoon. On the positive side the rooms were nice, we reserved a concierge class balcony with a nice view, most of the entertainment was good, and the excursions were fabulous. We typically opted for the more expensive inclusive excursions and they were well worth the money. We had a wonderful experience in Athens ...

I chose this cruise because of the new ship the Edge. I’m an elite plus member and I’ve been on many ships starting with the Century I believe Celebrity has cause a major faux pas introducing this series of ships. This ship is for those guests who have it $$$$$$ and those who don’t For instance I chose the infinity room It is a lovely room with an oversized picture window. It can be ...

Rerouted ports and Santorini Excursion fail

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Edge

The ship is nice and new. I do like the new ship design but I do not think that it is worth the extra dollars to take the Edge. The staff is nice. Our ports were rerouted due to weather. The rerouting of the ports caused chaos for the shore excursions staff. We had 3 Discovery Collection/Exclusive shore excursions, but were only able to take the one in Athens (which was very nice). The ...

Creepy facial recognition invades privacy and poor value for money

The cruise experience is terrible on this ship with fun prohibited at every turn - one small pool for 3000 guests to fight over - pool marshals warn kids not to splash, just sit and be quiet NO FUN - on the disco the DJ asked that no drinks be brought onto the dance floor NO FUN - casual events such as bingo and trivia are hard to come by, no prizes / swag to be won NO ...

We were three adults all over fifty years of age. We each had a stateroom to ourselves. There are no complaints about the ship and its amenities. It is beautiful and impressive. The food was enjoyable. Some of my gripes: 1. The cruise was sold to us as a mainly adults cruse. There appeared to be more children on the ship than adults. I have four children of my own, so I know what it is ...

Great ship...if you like dark and dreary interiors and poorly designed cabins.

Two years ago, while sailing on the Celebrity Constellation, we heard about their new ship, the Edge. The ship’s description and concept looked interesting so we ultimately signed up for the May 25, 2019 cruise to Italy, Malta and Greece. Unfortunately, after boarding the ship, we ran into one disappointment after another, not the least of which was our discovery that the infinite balcony ...
