This was the first time we had sailed with Celebrity Cruises and what an experience. This was the 6th cruise in 3 years and it surpassed all the others.. We arrived at Southampton at 11.05 and were on board by 11.30. Never had it so quick. the organisation was speedy, friendly and first class. We are advised at 1.30pm that our stateroom was ready, we were on deck 12 in Concierge class. The only downside of this was the fact that stateroom was under the Ocean View restaurant. This did not matter during the day as no noise was heard but in the middle of the night and also about 6am there was noise from things being dropped and chairs being moved by the staff. If you travel on this deck make sure you are opposite end of ship. The service and food in the main dining room, the Moonlight Sonata, was first class, we could not fault it. We decided it was not necessary to pay extra in the Speciality Restaurants as the food was so good. Breakfast and lunch in Ocean View was very good with a good selection and good service. Despite the number of passengers we always found a table. The main evening entertainment in the Eclipse Theatre was of a very high standard, apart from a very good string trio which played in various different areas we did not go to any other of the entertainments. My Wife enjoyed the Painting Classes. I enjoyed the cookery demonstrations. The shore excursions were on the whole good but probably on a future cruise visiting main cities I would use the local Hop on and Off buses. Disembarkation was smooth and relatively quick, although there being only one gangway at Southampton there were queues. Will we travel with Celebrity again? Definitely if the price is right. Checked in on line, also bank card check in, very quick process no waiting any where, embarkation and disembark very efficient, help by staff waiting for passengers who needed them, for guest alone a welcome sight, for help with wheel chairs also on disembark day there is help, We were welcomed on board by a very happy crew with a lovely refreshing drink after a long journey to get to Southampton, On every port we visited on arrival back to ship we were welcomed back on board with ice flannel and a cold refreshing drink, how thoughtful!! Cabin as you are advised, not ready until 1pm. cases arrived a bit later in time to refresh for diner, we moved table to balcony to accommodate mobility scooter as you are not to leave scooter in corridor.wedge can be provided to keep door open as you go out. Cases under bed good idea, take a 3 pin long adapter to charge batteries for scooter battery, also camera battery, don't forget a 2pin round plug that adapt to 3 pin what they use on board. Ship spotlessly clean noticed a lot of cleaning to hand rails everywhere, lifts, toilets even a tissue to cover toilet seat, toilet assistant always with a smile.what more can you have for a 5 + liner, First day at sea which was a nice relaxing day listening to string quartet, who could have been in the theatre show which they deserve with other musicians that we had pleasure in listening to in the foyer to replace that humiliating hypnotist, we attended most shows which were ok theatre shows could be better. Dinning experience, we had early dining better if you are early riser, and to go to theme nights on pool deck, great for watching a show in the moonlight how romantic can that be, we shared a table with 6 other guest lovely friends interesting conversation, albeit i have dietary problems that caused a few problems which was very courteously dealt with by our lovely waiting staff on table 144 well done to all many thanks to chef for his help in preparing my meals.excellent food choice, food can be repeating if you have dietary needs.this is where Ocean view cafe came in handy. We had a lovely brunch lunch where chef made beautiful ice sculptures and that scrumptious chocolate fountain where you put pieces of fruit under, mouth is watering just thinking about it Ocean view cafe a lovely choice where you are able to choose quantity for your needs without waste, help is there for disable people travelling on own just ask Excursions we did this on our own by taxi, ask for a price first, especially if there is a place you would like to visit, like we did in Seville, we found taxi easily at all ports, Mobility scooter i use is a shop mobility small enough to go into a boot of car, this we found more convenient as i am unable to negotiate steps of coaches. All ports where we docked are wheel chair friendly, even tender at split with a chair lift and help with staff to board tender was no problem,Cartagena (Spain)  Beautiful port clean very friendly taxi near to port gate, Lovely for wheel chair , mobility scooter, disability, walking, shopping superb shops, handbags shoes a must. Venice was a problem we tried a ship excursion to Murano Burano island NOT A VERY GOOD IDEA if you have any kind of mobility problem,I tried not using scooter, for boarding excursion boat a big mistake, as there is a lot of walking i couldn't keep up with guide better going on own on a water taxi, where you visit islands at leisure, OH you can also borrow a wheel chair from ship. On this lovely liner Eclipse you are well looked after by all, There is no problem i can find for a traveler on your own. Handsome Captain to all his happy staff which makes a cruise a memorable one Many thanks to all of you. Read Less

Was very nervous before we went on cruise. need not have worried. embarkation was a thrill champagne etc. wow!. Stateroom was gorgeous but one bed not enough three singles soon brought to us. tea making facilities most welcome. shower room was great for my wheelchair bound daughter. our attendants Jose and William treated us wonderful. every crew member from Captain downwards were so polite and caring. Que the entertainment director was friendly. Food in moonlight sonata exquisite. our waiting staff a joy. Andreea and myoman (pronounced yeoman made my birthday wonderful. so did Karol and Leon and Dennis and Daryl. nothing too much. and they cut up Lisa's food for her. the trips ashore were easy access why do our transport here not cater for disabled when the other countries do. if something was not right it was quickly sorted. Theatre was wheelchair friendly. every where was so elegant. we want to come back for another trip. wonder what the Baltic trip is like. Well done too to Iulia Barabus for looking after our trips. only downside was 15% on top of every drink that we ordered and we felt we had to add a tip. on top! and for us that do not drink a lot the drinks packages too expensive. they have a rule you cannot share these packages with members of your own family so three packages would be too expensive. water was almost 5 dollars and we spent a fortune on water well over 50 dollars on these alone. From the moment we arrived at Southampton, everything was taken out of our hands and we were guided through the embarkation process with efficiency and ease. On entering our stateroom we were surprised at its size and spaciousness and especially the balcony, which was about the same size as you would find in any good hotel. The quality of the furnishings and facilities was exceptional and the cleanliness of the whole ship was amazing. Cleaning of the various areas was going on 24 hours per day - even the staterooms were done twice a day and clean towels provided twice a day. This was five star treatment and the crew were the icing on the cake. Everyone was there to ensure that the passengers had a good time, they were pleasant and courteous and went out of their way to be helpful. Best of all they joined in the fun and far from the stuffy cruise we imagined a five star ship would provide, we were pleased to find that the whole two weeks was geared to ensuring the passengers had everything they required and more. The food was just out of this world and I tried some things I thought I never would and loved it. The standard of service was excellent and the choice of meals extensive so that there was something for everyone. Cooked to perfection the chefs did an outstanding job with the food and are to be congratulated. What a fabulous experience this cruise was. Originally a celebration of two retirements and so an excuse to 'push the boat out' one last time as far as the expense was concerned, it proved to be a wonderful trip which was worth every penny. We shall have to keep doing the lottery now as we can't wait to do it again. I have travelled the world for many years, seen some wonderful places and done some amazing things, but I am so pleased that I had the opportunity to sail in such a magnificent ship before I have to hang up my travelling shoes for good. Thank you Celebrity and all your fantastic staff for making this cruise the trip of a lifetime. Read Less
