We took the Celebrity Eclipse from Miami,FL to Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts. I cannot say enough good things about this cruise. We were in the Concierge class rooms and received 1st class service all the way. It was expensive but worth every penny! The food was fabulous. We did not go to any of the speciality restaurants but ate in the dining room and on the deck and every meal was spectacular. We did not have one "fair" meal. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection all the time. Room service was always delivered very quickly. The only minor complaint I have was the gym. The classes are "pay only" and I feel like they were not worth what they charged. I think the classes should have been cheaper or "free." We are thinking of taking another Celebrity cruise and I am wondering if the classes are free if you get "Aqua Spa" class??? Anyway, everything ran very smoothly on this cruise, from embarkation to disembarkation. Read Less

This was my wife and my first cruise together. It was a great escape from our hectic lives and I (who normally love adventure vacationing where you arrive home completely exhausted) even loved it. Celebrity provided a fantastic escape. We really did feel like celebrities so the name fits well. The staff are first class. The cruise had families on board, but it felt more like an adult cruise. Our room was on the back of the ship on the bottom deck. The advantage of this location is that you get to see the ports as you sail away. Since this room was the last one near the corner, it was possible to see the whole rear view as well as part of the view off the port side. Downsides of the location are the constant hum of the azipods (360 degree articulating propeller pods), the fact that you can feel movement more since it is at the aft end of the ship, and that the room is a good distance from the elevators. The hum may have been a blessing in disguise though. Once you get used to it, it blocks out other noises. We loved the room amenities. The bathroom was a nice size with a shower that even my 6'5", 210 lb frame was comfortable in. The TV options were more than adequate with lots of free on demand movies and shows. I love learning about how it all works and enjoyed the "about the ship" programs. The bed was very comfortable as was the couch. There was even space to get our luggage out of the way. The balcony was a great place to watch the sunset, view the ports retreating into the distance, and just relax. Read Less
