The Royal Suite was perfect for what we were looking for in terms of size -- good common space, dining table, very large outdoor verandah. The large main bathroom was sizable and very nice to have. You did not feel like you were on a ship, but rather in a nice hotel room. The smaller half bath could have been better planned out and a nice stall shower placed there, instead of so much excess space in the main bathroom. But it was a nice second toilet, to keep the main bathroom from getting, to be honest, too stinky. We had stayed in a 2BR/2BA Club Level hotel suite pre and post cruise. The bathroom in the suite was much nicer than the bathrooms at our fancy hotel, actually. My 8-yr old enjoyed the on-demand movies, though the selection could be expanded somewhat. Verandah was huge, more than large enough for our entire party of five to be out there to enjoy viewing Hubbard Glacier. Clear view down to the water (no obstructions) and we could even see guests boarding the smaller boat for their excursion at Hubbard. We used the outdoor tub once, which was nice, since it was a very windy sail (roughest cruise I've been on yet and getting immersed the water is a great way to stave off seasickness). Having our own tub was a nice alternative to the constantly overcrowded (and loud) hot tubs on the pool deck. We could also dry out our umbrellas on the verandah while at port. The entrance to this stateroom is very close to the main stairs, but noise was not a problem. Suite only sleeps up to 4, and the person on the sofabed found it extremely uncomfortable, with a lot of vibration from below. The sofabed was a disappointment; DIsney offers a far superior product in that category. Our biggest disappointment was our butler (read above). He definitely did not make us feel special, more like we were bothersome and that he had more important, other suite guests to take care of. While service from the stateroom attendant was top notch, service from the butler was a low point of this cruise. We will write a separate review for our Aqua Class stateroom. Read Less

Loved the size of the cabin and the two bathrooms. I hope I have an opportunity to cruise in the Royal Suite again.

The cabin was spacious and in pretty decent shape despite its age. It didn’t have as much storage for 3 of us for a 2 week cruise as we would have liked. There was a supporting beam next to the sliding door that opened up to the balcony which partially blocked our windows and limited our view. We also noticed that Celebrity Cruises don’t do towel animals like other cruiselines. It is a small detail but makes our little one happy so we missed it. Not sure if this was how it was supposed to be or if our butler simply failed to do it. Read Less

Bathroom, would have preferred it a little smaller so the walk in wardrobe could be a little larger. Nice balcony. Son used the Jacuzzi and loved it. Our cabin was superb. Take as much as you want (there's room) I kept all my things in the walk in closet next to the bedroom and my husband used the wardrobe and cupboards in the lounge. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were never disturbed by noise. We were on deck 11 and you may get more noise from above on a warm cruise where more use is made of the top deck. Our lounge/dining area was lovely, plenty of room, made spending time there very enjoyable. We ate at the table, made drinks at the wet bar, also there is a guest loo by the entrance which is handy. The bathroom was great, lovely shower, jacuzzi bath, two sinks, can't fault it. The balcony was sheltered, spacious, we managed to sunbathe a couple of times and use the outside jacuzzi a few times to, for a Norwegian cruise I think that's pretty good. Our Butler Richard was first rate, helpful, always available but never intrusive. The only thing that could improve this room would be opening window/door in the bedroom, I don't like sleeping in a/c. All in all, a fantastic room which won't disappoint. By the way (for the complainers) if there's something you need, just ask! you'll get it. Slippers, tea (on demand) laundry services etc etc. You do get a lot of extras in this suite, but I won't say what, it's nice to have surprises, but just a note, don't buy internet or drinks packages before boarding, what a while, there are perks to the Royal Suite!! Oh and there is an ipod player, and fantastic music on the TV which we played all the time (no one complained so the rooms are well soundproofed) Read Less
Extremely disappointed : Cabin 1609

Amazing storage, Great closet space (not enough hangers) Fabulous balcony! The "hot tub" on our balcony was basically a bathtub.
