We chose a cabin 8271 amidships, near the elevators which could take my husband directly down to deck 2 where the dialysis units were set up in the medical bay. The cabin was quiet despite being near the elevators, because there is a wall separating the elevators from the hallway to the cabins in that location. The cabin was fine, except there were very few drawers and a small closet. Others have commented on this, too. There were two lockers above the bed that were difficult to reach, so basically inaccessible to us seniors. Read Less

Were were midships in 9215 on the port side and it was great! There are three cabins in this location that are on the edge of the aft "bubble" where the cabins extend further out over the beam of the ship. The great things about these few cabins are: (1) Extended length of verandas to nearly double size; and (2) wonderful unobstructed views forward (at least below deck 11/12). There are matching cabins with these perks on the starboard side. Hint: Choose your side of the ship wisely. For this cruise itinerary we should have picked the same cabin on the starboard side. This is a big deal to me but maybe not for you. I liker to get up at sunrise and see us come into the ports we visit (a Navy thing). If you sleep in through this experience, it doesn't matter which side you are on. On this cruise, the port side was great for 2 of 10 ports and not perfect for the others. Sometimes picking the right side is as easy as looking whether you are going clockwise or on your trip. Read Less

Great room, quiet and comfy with extended balcony. Nicely laid out, beds next to veranda door, always love the storage over the bed! Plenty of room to store our stuff in the cabin.

Cabin was kept very clean and tidy although our cabin steward was taken ill the day before our departure and we never saw him again, although someone did stand in for him. We had a toilet flushing problem and reported it to the steward and it was fixed within 30 minutes. A lightbulb went by the side of the bed and although the steward was aware nothing was done to replace it. I had assistance to get on and off the boat at Southampton as I have recently had an operation to remove half of my right lung due to lung cancer. Read Less
