First TA Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

This was our first TA cruise but our 5th time on the Eclipse. It felt like we were visiting an old friend. I won't describe the ship as this has been done many times before, I will just describe my first TA experience. Even on booking the cruise I was worried that I would be bored with the six days at sea from Southampton to Boston and boy was I right! The first two days were OK as the weather ...

Although my wife and I are not seasoned cruisers, we have sailed on the Eclipse a couple of years ago, and enjoyed the experience. We thought it would be nice to try a Transatlantic crossing, even deciding on a back to back cruise, adding on the Caribbean for a little winter sun before flying back from Miami to London. The dining from Southampton, we found to be more our taste than the slightly ...

This review is largely about the new entertainment package which Celebrity have introduced in the last month As a veteran of nearly 20 Celebrity cruises I have to say that a change is not before time as the old shows had passed their sell by date. Celebrity have now brought their entertainment in house so they now produce and stage their own shows, and I am afraid that the consensus of opinion ...

We have Elite status and usually travel Concierge level. Over the time we have really enjoyed our experiences hence the joy of ...

Great Transatlantic Cruise; Three Cheers for the Cruise Director and Staff

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Overall, the experience was very good, the boat was clean, bright, and well maintained. The traffic flow was well managed by the layout, so it never had bottlenecks like some cruise ships forcing diners through the photo studio etc. which was great and one of the reasons we like celebrity ships. The biggest disappointment was in the service, not the quality of the service, but the lack of people ...

Second Voyage on the Eclipse for me and will not be the last. Very easy embarkation, took longer to walk to the ship from check in than to go through the check in process. Ship is still as good as last time but couldn’t see many differences from last time despite it being in dry dock and upgraded from last time, only differences I could see were 2 new plasma screens and new fridge cabinets ...

Great Ship, Great Cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Embarkation: Boarding the ship was a complete disaster. My wife has mobility issues and it took thirty minutes just to get a wheel chair for her. Check in was handled by a person who operated at one speed: slow. Another twenty-five minutes was spent completing the check-in process even thought we completed all pre-boarding paperwork. Once on board, things improved considerably. Cabin: We ...
