We picked it because of the itinerary and the ship looked like a good fit for a couple with older teens. We were very impressed with the ship, ports, and service. (this was the Italy/Greece cruise). The ship is very modern and clean. The food was great, especially Luminae. Le Petite Chef was fun too (and we also enjoyed the Tuscan Grill and the Lawn Club). I loved everything about this cruise except for the pool and entertainment. The entertainment is not good, so if that is your thing - you won't find it here. (They even need a new music director - the Sunset bar had a playlist from the 80's going all the time. I feel like even through most folks were in their 40's-50's - they should try harder to set a more current vibe with their playlists). The pool is very crowded and not much space to lay out. That being said, we loved the ship, staff, restaurants, etc. This is a GREAT ship and a very tight operation. We never felt crowded - getting on and off was easy, etc. If in doubt, spring for the suite. Very worth it! Also had a blast watching all the people from different countries cheer on their team for the World Cup. Great trip! Read Less

It was our twenty fifth wedding anniversary and our first cruise so I had some misgivings about it ! I did not need to worry as the staff were fabulous, the food was amazing, our room was gorgeous and Maynard who looked after us was fantastic! Everything was well organised and it was great that security and safety were taken very seriously so we had no issues about leaving the ship or returning to it as we knew exactly what to do! We met some lovely new friends although we did not feel pressured to eat with anyone if we wanted to be on our own. We booked a number of gourmet restaurants but the food in the restaurants on board was delicious! We had great fun in the Qsine restaurant it was so much fun a real experience. We are saving up to go on another Celebrity cruise in 2020 Read Less

I will compare Celebrity to a recent similar itinerary on Oceania: 1) Guest trash left for hours on rooftop terrace and pool area. Never happened on Oceania 2) Staff service at pool and rooftop for drinks was almost non-existent on Celebrity 3) Oceania freely gave us good water during a hot cruise. Celebrity not only took away glasses at 3:00 for you to help yourself but nickled and dimed you to death over bottled water. Sent us out on a 9 hr excursion with no free water. 4) Bar staff outdoors was rude and if you didn’t care to buy an unlimited drink package handled your request and card uncarefully. Had to watch them like a hawk. Oceania staff manners and efficiency were outstanding 5) Oceania constantly had their handrails and public surfaces being disinfected and wiped. Only thing that I ever saw Celebrity do was to keep their deck surfaces wet at very inappropriate times 6) because ONE cabin underneath the table tennis room complained, they moved both tables out onto the pool area resulting in very loud noise and ping pong balls hitting you on your chaise lounge 7) Most importantly the buffet food and service was like a Denny’s only with less selection and it took pleading to have the staff bring me hot coffee instead of having to carry it dangerouslly through a crowd. All their chef inspired food had heavy Indian spices and curry in them or the bacon and eggs were either under or overcooked. Oceania’s buffet was 5-star and often offered shrimp and lobster on the buffet. In addition Oceania is a healthier ship as they do not allow guests to touch repeated utensils at the buffet. Will not return to Celebrity Read Less

We chose to cruise with Celebrity for our Greek Island trip. We have been cruising for 15 years and have sailed with several other companies. Unfortunately, after flying to Venice, staying in Venice, cruising for a week, and spending a couple days in Rome after the cruise, the highlight of the trip was the disaster that happened on the island of Santorini. We arrived excited to take the excursion that we booked via Celebrity. After leaving the ship, we found ourselves in a half hour traffic jam. Evidently, there were three cruise ships that arrived as well as a cargo ship that was being unloaded. It took so long to get up the mountain on the bus that we only had 30 minutes when we arrived at the first stop which was the winery. We arrived at the winery and the chaos started. We were to sample three different wines and enjoy the view, and then if we wanted to go through the gift shop, we could purchase our favorite wine. Unfortunately, as soon as the Winery specialist began to talk about the wine, several other tours groups swarmed the place and we were not able to hear the complete introduction. Next, the lines were so long, we were not able to sample each of the three wines. Our excursion leader then began calling for everyone to get on the bus for the next part of the tour. A very frustrating beginning to what would be a disastrous day. The next stop was Oia, which is a neat cliff hanger type of village, however it is basically all shopping and eating establishments. I like to experience the culture and meet the local residents. I did meet many shop owners and only a few of them were actually from Greece. Other than the view there isn’t much to see or do. Of course, getting back to the bus was quite a hike and the traffic jams continued. We finally arrived at our last stop and our guide parked the bus quite a way from the main town of Fira. We had several older folks in our tour so we helped them walk up the steep incline to get to the town. We could have parked closer, but there were so many busses jamming the small city we ended up in the first available spot. Our guide showed us to the line to ride the cable car back down to the port area. She stated we could spend some time in the town then go to the port. We looked at the line and decided it was so long that maybe we should get in line so we weren’t late for our dinner reservation. After 2 hours in line we finally made it to where we go see the cable car entrance. About this time, other tour guides brought there tours and marched them to the front of the line. Now we had been in line for about 2 hours with the sun beating down on us, we were thirsty and also needed to use the restroom which was nowhere in sight. A tour guide operator started to push to the front of the line with her group and those of us in line moved in front of the group to block them from cutting in front of us. People were booing and shouting. The tour group that was cutting in front of us, starting pushing and pulling to get to the front of the line. A riot was about to break out. Two men started pushing and pulling me, then I intervened, my children and wife started worrying that I was about to get into a fight with these people. It was really an ugly scene. When asked why the tour operator did not go to the end of the line, she stated she would go anywhere she wanted. My family ended up separated from me during this time as the tour group merged into the people that had been waiting peacefully. During this time, I saw team members from Royal Caribbean and Costa. They were walking up and down the line checking on their guests and telling them not to worry about the ship leaving as it was approaching their departure time. We did not see anyone from Celebrity until we were at the entrance to the cable car building. I did let her know that this situation was nearing a riot and they needed to help diffuse the situation and also people needed water, restrooms etc. After finally getting on the cable car and walking toward the boarding point to get back on the ship, I mentioned to the attendant the trouble that we had and what was happening. He took our room number and said they would follow up with us. Back on board the ship, we had to quickly change and run to the dining room. We were still sweaty and not really ready for a nice dining experience. We had to rush through dinner so we could watch the show. Our day that we had looked forward to, had become a day we did not want to remember at all. I may not be painting this picture properly, but the next day at breakfast my family did not want to leave the ship. They were nervous that since the same ships were going to Mykonos as well, that the same situation would occur and they were not happy with the Greek islands at all. Luckily, Mykonos was much better. I want to describe how Celebrity handled the Santorini disaster. After notifying the attendant at the port entrance, I went to the guest relations desk to ask for a refund for the terrible shore excursion and to share my experience. The guest service attendant told me that the shore excursion desk would follow up with me. I had a message on my room phone after getting back from Mykonos to come to the shore excursion desk. My wife and I proceeded to the shore excursion desk and they asked us to describe the situation and told us that there manager would review the situation and get back to us. The next day was a day at sea and we received another message to come to the excursion desk. We went to the desk and they said that they would offer a 30 percent refund of our excursion cost. At this point, I asked to speak with the manager. I informed the manager that I flew from the USA to Venice for this cruise, spent a couple days in Venice to get used to the time change and also show my children around Venice. (I am very familiar with Venice) I also paid for 3 staterooms, excursions, meals, gifts, etc. on this trip and planned a couple days in Rome after the cruise and then fly home. I told him that I had an extremely high investment in this trip and for one of the days to be ruined by a terrible excursion that I booked via Celebrity, that I should receive at a minimum a 100 percent refund. He finally relented and gave the refund. I want to point out that in each of these encounters with Celebrity on this event, they never took ownership of the situation and only blamed the tour operator. I believe that a sign of a quality company is what they do when things go wrong. I wished they said “Sorry and we will take care of you” and make a bad situation, better. I wanted them to take ownership the first time that I engaged the guest relations desk and not have to deal with them three separate times. I should not have had to ask for a full refund, it should have been a given. The solution should not have taken three days to resolve, but should have been immediate. The take away I have from Celebrity is that customer satisfaction is only something that you get if complain multiple times. By the way they eventually offered 50 dollars off of my next cruise. Really? I spent so much money on this trip, 50 dollars would not pay for a taxi ride. Many of my fellow cruisers were really upset and Celebrity said they were overwhelmed by the number of complaints and that is why it took so long to respond. I think that they were attempting to minimize their financial impact instead of making a ship wide announcement talking about the issue. Celebrity should have described what they were going to do in the future to prevent this from happening again and taken ownership of the problem. A refund and some empathy would have gone a long way. As a matter of statistics, only 10 percent of the people actually ever complain, most just never come back as customers. I heard a lot of complaints on the ship for the rest of the cruise. FYI, Celebrity knows that this situation will happen time and time again based upon their cruise schedule. I wonder how many people they have notified that they will have a bad experience in Santorini. Now to talk about the cruise in general: We booked three staterooms for my family of six, however I will reflect on my stateroom and experience. One of the things that made this cruise on the Constellation nice, were the fellow cruisers. What a nice courteous group of people. I have sailed on other ships with other companies and was very surprised at some of the things that I saw and heard. I will say no more. The Constellation is older and is showing some signs of age, but a nice ship overall. No bells and whistles like the newer ships, but decent. Our dining staff the first night was not very good, but the second and remaining nights they were top notch. Our two waiters Nevada and Frederick were awesome. I love sitting down at the table and the drinks that you want arrived without asking. Promptness and professionalism more than accurately describe these fantastic waiters. Our room attendant was great as well. He would open the door for us when we returned to the stateroom and was pleasant and seemed to love the job he was doing. Our stateroom was nice and well lit. The balcony was not huge but larger than the tiny balcony we had last year on NCL. The lounge chairs reclined which was very nice as well. I think the food quality and choices were nice. The coffee and tea seemed watery and not as good as I would have expected. The dessert choices were great and the Fathers Day cakes were a nice touch. I have been a cruiser for 15 years and fortunately I have not had any significant issues. I obviously like cruising. The Celebrity cruise was good, not great. Other than Corfu, I really didn’t find the Greek islands that intriguing. I would go back to Corfu and Capri, I also like Venice, Naples, and Rome. Overall, I am glad I went on the trip, I will never go back to Santorini. All I can do is share this with others and hope they have the info they need to make a good decision. Read Less

Visiting at least three new destinations with a cruise line we used last year. Fantastic views of Venice on departure and arrival. Although lots of tours available, they were, as always, very pricey and all ports of call seemed easily accessible, so we made our own way. Mikenos: simple walk around town, Dubrovnik same Santorini: early start advised, take cable car (not at all scary even for normally height averse wife) to Fira. Very touristy town. Wander to bus station and take local bus 1.80 euros return to Oia (45 mins). Dramatic buildings on cliff sides, well worth visit. Bus back and onto empty cable car at about noon. Easy, cheap and fun. Ship tour added in winery (Greek wine?) for 100+euros each... Athens: Ignore tours, ignore taxis and take local bus x80 from pier, to within 400yards of Acropolis (€2.50 return!). Again early start recommended ie 8.30am Quite a climb up to top of Acropolis, hot and humid. Take water, hat, sunblock. Again back on board at lunchtime, before crazy heat. Olympia: tour 100 euros, and ran out of time. Didn't visit must see museum....Ignore tours, ignore 80 euro taxis and take one of many coaches located at end of pier. 10 euros return including 2.5 hours at destination which is about right. Go to excavations first so that you visit the first museum 10/10 when it starts getting hot. Second museum 6/10 of olympics architecture back beside coach park. All in all super package. 12 euro entry but if you are a senior show proof eg euro health card for half price entry to here and Acropolis. Stayed in Aqua again. Very good. Blu superb. Whole cruise pricey, included jet from Stansted. Poor. Read Less

We chose this cruise due to it’s itinerary (specifically wanted Dubrovnik, Santorini, Mykonos-Delos, Naples). Although we Try to avoid peak Jun-August travel, we found a very good deal on Aqua class cabin (through major box-store travel). Overall a great cruise! Thanks again to Cruise Critic ..Met many interesting and fun people through Cruise Critic Roll call and shared great excursions. Also had a couple gatherings with Roll Call people including official Meet and Mingle where we were joined by Captain and senior staff-wonderful time. Made a new friendship (sue & John) Ship and amenities were very good. Staff fantastic! Great itinerary . Full cruise so generally pool and food areas were crowded, if you kept looking away from prime areas, we always found a seat or place to put pool towels. The cruisers were overall younger group of people that I’m used to on celebrity. A lot of 20 to 30-year-old. It may be because it was June and school- graduation was done. With the Great places we visited , we were off the ship almost every day . In Aqua class, we are at Blu restaurant, Our serving staff was superb. We are used to main dining room, set time same staff. Similar set up. Arrived usually around 6:30. Table for two moved within area but talked with people at adjacent tables. Arrived at 7pm one night and got moved to a different area and different staff.- we adapted. We checked out MDR menuto see if there was something specific we wanted to eat, Our waiter Naike was always amenable. Blu offered enough delicious options. Let me preface, we never went hungry nor missed an alcoholic beverage. Loved going to cafe bacio for coffees and teas (included on classic beverage package) great dessert and pastries. However We were disappointed in the buffet food. Often unappealing and not great flavor.. Pizza was great , hamburgers and hotdogs and french fries always available . We used to be able to make sandwiches but couldn’t find sandwich meats , only cheeses, Area aft of buffet -grill offered different options but line was usually very long. Still not exactly sure what we expected and why we were disappointed in the buffet food We only made it to breakfast at Blu one time and it was very good. Other mornings git food at buffet (average ) and by day 4 we realized you can order breakfast in your room with a menu that should be in your cabin. I love the Yogurt granola parfait so yummy ! Coffee was pretty sub-par. Entertainment was pretty good . The theater was usually quite empty except the very last night ( cruise director said younger people don’t do shows) Silent Disco was a hit. You get headphones and listen to three different types of music . our options were ABBA, hip-hop and R&B. You all dance and have a great time . Except for iPad/ iPhone classes, did not find the expected Celebrity lectures ( spa sales don’t count). Ports of Call Venice is magical . We used people mover from Venice transportation area and walked to ship. Longer walk to the ship than we thought (plus it was hot day) around 1 pm. dropped off our luggage outside and then easy-breezy checked in. None of the deck 9 rooms were ready ( hallway doors were closed with sign saying rooms not ready). Glad we did not leave Venice early to check-in at 11am per out Celebrity instructed time.. one bag arrived within hours others not till after dinner. Remember to carry bathing suit and have acceptable dinner attire / makeup with you when you board . Be sure you go on deck when you depart Venice. The views of the Grand Canal and St Marks as you sail out from 11 stories up (upper deck) is unforgettable! Dubrovnik is new favorite place to visit Hired private guide of coast and city walls through ToursByLocals (Marijana) shared with cruise critic hook up. Unbelievably fantastic! Lots of stairs so be prepared. Highly recommend Marijana Corfu was fine. Shared Corfu cabs tour went to Empress Sissy’s palace drove around. Enjoyed the produce shop up on the. Mountain. Good food and small gifts. Santorini was supposed to be a highlight of our trip. I was there 30 years ago and loved it. Unfortunately they were 4 other cruise ships in port that day so that meant 10,000+ people all trying to get on the island at the same time. It took an hour and a half to get off of the constellation As you had to wait for tender and the celebrity excursions people got first priority. We took the cable car up and finally after 21/2 hours met our private tour guide. Traffic wac stopped dead, City was packed with people. Did find delicious Greek food cafe and excellent gelato. Knowing the crowds we cut our tour short, I’m glad we wanted to walk down, because it was a 2+ hour wait for the cable car. Mykonos, we did the celebrity excursion to Delos. It’s not that hard to do it by yourself but by taking it withCelebrity you were the first group on the Island of Delos at 9 AM. It’s an incredible site to know this was a thriving culture over 2500+ years ago . If you like antiquities and ruins I highly recommend the isle of Delos for you there is no shade and minimal water so be prepared Ate gyros lunch at Leonidis cafe in Myckonos. Naples we hired a private tour guide to walk around the city of Naples for two hours and the Celebrity Herculaneum tour. Celebrity switched the time of Herculaneum tour and gratefully are tours by locals guide (Simona) was able to adapt . I recommend you go to Pompeii or Herculaneum and realize a thriving culture existed and then was wiped out is unbelievable to see . we went to Pompeii three years ago and decided to go to Herculaneum as the ruins are better preserved . Herculaneum tour was very easy and well done. Disembark was easy. Ate at blue restaurant for breakfast left there and waited in the lounge area till our number was called. We used Cuvitavechia cab 65€ They were waiting for us at appointed 9:30. . Shared the cab with two other people who were dropped off at airport and then we went to our hotel - arrived at hotel by 11:45am . Loved our cruise on Celebrity Constellation mostly because of ports and people we got to meet. High level of expectation of Celebrity was not was we hoped, but being we got a good deal on cabin We would do it again. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it was an area we had never been to before and we were quite happy with the Celebrity line as we have cruised with them twice before. The June itinerary was perfect for us, just getting into the hot season in many ports and still not too many young kids who were still in school. So far every cruise I have been on with Celebrity has amazed me about their customer service. Their crews are top notch and without criticism. Most crew seemed happy and always had a smile and greeting for you. They could not do enough! Ikadek was our cabin steward. I swear these stewards hide around the corner to lean up you rooms as soon as you step out. He was wonderful. Even left us a nice surprise for a celebration evening. Embarkation was quite quick and so was disembarkation on the last day. We chose to self-disembark on the last date as we had booked private transfer to the airport. Seemless. Excursion prices are getting steep with Celebrity so we booked most of our excursions through private tour companies at substantial savings and seemingly better things to see and do. Santorini was tendered obviously but very efficiently done. The Island itself is just crowded and the cable car return was very crowded having to wait one hour in a long snaking line but I guess we could have competed with the donkeys on our own and walked down. Our choice so I can really complain too much. The scheduled docking a departure times were always early. Everyone got back on board pretty promptly so no delays there and we were always early to every port. We chose the Classic Beverage package for this cruise. In the past, it covered the basic drinks and coffees, but this time we seemed to get dinged for a dollar every time now you ordered a coffee with alcohol in it. That had not happened in the past. But staff were pleasant about it and quite clearly let you know if there was an additional charge. Good thing we had an onboard credit that we unsuccessfully tried to use up!! Entertainment was very good but not as many full cast shows as we had in the past. A larger variety so we chose to skip a couple. The first night of Silent Disco was fun with a good variety of music for all ages but the second night must have been for the younger set as it was all electronic and dance club that I did not recognize at all. Maybe showing my age?? I think the design of the Grand Foyer is nice but not as a venue to dance. The large "rose" flower statue just takes up floor space - move it out of there. The grand stairway should have been moved farther back to the aft wall to make a larger dance floor space since so many activities and musical acts performed there. [I guess I am a nautical ship designer now?!?!] I feel the Lawn Club is a waste of space for relaxing. Very rarely was anyone on the grass or in the large cabanas there. The Sunset Bar is taken up by smokers on one whole side. And they need to turn down the music on the speakers a lot. Could not hear a conversation with someone sitting directly beside me Some concerns about this cruise are as follows: 1] We are non-smokers and had booked a balcony stateroom but unfortunately were not informed that we were on the port aft side directly above the smoking area. So we may as well have lived among the smokers. This information should be made available to guests. I understand the need for smokers to get their fix but not at my expense. It physically makes me ill. The smokers were to be outside on the Deck Five area and to the aft side of the doorway. They were never moved away from directly in front of the doors and therefore directly under the staterooms above [6235, 6233, 6231, 6229, and 6227]. And we were informed that the port side is good for viewing docking and departures. Wrong this time, Everything happened on the starboard side this cruise. 2] Opus Restaurant menu is tired. We ate more off the classic side than the specials of the night. Being the 3rd cruise, we found the menu was becoming the same as previous cruises. We actually preferred to eat in the Oceanview Cafe a few nights for better variety. But I must state the wait staff [Vlada, Jomar, Juan and Carlos were absolutely the best. Great fun and attentive service made the meals quite fun. They even made a point of celebrating people's anniversaries with song, cake and champagne. 3] Officer Rank Insignia should be posted somewhere. You see so many officer staf walking around the ship but have no idea what their function or rank might be. In fact one day I saw the Captain sitting with some other staff and did not realize who he was until I saw him at the Liar's Night show. Maybe as part of the television shows and ship information, they should tell you what their arm stripes mean. I did ask a few but you are reluctant to so so. Lots of security though, felt very safe on board. 4] External stateroom noise. It may seem trivial but when you can hear certain "activities" in the stateroom above you [love is grand - and prolonged!!!], at all hours of the night - from midnight through until 2:00 am, 4:00 am, etc, I does disturb the sleep of others to be wakened in the night and be disturbed by the noisy antics and rhythmic thumping. At first I thought possibly it was actual ship noises but eventually you heard the whole show to confirm what it was you were hearing.... 5] Ship Enrichment. Would like to see more activities and tours provided to other areas like bridge, kitchens, and "off-limit" areas that could be made accessible on sea days. 6] Check your onboard account!! Frequently!! I checked mine daily on the TV channels and found someone had used my room number to book dinner and drinks in one of the specialty restaurants. I was able to have it corrected but was told by Guest services that the person obviously did not have their Se Pass card swiped, strictly through word of mouth to let this happen. We also found once we got home that there are are additional charges on our account that we will need to call about to get cleared off. This is the first time it has occurred but companions travelling with us had it happen to them as well. It seems I am a little negative, but far from it. I really enjoyed this ship and the cruise port selections and if given the chance, will return to a few of these island in future. I like the Celebrity cruise offerings [Caribbean, Alaska and Mediterranean] but might take a recommendation from family and friends and try some other lines just to see if Celebrity really does have the system down as properly as they seem to have it now. We loved this cruise. Each port was unique and the schedule allowed adequate time to explore. Having 2 sea days allowed us to be ready for them. The Guest Relations staff (especially Raphael and Vedrana) were fantastic in helping learn how to recover my cell phone in the Rome airport at the beginning of our cruise. Someone that works at FCO found it and turned it into Lost and Found. My business card was in a holder on the back. They tracked me down through one of my Facebook friends. The Staff helped me verify that FCO Lost and Found really did have it and how to go about retrieving it. Wow! Romeo, our room attendant, always made sure our stateroom was in great order and spotless. Allan, our Sommelier, always suggested the proper wine for our food. We did the Classic Beverage package as one of our perks and it was well worth it. Our other perk we picked was the WiFi. A great value but sometimes it was slow. (Guess there were a lot of people on it at that time.) Cafe al Bacio is our favorite place to hang out. Love their coffees and teas plus tasty pastries. Yum!!! We did Concierge level. The bonus is the expanded Breakfast Room Service (use the card left in your room.) They bring snacks in the afternoon but since we are Elite and go to the Captain Club event each night, it is unnecessary. We love Celebrity (our 8th cruise with them) and plan on more.. Read Less

We chose this cruise firstly because it was where we wanted to travel to, then we found a ship that was going to those places. The ship was the right size and had the qualities to provide the conditions we wanted - not too small nor too big, good conditions onboard. The ship was kept very clean, was well maintained and of a size that there was always somewhere to find a private spot. It was a bit hard to find a deck chair by the pool unless you were out early - there was both an outdoor pool for everyone and an indoor solarium for adults only. I would say this ship catered best for adults - there was a children's program but not a lot of other outside activities for them to do.The staff were well trained and very pleasant - our room attendant couldn't do enough for us. They work around when you are out of your room - they seemed to know your routine and your room was made up for your return. We found the ships tours to be quite expensive but convenient and well programmed. The main disadvantage was large bus groups and endless waiting for people, and also that there weren't enough stops for photo opportunities. On board pricing was quite expensive - especially the drinks and dining packages. We drink very little in the way of alcohol but bought the premium non-alcohol package for both cruises. It worked out to be more convenient - especially when going ashore for your day tours it was easy to take a bottle of water or Vitamin water with you, and then to have a nice coffee when you came back in. The food overall was of very good quality. We found the Ocean view dining room very good. Our main observation was the food groupings - the chopped up fruit was right across the dining hall from the breakfast cereals, and soup spoons were often the only spoons available. Also teaspoons were not bought with your coffee for the sugar. Q'sine was fun with very good food - the best on the trip. Read Less

Fantastic cruise - best yet. The ship is lovely, well designed, well maintained and kept beautifully clean. The staff were excellent and can't do enough for you, and seemingly with a genuine smile. The food is too good (big weight gain!) . For speciality restaurants we purchased a three restaurant package and went to Tuscan Grille twice as it's our favorite, and Qsine which is a very novel experience along with excellent food. The menu is now quite limited at Qsine so I don't think you'd go there more than once but definitely worth a visit. It was very different to last year which was then lots of fun taster type courses. The buffet Oceanview had a really good range of food and sitting outside eating at the back of this ship is hard to beat. Main dining room (opus) excellent but we only went twice as the range offered at the buffet was so good. The ports of call were fabulous and the weather was perfect. Mykonos was probably our favorite as it's so accessible from the ship while being lovely. From Naples we went to Capri which was stunning - the ferry/hydrofoil takes about an hour but it's worth it. Santorini was beautiful but too busy with tourists and we were there on a day when there was just one other cruise ship . NB for us Brits who like to make a proper cup of tea - we were asked if we would like a kettle in our room. This was great and an improvement on room service hot drinks. Overall we absolutely loved it - a really perfect holiday. Can't wait to go again. Read Less

Celebrity is our cruise line of choice and second time on Reflection. Wonderful cruise and ship. Dining and service, as usual, was wonderful. We tried the new Qsine with Le Petite Chef - great entertainment and food. Celebrity continues to put itself above the rest. We will be doing our next cruises with them. Entertainment was good and we especially liked Jayne Curry and the final sea day acrobatic and singing/dancing show. The Captain was hilarious and informative at his session on navigation. Ports and itinerary were wonderful. We could not believe how quickly and well the embarkation and disembarkation went. The itinerary is very full and we found ourselves wishing for more than 2 sea days. We have room service on our balcony almost every morning and dined in dining room almost every evening. Food choices and meals were great. We did not use the pool much on this cruise because our time in port was so active that we were dead tired each port day. Read Less

This cruise was recommended by a close friend and delivered all that was promised. Most notable who made our stay amazing were: Dickson (stateroom), Fillipe (Blu), Miriam (Blu) Donovan (Sky Lounge), Guillermo (Sky Lounge) and Damien (Sky Lounge). We also thoroughly enjoyed DJ Banks and the music he provided. In addition to these, we made good use of the Canyon Ranch Spa and gym facilities, even attending a seminar and participating in a great zumba class. We must comment on the At Sea days which turned out be so chock full of activities that we didn't miss going ashore. The ports of call were all excellent and gave us ample opportunity to experience, in Celebrity Cruises words, "history, relevance and culture." The cuisine was first class where we ate at both Ocenview Cafe and the Blu specialty restaurant. The shows we saw were also wonderful and the highights were Jayne Curry's show and the aerial performances. Thank you Celebrity Cruises! Read Less

Just returned from a 10 night Italy and Greek Islands cruise on Reflection. This is a beautiful ship, filled with wonderful, attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble for our cabin steward, Romeo, and we were looked after in the main dining room by Taniesha, whose descriptions and recommendations never failed to please, her assistant Philip and the sommelier, Manuel. The standard of the food was excellent in the main dining room, both at breakfast and dinner. We ate in the Tuscan Grille one evening, and that was simply exquisite. We also tried the Ocean View Cafe at lunch time, and the food there was also to a good standard and plentiful. Embarkation and disembarkation were quick, easy and well organised and we encountered no problems in these areas. The ports we visited were wonderful, the only one we weren't keen on was Mykonos, it was very windy and there were a few other cruise ships in at the same time and would probably have been much quieter if this had not been the case. I would not hesitate to recommend this itinerary or Celebrity Cruises. Read Less

It was a surprise anniversary present to celebrate 50 years married. What a way to do it,the only way,and that's in STYLE. Totally spoiled like no other holiday. 1 the ship ,what can't you say about her and the crew. Professional, organised, polite, hygienic, happy and cheerful. Going that little bit extra just to please. 2 Security at its best. 3 Food ,well if anyone complains about 5 star meals they must be Ill. Breakfast great selection.lunch if you had room. Evening dinner in the Pegasus something else. Table 570 we hijacked it for the entire cruise. Head waiter Roberto and waitress Teresa looked after our party of 7 like family. Advising us on the menue selection, the destination for the following day, places of interests, wine for the evening. So relaxing to know your being looked after. The food and quality pluses presentation equals to at least a Michelin Star rating. 4 The cabin steward for 203 just brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. 5 The cruise itineraries can only be described as brilliant. However Malta could be sacrificed for another destination. 6 The on board facilities and entertainment were mind blowing. Something for all age groups. Finally, than you for just an amazing experience, something to remember and something to plan for the next one. Read Less

A Mediterranean Cruise has been a bucket list trip and this was everything we dreamed and more!!! The Refections is a beautiful ship!! My only slightly negative feed back would be the pool areas, there is just not enough space for everyone on sea days. The rooms have great storage the beds were extremely comfortable. The stops were all so different but amazing! Jeniza was our room attendant in Aqua class. She was wonderful. We had Ronald most nights in Blue the Aqua class restaurant he always went above and beyond but in truth everyone we had in Blue was wonderful. Oxana from the shore excursion desk was extremely knowledgeable on all the options of things to do on this trip and a future we trip we booked. All staff we encountered added to make this trip extra special and we can not wait for our next one. Even though the ship was sold out, it never seemed crowded. Read Less

We chose the cruise for our 20th wedding anniversary as we wanted to do something different and there were a number of places we wanted to see and this itinerary did that for us. Our children are grown up now so we travelled just the 2 of us. The cruise and shop were an absolute pleasure, all the staff, cabin and food were excellent, we didn’t have one bad experience. The cabin staff were great and made us feel very welcome and important. It was great to get details of the next port when you went back to your room at night so you could see what was in store the next day both from a port and entertainment perspective. The food was amazing, so much choice in the dining rooms but the Opus was so lovely, it made you feel special, the staff were brilliant, very attentive. The theatre was brilliant, we went most nights to the later show, after our meal. Each time we went the show was fantastic, especially the celebrity performers. The ports were lovely, clean and easy to navigate around. We went on a couple of celebrity excursions and they were great, went to exactly where we wanted to go and the balance between time on our own and with a guide was spot on. We stayed in Rome for 3 nights after the cruise as we felt it was important to see the place we embarked at and not just fly in and out! Thank you Celebrity Reflection for an amazing holiday which we will remember forever and we hope to book again soon! Read Less

Overall a really nice cruise with some great ports of call. The staff generally are really friendly, but I felt they lacked some training especially when serving drinks. There seemed a shortage of bar staff at times and quite often your choice of drink (premium package) was only available in a certain bar, which was not explained when taking the package. More than once, we ordered champagne only to be served prosecco? I just got the impression that some of the bar staff were a bit fed up which was reflected in their service to customers. The food was plentiful and very good. Great gym with good choice of equipment and classes. The bands providing music were really good, but the evening shows were a bit disappointing and perhaps more "star" acts would be better? The staff in the Blu restaurant were great and made our dining experience more enjoyable especially from Yulia. Read Less

We went on this cruise because of the itinerary and the bonus was the wonderful food in the main dining room. Every night we were treated to very good and different foods. My favorite, escargot was on the menu every night. The staff were exceptional, and every one smiled and said good morning, afternoon, evening etc anytime we passed by. Our dining room wait staff only wanted to please and our room steward kept our comfortable room in perfect condition. The ship is slightly dated and could use more of a sprucing up but it was none the less pleasant. The silent disco night was great fun and would recommend it to everyone. Our main complaint was the nightly entertainment. The celebrity orchestra was always overly loud and drowned out any singers , piano players etc. Many times we couldn't make out any of the words to songs because the orchestra was so so loud, which was very disappointing since that is one of the reasons we like cruises so much. The movies were shown on an outdoor screen with no shade, an indoor venue would have been much better during the heat of the day. We also paid the hefty fee to eat in the specialty restaurant, Tuscan Grill one night and were very disappointed with our meal. I had to send the steak back because it wasn't done properly and the side dishes were just okay, not great.. I'd stick with the main dining room. Read Less

Return booking and to go to different places Ship service is very good and can’t fault anything on board. Food and choice too, wish had also upgraded for fine dining as tour around kitchens gave a taste of the choice they have, however main dining room, with shared tables has great ambience. Back bar on level 10 has amazing service and definitely the place to sit and say goodbye to each port. Recommend always taking a drinks package. Well worth it along with gratuities paid in advance Enough time at all stops and time to enjoy at sea days with facilities. Mykanos was the stand out place, quaint and very Greek Santarini commercialised but beautiful views Dubrovnik clean and full of recent history and excellent local buses are very cheap and frequent from port side Local taxis in katakalon are very reasonable at 15euro pp to Olympus realisable and 20 mins Will definitely use constellation again and recommend to all Read Less

We went on this cruise which sailed on 28th May which was the first sailing in the year. An earlier cruise before ithe weather got too hot would have been much better - every day the temperature hovered around 27 - 29 degrees. The heat was scorching and combined with the dry shadeless places the ship docked, we found ourselves often staying back on the ship. It looks like the cruise business has not caught on to the reality of global warming - cruises need to be scheduled to sail earlier in the year before the heat gets too intense, and need to have later autumn sailings for people who are not keen to get roasted in the sun for 10 days! Despite passengers having to do lots of pre cruise homework checking-in online and fixing their printed luggage tags which had to be downloaded online, embarkation was a nightmare with piles of people standing in line to ..... do the `real 'check-in?? Obviously there were just not enough counters despite getting passengers to check in at different time slots. However, disembarkation was a breeze. There is no wifi unless passengers buy the ship's expensive wifi package. Hello ... this is 2018...not 1918 !!!!!! Apart from the expensive wifi package, passengers have to pay for drinking water. The water from the cabin tap is a cocktail of clorine and chemicals and is undrinkable. No complimentary bottle of drinking water in the cabin; this is no fine hotel room!! The Oceanview Cafe had the most options in tems of food and dining times, but the staff manning the Cafe need training in handling passengers with more courtesy. Often we felt the service we got at a food counter was similar to that of a fast food outlet. The level of professionalism at the San Marco Restaurant, which was supposed to be more formal, was below what we observed on other cruises.. Perhaps since the ship has done away with the more formal dining the staff feel relaxed enough to cluster together to chit chat when they should be attentive to diners. The ship is well-maintained and the itinerary was good. Koper was beautiful, unspoilt and not mobbed with tourists like Dubrovnik or Naples. Read Less

This is a great itinerary with stops at some of the most amazing cities in the Adriatic. The Constellation is getting on a bit now but the old girl is still in pretty good shape, I’m not sure the recent update has made much difference (new shops and restaurants) but this is still an excellent ship. As ever the service on board is outstanding, you cannot fault the commitment of the crew who all seem happy and focused on delivering great service. The quality of food in the MDR and the self service restaurant was also very good and even when I didn’t really fancy anything on the menu our waiter even got the kitchen to cook me something special. They worked very hard for their tips and deserved every penny. The last time we were on this ship the sommelier and bar staff were well below par but this time they were brilliant, I don’t know if Celebrity have found a way of rewarding them better for all the guests with free drinks packages but they were certainly much quicker to serve us and there seemed to be more of them. Our sommelier was called Monte Carlo (honestly) and he really looked after all his tables. The only bugbear was that they put the upgrade price up from $10 to $14 per day which I have to say a 40% increase is a bit strong but then they sent us a flyer in the cabin saying it was $10 but refused subsequently to honour it. I was a bit miffed to say the least along with many others I spoke to. The cabins are OK, we were in Concierge Class, the bathrooms have a shower curtain which is a bit naff but they’re certainly not anything to complain about. Again the service from the steward was excellent. On the downside the entertainment was poor in my opinion, in the martini bar the so called DJ played covers from a pre loaded laptop through poor speakers at volume that was too loud for the speakers so it distorted and just about everyone I spoke to thought it was inappropriate music for the audience and a bit annoying. We couldn’t hear ourselves speak some nights. The live groups who played around the ship were decidedly average and way below the usual quality we’ve experienced on Celebrity ships. I don’t like the timings either (personal bugbear) the shows are at 7.00 and 9.00 so if you are on the late dining you have to rush back to the ship and get changed to get out to see the show at 7, not relaxing at all and then after dinner there’s not much happening. On others ships dinner is at 6.30 & 8.30 and the shows at 8.30 & 10.30 so you can have dinner and then see a show. I can’t believe I’m alone in this preference as the early shows we went to were less than half full and there were no seats available at the late ones. All in all we really enjoyed the cruise, met some lovely people as always, and can’t wait to go again. Read Less

I enjoyed this cruise very much, which I took as a combination continuing education conference and vacation. For a ten-day cruise, it offered fantastic port opportunities, starting in Venice (we stayed in the Best Western Mestre on the mainland, across the street from the Mestre train station, for an easy commute into Venice). Embarkation and disembarkation were easy and uneventful: the transfers to the airport were overpriced compared to what we would have paid for a cab (which was readily available, it turns out). We stayed in balcony cabin 9036, which was comfortable but had a curtain in the shower (and a clothes line--very handy for in-room laundry!). We are travelers who prefer the variety and flexibility of the buffet, which met our needs perfectly (plenty of salmon lox, omelettes to order at the stern eggs station, and a nice grill station for lunch and supper too, etc.). Be alert to the small signs if you are gluten-sensitive or need to avoid sugar, as the larger signs do not apply to all items in the area, I learned. We enjoyed the overnight stay in Dubrovnik, and would recommend taking a cab to the Old Town for an 8 AM start to the city walls walk (fee applies) before the heat and the crowds. At the port of Zadar, we took Celebrity's Krka River National Park excursion, which was a wonderful experience (shorter travel time than Plitvice Lakes). We also enjoyed the "Beautiful Taormina" excursion from Catania, Sicily, and would recommend a ship's tour due to the limited port time (9 AM to 4 PM). We would likely recommend a tour from Naples, which we found to be interesting but a bit gritty (it is absolutely true about the chaotic drivers running red lights despite pedestrians crossing!) as we tried to explore it on our own and in a guided Napolitours walking tour (suggest buy a good map, or have data and GPS on your smartphone). The authentic Neapolitan pizza was worth it, though! Read Less

Itinerary...never been to Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. Cruise was very tiring if yiu wanted to see all the stops, with only 2 sea days out of the 10 day cruise. Also with our anytime dining at 6:45, we could not participate at the Captains get together for Elite members which was at 7:45 to 8:30. The regular Captains Club get together was fro 5 - 6...dont understand why the Elite get together was also held at 5 - 6. I recall the on other Celebrity cruises each Elite get together was held twice each night one for early dinng and one for late...cost cutting? On a positive side the cabin and dining and wine service were EXCELLENT. The waiter and wine steward could not do enough for you. With one exception we opted for non-ship private excursions since we had a group of seven...no bus and less cost. Worked out very well. The ships tour to Mt Etna had an excellent guide. Also in 2 stops if you dint have a tour it cost $12 to get into town and back...penny pinching !!! Read Less

We flew to Venice night before with Ryanair from East Midlands and was straight on avtco bus from treviso to piazzalle roma bus station. Our hotel olympia was 4 mins walk from bus station situated on lovely quiet canal. We arrived to peaceful and beautiful hotel and sat having drink by canal enjoying lovely venetian cocktails night before cruise. next morning after lovely breakfast with complimentary prosecco we walked back to bus station where peoplemover is situated. 1.50 euro to port took only 5 mins on people mover. great idea takes all stress out of journey. We arrived early about 11.45am and was on ship by 12.15 very quick efficient boarding. We found buffet was best on any of celebrity ships we have been on. It was varied delicious and generally hot. In fact we ate more in buffet than main restaurant as food was so good. we enjoyed San Marco. We preferred to choose large table as one problem was tables for 2 were ridiculously situated. you were closer to stranger than to your partner. This could be sorted out easily by changing angles of tables. wasn't too much of a problem but on night you wanted romantic meal for 2 you would have to eat elsewhere. food and service excellent. We had classic drinks package and was able to sample everything. really enjoyed the choices. The ship is older and initially we were a bit disappointed after sailing on reflection and eclipse. However the charm and friendliness of staff on ship overcame this. We would definitely travel on this ship again. the staff were simply amazing nothing too much trouble. Our cabin was 6031 balcony. very nice room slightly smaller than previous but balcony was huge double size sweet sixteen. During sea days we did not find problem with sunbeds seemed to be plenty. staff policed this very well and immediately removed towels after 30 mins if vacant. The shows were not good. They were very amateurish. We gave up going but as not too bothered as preferred casino or just listening to celebrity bands who were better than Star acts. The entertainment verged on butlins by pool. It was aimed at very young when age group is much older. maybe would suit summer holiday cruises. The cruise director was more interested in talking to her peers than chatting to paying customers. However this did not spoil our overall cruise experience but could for others. The itinerary was amazing. well recommended Venice walked around ourself. amazing. Zadar very pretty did ourselves. just walked around. kotor tendered in. lovely pretty little place. dubrovnik. stayed overnight. plenty to see and do. naples. took ferry next door to ship to capri 20 dollars 50 mins ride. climbed up instead of using funicular was hard work but views amazing. sicily. took celebrity excursion as time tight to taormina. wonderful views. This cruise fit well into our month's stay in Italy after taking a TA to Civitavecchia. The itinerary was good and the views were stunning coming into some of the harbors. Our only complaint is the large fees to get into some of the towns since we were docked so far away. After paying a pretty penny for the cruise, having to shell out to get into town is annoying. The leadership and availability of the officers was outstanding! This being a smaller ship, my husband and I felt we truly got to know some of the officers and that was a treat. The crew was exceptional and every single person went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, well-fed (!) and had all we needed. This was the best cruise we have every taken. We felt very spoiled! We have never been too taken with entertainment on ships but several were excellent: Jane from England and the Barricade Boys. It isn't the talent of the ship's performers that is lacking but rather the material. Read Less
