Cruising almost just like it was pre-covid

Review for Celebrity Silhouette to Baltic Sea

We chose this 7-night cruise because we had always wanted to see the Norwegian Fjords. Embarkation at Southampton was fairly quick - after our vaccination certificates and health questionnaire had been closely checked. Passengers were not obliged to wear masks, except in the theatre, and only a few did, but every crew member was permanently masked, and sanitisation dispensers were all over the ...

Cruise itself was good but the pre and post cruise were (and still are) a disaster

Review for Celebrity Summit to Bermuda

First the bad: to go to Bermuda we needed a travel authorization. Bermuda had the wrong date for our cruise and I had to call into Celebrity and get it corrected. Next, Bermuda was supposed to be our third port but apparently no one at Celebrity read that if Bermuda isn't your first port, you need to be re-tested for COVID. So I personally had to inform them and they changed the order of the ports ...

For our first cruise post-Covid, my wife Marie and I chose to try out Celebrity on a reasonably simple itinerary to Bermuda and Charleston, SC. It was also our first attempt at a cruise after Marie had back surgery, which unfortunately has left her with some significant mobility issues; she now needs to use a 3-wheel scooter to get around on ship or on shore -- being able to walk only a few ...

Review for Celebrity Equinox to Caribbean - Southern

We want to keep this short: Staff is still an 8 out of 10. Thank you, Celebrity Cruises. We have now decided to not book Celebrity again due to one big problem and a few small. The big problem is the food. Main Dining Room was so bad on 6 out of 12 nights. The other nights were - let's say okay. Nothing compares to years ago. It's just sad and bad. Further problems included ...

We chose this cruise based on the ship and the length of time for the trip which was 12 nights. There were many good things about this adventure such as the solarium and the service…the staff really works hard to keep everyone happy. We ate at 2 specialty restaurants called Tuscan and Murano and the food and service was excellent…there were 4 in our group and we all felt the meal at Murano was the ...

Chose Celebrity because I had always heard how wonderful they were and we were looking for a quick getaway. The moment we entered our cabin we noticed a horrible odor coming from the bathroom. We assumed it would subside, but it did not. It literally made us sick to our stomachs. We thought about changing to another stateroom, but I smelled the same odor in one of the public restrooms as well and ...

This seemed a nice short cruise to reassess cruising after covid we booked this when things to look a little better in October 21. We watched reports on cruise critic about customers experiences while coming over tha Atantic. Report about COVID were worrying and we were very tempted to cancel and change to another date but due to our other holiday and travel plans were unable to find a ...

I chose Celebrity as I had heard so many good things about it so I was really looking forward to it after having had many fabulous cruises in the past with different lines. I was shocked on arrival to find a long wait to embark. It was about an hour and a half shuffling along slowly with the most enormous line of people. A member of staff I heard gleefully telling everyone they "didn't need ...

Not Relaxing …. Too Much Non Stop Loud Music

We have cruised happily and quietly on RC Independence, at least 12 times, we liked the layout and the shopping mall, where one could sit and relax. But we thought time for a change. We knew there had been Covid on the transatlantic Silhouette trip, coming over to Southampton. Outside the terminal, we were told to get to the back of the queue (around 20 people), we had always walked straight to ...

Quite a good cruise on a lovely ship but with a few sour notes

We chose this cruise as it was a nice introductory length after lockdown and because we have sailed with Celebrity several times before, we would not be too far from home and the itinerary was good. However in our opinion some things had deteriorated on Celebrity, namely the quality of food in the Grand Cuvee restaurant which was not consistent, and also the speciality restaurant Tuscan Grille ...
