We chose this cruise as it went to the locations we wanted at the times we could travel. It was our first cruise and we really enjoyed it. We felt very pampered and enjoyed travelling from location to location without having to unpack and repack. We had an ocean view room and it was more than enough for the two of us. The evening dining was excellent and so were the fine dining establishments - although the Tuscon Grill overcooked my steak. The buffet food was decent but the service was not great - we frequently finished our meal with no one coming to take our drink order until we were almost done or not at all. We didn't really go to the evening shows, except for one which we enjoyed. The ports and shore excursions were the highlights for us. We did some independent excursions and one with Celebrity, and other places we just wandered on our own. The only destination I was disappointed with was Zadar, Croatia. Not much to see or do there... perhaps we should have booked an island tour excursion. The rest of the destinations were amazing and we really enjoyed them. We will definitely cruise again. Read Less

I chose this cruise for the price, date availability and itinerary. It was a long time since I cruised and was very excited I had the opportunity to take a Mediterranean cruise with my family. I was pleased with the overall cleanliness and ports visited. The food was good. The cabin room and crew was very good. Security was also very good. Every port going and coming back there was a full passenger screening. I loved the ice cold towels and cold drinks before entering the ship at each port. It was very hot and humid in Europe and alot of exploring left us overheated at times. The drink pkges, tours, and some other extras that use to be free wasn't free anymore. The main dining room meals and service was good. No more flamed Baked Alaska that would have been nice for my son to see. Still had lobster on the menu one night. I saw few smiling faces in the buffet and bar staff. They were constantly watch by their superior for cleanliness that they had no time to smile at the guests. Overall I would recommend this ship for the value and ports of call. Read Less

Embarkation was easy - walk on with no lines We were in Aqua class, room 1110. Room steward, Sandy, was efficient without hovering. Room was always made up when should have been. Fresh fruit and beverage left in the room for us. Pretty "sitting area" outside room with loveseat and two comfortable chairs for use by guests in area-I never saw anyone using the area. The maitre d' in the Aqua dining room, David, and his staff are wonderful. By the second meal in the area you feel like you are being greeted by old friends. If you wanted something that wasn't on the menu but available at another restaurant they would get it for you. (I went in the first morning with a packet for a breakfast shake. They made it for me and had the soy milk on hand for every morning we had breakfast there.) Rich the social director was just one of the other staff/crew that made the cruise so much fun. The entertainment was great, with the exception of one of the comics, who we almost walked out on. (Very unfunny song about stuttering.) Production shows were outstanding-singers and dancers put on quite a show. Don't miss the adult show at 11 pm-best show of the cruise. The aerialists are not to be missed. We looked forward to Rich's evening words of wisdom, as the final curtain came down, and his unlimited, or so it seems, collection of socks. The crew vs. guest water volleyball was a riot. Although I believe there was some creative score keeping going on it was fun to watch-again with Rich stealing the show with his bathing suit. The lunchtime ice cream man was a riot. Asking adults if they had eaten their lunch before he would dispense their ice cream. The ship was easy to get around, not being too large. Plenty to do aboard, if you wanted to do something. Plenty of areas to relax if you wanted to do nothing. Celebrity is definitely our favorite cruise line. While onboard we booked our next cruise - even before this one sailed. Read Less

As a longtime NCL and Silversea/Seaborne cruiser, I was anxious to check out the Celebrity Constellation mostly for the wonderful itinerary. With an overnight in Venice on the front end and ports of call including Dubrovnik, Rome, Livorno, Toulon and Barcelona how could you go wrong? The short answer is, you CAN (at least a little bit). Embarkation was a breeze, mostly because we arrived at the end--we experienced no lines at all, though I heard that just an hour before it was bedlam. Our two cabins (one suite for three ladies, one deluxe cabin for two) were perfectly adequate--the suite especially was spacious and well appointed. However, the rooms were TIRED. One of the beds in the smaller cabin was torn on the bottom, a sink in the suite was cracked, the phone was hanging off the wall, sofa saggy etc. Public areas were fine. The Crush Martini Bar in particular was fun. We were, however, strong armed almost immediately to purchase the "drinks package" which was a bit off-putting. That, coupled with the "captain's club" coupons gave me the feeling I was being nickel and dimed. On the plus side, the food on the Constellation (with the possible exception of the Tuscan Grille) was STELLAR! The suites restaurant, Lumine, captained by the wonderful Anthony was terrific. The highlight however is Ocean Liners. Wow. The food and service were not just cruise-ship good, they were world-class good! Pedro, in particular, was a ten in every way and the support staff, specifically Rocko was also top shelf. Nightlife is lacking to say the least. The one "Motown Night" in the nightclub was great--why were there not more evenings like that? There was a terrific DJ party held in the Grand Foyer--Why? The music was great, but you could not dance--only stand around. Strange... Bottom line: a newer, better maintained ship is important to me. This was a ladies trip so nightlife is also important. I think next time I'll head back to NCL. Read Less

This was or first ever cruise, so we took friends' advice and went for the higher end of the market. We were not disappointed!! (Gross understatement!!). It was fabulous from start to finish. I can't understand what possible cause for complaint anyone could have with this cruise or ship. From the moment we boarded to the time we disembarked we were treated to what can only be described as service more akin to a floating 5-star hotel. We were on deck 8 and had the most attentive and willing deck attendants- nothing was too much trouble for them, The cleanliness of the state-room is the standard by which future cruises (yes - there will be more with Celeb Cruises!!) will be judged. We had clean towels twice a day and the shower curtain was changed each day. There was champagne waiting for us and canapes delivered each afternoon. Every member of staff had a smile and a genuine greeting for everyone they passed by - it was amazing how they made everyone feel welcome. The food was outstanding. The Ocean View had an amazing selection to choose from - breakfast, lunch and dinner. San Marco was excellent with the waiters and someliers giving perfect service. What can you say about the Tuscan grill - except absolute perfection in terms of service, ambiance and quality. WOW!! Even though we tried not to, we put on several pounds - the food is amazing. Disembarkation for shore excursions went swiftly and efficiently - they dealt with huge numbers of people in a calm and professional manner. It is a mark of pure class when you get back to the ship and waiting for you are ice-cold towels and cool drinks underneath gazebos. The officers were sometimes there to either see us of or welcome us back, even though I'm sure they had other things to do. The entertainment was totally professional in a wonderful theatre. On the decks throughout were musicians of the highest quality, The only disappointment we had was on the Dubrovnik shore excursion - there were so many other tourists that it was like a cattle yard within the old town: I would warn others that this might not be a good option. The trip to Aix en Provence could have done with being a little longer - the guide was pushed for time, and there would have been plenty of time for an extra hour as the guests who went to Florence were back a couple of hours later later. What a lovely town. Read Less

The service was top Class from the Cleaning of the room to the Dining at dinner. Food was excellent and the whole cruise brilliant. Hygiene was given top priority which was great with Children. All of the crew are great hosts, very kind and helpful, but the biggest thank you will be to the captain who renewed our vows, this was a very special occasion. To the waiters in the restaurant, we had the same ones every night and we were very fortunate as they were very helpful and kind to the children. If we are ever fortunate enough to go on another cruise Celebrity Constellation will be top of the list even though this was our first cruise. Celebrity Constellation is a wonderful ship for a cruise even more so with Children. Highly recommended, thank you again to all those who made our cruise so amazing we will never forget the best 10 days we have ever had. Read Less

We had been on 2 solstice ships and loved it ! We booked constilation as we liked the itinery , we stayed in a hotel in Barcelona before the cruise so we could do more at that port we had a great time . Embarkation was very easy but straight away the whole atmosphere was not the same there was sparkling wine but last time people handing them out and welcoming us this time the two people serving were talking and not at all interested in us a small detail but it made a difference . The smaller ship seemed crowded lots of family's I love kids but on my holidays I don't want to be around crying screaming children I thought the schools would not have closed for summer but I was wrong ( I am sure royal carabean has loads more for children I sure wouldn't have took mine to rome and Florence ect in 90 degree heat still it's everyone's choice . Our cabin was nice but silly things let it down ripped valance holes in towels dirty glass on balcony and a horrible shower curtain !! And this was concerige class , nothing was as good as the reflection or eclipse it was 3/4 star and solstice 5 I wouldn't mind but not any cheaper . The whole ship seemed dirty windows not being cleaned sunset bar at times was mankey didn't wipe tables properly I was thinking it was a breeding ground for germs ! I used my own sanitising wipes after all you don't want to get ill on your holiday . Also on solstice ships there were toilet attendants handing out towels keeping toilets clean ect I didn't see one this time I can only assume they are cutting down on staff We found the food very good in main dinning room but tried to avoid the ocean view cafe as it was chaotic . Service was excellent as always in bars and dinning room Staff friendly and helpful all over ship Our room attendant was good but certainly didn't notice anything better in concerige class than balcony room in fact it was worse . Entertainment that we went to was fun bars were fun with a good vibe Loved the ports and the ship tour to Tuscany was fantastic we had a super day would highly recommend it . It's a shame celebrity have changed the formal night that's something we found fun dressing up as were else can you dress for dinner like that on holiday it's starting to cheapen the whole experience as we saw some men in shorts and t shirt in dinning room I can go to any resort holiday to be casual ! We don't want to change from celebrity we love the modern luxury but think will stick to solstice class ! Unless it gets worse across the fleet then will have to think again ! Read Less

First to be understood, we picked the itinerary, rather than the ship. The Constellation is an older ship, showing its age. Sometimes the linens had holes in them, and the benches in the Ocean View restaurant had cracks and tears in the vinyl in places. The decor was a bit dated. The singing and dance ensembles did a very good job. The other entertainers were just so-so. Other than pool, spa, dancing and gambling, there were not a lot of activities. The single, small coffee bistro was, at times, overwhelmed. If you don't spend extra for drink packages, internet packages, etc., you get nickel and dimed a lot. Having said that, I must add that the staff was great, especially in the dining room. The food was quite good. The captain was much more accessible and sympatico than many are. We didn't take any of the ship excursions, but felt there was adequate time in each port to do our own. Read Less

We have cruised with Celebrity for over 15 years. We chose the Iberian Peninsula cruise as we had not been to the Ports on this cruise earlier. The Check-in took ages in spite being Elite Members. They had the bookings messed up - we had two cabins allotted to us. They took time to resolve the issue. Disembarkation was a breeze. Constellation is an old ship. With the refit and adding extra cabins it is a mess at Common areas of Swimming Pool/Jacuzzis, Oceanview Cafe & the Gym. The Cabin was normal Balcony Cabin.\ The Dinning Restaurant - Dinner was crowded with tables close to each other. Not so earlier. Food in the Dinning Hall was good. In the Oceanview Cafe it was a challenge to find a place to sit and then to get food. The Crockery & Cutlery cleanliness was pathetic. They kept WET plates, unwashed plates & mugs. Plates with black marks. They had an excuse for everything, but set things right. Very disappointing from this point of view. The some Shows were good rest average. Celebrity Life did a good job of their activities We wanted to book two tickets for the "Under Siege" shore excursion at Gibraltar. Only one was confirmed, second waitlisted. Next day the status did not change. On asking to cancel the confirmed one. They immediately confirmed the second one. We had some friends who we met on board and advised of this excursion. They went to book the same. Got their reservation without a hassle. Never understood this game. The Guides at Shore excursions had no regards to people with difficulties, continued on at their own pace. Most Ports we visited were fantastic. Since we were at Bilbao - overnight, on arrival we picked up a rental car (AVIS) at the Port area and drove (4Hours one way) to Lourdes in France. It was the High Point of the Vacation. We cruise every year - have done 15 cruises with Celebrity. This one was amongst the last favourable. Read Less

This was our first cruise and our honeymoon. We chose Celebrity Cruises based on the ports of call it called at and the wonderful reviews online. The overall cruise was excellent and it exceeded our expectations :-) All crew on board are really friendly, acknowledge you at all times and make you feel welcome. If there are any problems, they ensure that it is resolved immediately and as soon as possible. The entertainment was lovely and I feel accommodated all tatses on board. The food and service outstanding although we dined at one of the speciality restaurants on board called Ocean Liners and were very disappointed in the service as it was extremely slow given that the time we dined there were hardly any guests dining. The food was really good though. We loved dining at San Marco Restaurant every night as the food was outstanding and waiting staff professional and made sure your needs were met and more. We would certainly, if given the chance again cruise with Celebrity again and strongly recommend it to others as well.It was by far the most luxurious and best holiday we have ever had :-) Read Less

We have cruised with Celebrity before on the Eclipse and the Silhouette and so had no hesitation in booking again this time on the Constellation. What a mistake! The staff to guest ratio is so low that the service was very poor. We had long waits at the bars and when a member of staff did arrive their attitude was very often surly and sometimes downright rude. The food was very bland and repetitive and the glasses, crockery and cutlery needed checking for cleanliness. The theatre shows and entertainment were distinctly amateur and not what we have come to expect from Celebrity. However, the worst thing was the shore excursions - overpriced and not at all what was described. All in all not a good experience and one we will never repeat. If you like the holiday camp feel at 5* prices this is the ship for you. Poor, poor, poor! Read Less

We have sailed with Celebrity twice previously to this trip. We were celebrating our Silver wedding anniversary, so we paid for our two grown children to celebrate with us. Not cheap, but something we wanted to do. Our daughter is 20 and on 2 occasions was treated like a minor by the staff. She was refused to be served at the bar even though I was with her and she had a drinks package on her sea pass. This was during our second week on board too!! The bar man didn't understand what 'M2' code meant on here pass (means you are over 18, but under 21). This is for American waters, not European. She was treated terribly by the staff. The second occasion , she was refused off the ship cos we were split up in the queue. Her age was queried again because of the M2 code. I had to go back on board & clear up the situation. Both stateroom so add many many charges incorrectly administered which we had to keep cleading off, including the morning we were disembarking. Over all, it was a really bad experience for the kids, especially our daughter for their first cruise. Celebrity, you really need to sort your staff training out. I have tried to contact Celebrity to discuss this, but they are always busy on the phone and never return my call after me leaving a messag. After sales service is non existing. Read Less

Overall rating: Eight out of Ten! Booking: We booked this cruise directly through Celebrity UK on 6th Sept 2015 by paying a €330 deposit. The stateroom we booked was A1-1124 Aqua Class. The attraction of this early booking deal as advertised was second person at 50% discount (First passenger cost €3,505.33 and the Second passenger cost €1,826.33). This included Classic Drinks and Gratuities. The balance of €5,001.66 was due and paid on 16th April 2016 bringing the total to €5,331.66. Compare this with the price our friends paid to accompanies us (in Concierge) which was $3,200 for Concierge only weeks before sailing, see “Cost” section later. Embarkation: As expected the embarkation process was straightforward, short queue and immediate access to the ship where we joined our friends (who travelled Concierge Class – See later) for a special Concierge lunch. We received no notification about any similar Aqua Class lunch? Staterooms: The Staterooms in Concierge and Agua Class are similar in size and layout, our friends were in Concierge on deck 8 (Room 8132) and we were Agua Class on Deck 11 (Room 1125). The two attendants in Aqua were very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom shower was just OK but not great, it lacked power. The binoculars were not working but these were replaced. Overall no real issues with our stateroom. Food and Restaurants: A major complaint is the unreasonable opening hours of the restaurants, which Celebrity doesn’t advertise clearly on their website. Blu only opens for breakfast from 6:30 to 8:30am, which is outrageous for people on holidays. Many people on the ship were commenting negatively about this. A business hotel in any city would be open for breakfast until 10am every day. Overall, the food was very good. The Maître d’ in Blu was a very friendly, efficient and pleasant person from Vancouver Canada and the main reception girl (from Ukraine) was welcoming, professional, accommodating and pleasant (this was her last cruise after 5 years). Service: The service in the Blu restaurant (available only to Aqua Class) was just OK. At times it felt that there were not enough people to serve the guests, and the waiters were running around trying to give everybody the service level they paid for. There were many occasions where we had to wait for the wine waiter who appeared quite stressed, this included at the start of the meal where we waited for glasses and the selection of our first drink. The service at Guest Services Deck 3 was often very slow with long queues. My friend had to wait 30 minutes just to get change of a €50 note to give some tips. The ATM’s on-board are a rip-off charging either $6.50 or €6.50 per transaction. No ATM’s in countries I’ve ever visited charge additional fees on top of normal bank fees. Overall: Overall the cruise ship was good, but you could feel that it was older, but well maintained. Simply put it was like a well-established place with a lived-in look. Personally, I would prefer a newer ship, and possibly one of the larger ships – this was not a big deal. This is our third Celebrity Cruise, the first one was on Celebrity Solstice in 2012 from Barcelona and it really spoilt us! We were in Concierge class and nothing but excellent service, lovely food and fantastic ship. Our second cruise in 2014 was in the Caribbean on the Celebrity Eclipse (Aqua Class) which was also lovely although I would prefer Europe as a destination. I feel the overall level of service has declined with Celebrity since the first cruise. If our first cruise (Celebrity Solstice) was 5-star, this was 4.75-Star! Celebrity are cutting down costs and this shows in a lot of places – they will lose custom, other cruise lines are catching up! Cost: My biggest complaint is that we paid much too much for this trip. Our friends booked the exact same cruise in May 2016 (i.e. only weeks before sailing) and got Concierge class for $3,200 including $150 on-board credit, including Gratuities and Classic Drinks package. With exchange rates that is almost half the cost we paid (€5,330.66). We were punished for early booking. I did ask Celebrity to look at our cost and offer some compensation before we paid the balance. We realised at that stage the ship was full in Aqua (which is small on the Constellation – about 150 people) and Concierge class and we could therefore not rebook. All our requests for any level of “feel good” compensation (e.g. on-board credit) were totally and utterly dismissed! I did not press my case before the trip in case the cancelled my booking! Another cost related issue I have is that in three ports (advertised as being cities) the ship actually docks several miles outside the city. I realise this is a practical requirement, however Celebrity are bordering on “sharp practice” to charge for a bus to bring Celebrity passengers to Celebrity advertised locations. This charge was between $12 and $15 per person, per city. Some examples from this trip are Ravenna ($15 pp) and Dubrovnik ($12 pp). What lesson has been learnt? Do not book directly through Celebrity! Do not book early! Note the extra Celebrity charges for transport into their stated destination e.g. Ravenna and Dubrovnik! Keep an eye on falling standards on Celebrity vs. other Cruise lines! Read Less

I chose this Meditteranean cruise as it visited a lot of Greek Islands, and boy was it so good, so beautiful. Both my husband and I said we would even do that same cruise again. You just have to pick different Shore excursions to see different things. I couldn't fault Celebrity, the service across the board was excellent as was the food. The ship is beautiful. I really like its neutral colour schemes. I can't stand some of the bright, gory colours of some other ships. The cabin is good, spacious enough with room to store your suitcases under the bed and with enough storage for my husband and I. We were on Level 7 (Sunset) and we were happy with that choice. I did book some shore excursions through Celebrity and I'm glad we did. There was one occasion when the excursion was half an hour late returning to the ship and because it was booked through Celebrity they wait for you to return. My only gripe was one shore excursion the group was too big, they should have split the group into two. Even if you have headphones if the group is really large and you get caught at the back of the group there can be times when you cannot hear the tour guide as the communication cuts out or gets interference if the tour guide is too far in front. We enjoyed most of the evening shows, they have quite a wide variety of choices which is great to cover people varying tastes in entertainment. Every night had a different show. Overall a fabulous cruise and I've booked another Celebrity Cruise again. Read Less

The Celebrity Constellation is a wonderful ship. We had a cabin in Aqua Class and it was lovely. We were able to dine at Blu restaurant for breakfast and dinner and it was excellent! Great service and mostly great food. The Persian Garden was nothing special on Constellation. We thought the entertainment most nights was great. There was a good variety of entertainers and we always enjoyed the shows. The cruise was very port intensive so we were constantly running off the ship every day to a different port. It was 10 ports in 12 days. We wished we could have had a few less ports so that we could have spent more time on the ship. We took 5 private tours and felt that they were much better than the ship tours. Also the price was not that much more and it was worth every penny having our own driver/guide and just my husband and I in the car. We thought the main dining room was good, not great food, but very good and we enjoyed the select dining where we sat with different people from all over the world. All in all it was a wonderful vacation. I may not do another cruise that has so many ports and it was exhausting. Read Less

Problem with this cruise is that it is no way to tour Europe. We chose this cruise for the number of ports. We got shortchanged, especially in Salerno and in Sicily where the excursions ran us through like a herd of cattle. One hour in Pompeii? Give us a break. They should have docked there for 2 days and in Sicily as well. Also sad is that you will never see the nightlife in these towns since the ship has to move on. The Celebrity staff was very nice and accommodating partially because we were on the concierge level and you do get treated a bit better there with your own concierge. The cruise director was excellent but the entertainment was very mediocre. Celebrity also nickel and dimes you for everything. Glad we had some inclusive packages. The thing you really should decide when you tour Europe is whether you want to actually see and experience the culture and people or whether you would rather play Bingo, see mediocre shows and eat ship cuisine instead of local specialties. Hello, I am just a simple guy, trying to explore the World. I have been on multiple Cruise Lines anwowd i must say, Celebrity blew them out of the water. The food was 5 star, the Staff was overly kind and attentive, and the value for the Vacation dollar was unbelievable! This was our third Celebrity Cruise, and the Best one Ever! The value of the One, two, three package took the big spike out of the end of the Cruise. Of coures we over tipped the Great People that were especially important like the Wait Staff, Wine Lady, and the Room Staff. I think this Cruise had the Best Entertainment I have ever seen on a consistent basis. Great Ports of Call, Venice, Rome, Florence( excursion), 3 stops in Croatia, Montenegro, Sicily, Malta/ Wow! We enjoyed our cruise, and we liked the ship a lot. It was a good size for us and everything seemed to be well maintained. The public rooms were fine and theater is very pretty. The staff was very friendly. The transfer from the airport to the pier was fine, embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly, and the luggage was delivered very fast. The entertainment was pretty good (especially the shows in the theater), and the cabin was nice. The only real problems were with anytime dining and the cabin steward. Although we had signed up for anytime dining, we ended up eating most of our meals in the buffet. Unless you made reservations as soon as you got on the ship, you could only get a table in the dining room for 5:45 or after 8:00 unless you were willing to wait a long time. The staff in the dining room were telling passengers that the ship allows too many people to sign up for anytime dining. We don't really mind the buffet but the offerings got monotonous and often the food wasn't very hot. The cabin stewards were very nice but just weren't on the ball. We would go off on a morning excursion and come back at lunch time to find the room not cleaned yet. Once we came back and the door was not even closed. Another day we came back at 4:00 to find the trash in the hall and a pile of dirty towels on the floor in the bathroom. I think they got distracted and just never came back. One thing that impressed me (all ships should do this) was printing the port emergency contact information on the newspaper every day. I liked the production shows and the CD, but the house bands were just OK. All in all, we enjoyed the trip and would go on this ship again. Read Less

Once on the ship we had a fabulous time but embarkation and disembarkarion were sub standard. They are undertaking building work in Venice which means 440 yards/400 meter walk with luggage - but Celebrity, instead of having porters carry your luggage, have smartly dressed young representatives tell you where to go so you carry your luggage. At the coach you load your luggage on to the coaxh but then find at the Cruise Terminal you have to lug your luggage from the coach into the terminal building and put it on a conveyor belt - representatives point where to go but don't lift a finger to help. You have to make a fuss to get a trolley. Disembarkation was chaotic. Everyone milling around in the rain waiting 15/20 minutes for a coach with not enough luggage space for passengers. Then waiting 20 minutesfor the next. No-one helped the more elderly or disabled. Again dumped 440 yards/400 metersto stqgger to the terminal building. I managed to get one case into the luggage compartmentbut had to carry a 23 Kg case into the body of the coach. My wife had waited in the rain for the coach qnd had got us a trolley but Celebrity staff still just stood around smiling and pointing but not actually doing anything. We will never travel with Celebrity from Venice. We have passed through Venice with Princess which was fine. Read Less

We enjoy cruising and have sailed with quite a few lines but we do prefer Celebrity. We are Captains Club Select members so we have tried several ships, this cruise was from Venice to Naples and back. Firstly we didn't expect hailstorms, thunderstorms and cold weather! Still, the sea was calm. Thank heavens we were on a cruise ship so we had shows, music, entertainment and eating to keep us busy. We booked through Celebrity and they arranged the flights.we had to change at Brussels and we won't do this again. Waiting almost 4 hours between two 90 minute is not a lot of fun. The ship is clean and tidy This time we tried Aqua class and we really enjoyed it. We should have had priority boarding but the embarkation staff didn't seem to realize this and tried to direct us to a huge line until I pointed this out. The Aqua line was empty. This also happened to several other people we spoke to. No problem on the ship except for the hard sell which went with the free glass of champagne - drinks, dining, spa photos. Pretty hectic! So cabin (stateroom?) 9083. Very clean and tidy. Lovely multi jet shower which was very refreshing. Balcony has a huge overhang from the deck above so you don't get any sun, but we knew this and it kept the rain off. I asked for and got a couple of blankets so we could wrap up and sit outside. I also asked for the fridge to be emptied so we could put our stuff in so no problem. Our cabin steward was Noel. He was excellent and friendly. If you're going on deck 9 have a look at the deck plans as some rooms can be noisy under some sections due to furniture being arranged very early in the mornings.Ours was OK Aqua class means you can dine in Blu restaurant. Absolutely fabulous! We didn't eat anywhere else for evening meals. David (Maitre'D) had a chat with everyone every night and the rest of the staff were just as good. No reservations and good food. When we saw the chaos and arguments outside the anytime dining section of the main restaurant we were so glad we had this option. We ourselves had trouble with this on our last cruise. You pay your gratuities upfront to get anytime dining only to be told there is nothing available between 6.30 and 8.15! Celebrity needs to get a grip on this. I would go for fixed dining and not prepay the gratuities so you won't be sitting around for 45 mins with a pager waiting. I think that building the Blu restaurant has taken space out of the anytime section which causes this. Entertainment - shows were good (except for the magician) but the variety and quality of the music has really slipped. No acappello, no string quartet, just a duo with a guitar and a disc jockey with a deck. Done to save money I suppose, but we don't like this trend. The variety of music around the ship is what attracted us to Celebrity in the first place. We don't like the Liars Club, Mr and Mrs type shows so we gave them a miss. Enrichment activities seem to have slipped a bit too. Quite a bit of general and music trivia which was good fun, line dancing and lessons with the show cast, three talks about the Mediterranean region history, scrapbooking on the sea days.Staffing for these areas seem to have been reduced too. Staffing - Cruise Director Maarten was excellent, always about and friendly. He didn't go over the top like some do! The star in this area was Sam - she was always friendly and tireless with a real bubbly personality. She needs promoting! The whole crew were friendly and always give you a smile and greeting when you passed them. Never saw the captain. He did give one talk but we didn't go because we were doing something else. This was a great cruise. The embarkation and disembarkation was very well organised and speedy. The ship was clean and smart and although showing its age in small ways, nothing distracted from our enjoyment. Our cabin (6042 grade 2c) was a good size with plenty of cupboard space. The balcony was nice with 2 outside chairs and a small table. The TV was a reasonable size with a good choice of programmes. The bed was large and comfortable. There is no tea or coffee making facilities but a free room service is provided. Well pleased with the cabin. The dining was exceptional. The quality of the food and the service was the best I have had (on my 7th cruise). The choice, appearance and presentation was delightful. The theatre entertainment was very good but not great. The daytime activities were many and varied. The coffee bar was top notch with all cakes and pastries free with a drink and the bar service was outstanding everywhere. The casino was large and well used in the evenings. We visited many great destinations with only 2 sea days on a 12 day cruise and we saw some amazing places. Now I have to come to some downsides of this cruise. We had a classic drinks package included in the price and I sure am glad. The drink prices on board are steep and they add 18% gratuity to every one. Likewise the internet and the excursions seemed expensive to me. The saving grace is that you don't have to have the internet or use their excursions. We just left the ship and found either a HoHo bus or a taxi and saw everything we wanted at a fraction of the price. The classic drinks package costs $55 a day on board and although not cheap, if you are a drinker, it's worth it. In conclusion this was a great cruise made better by the other passengers from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US (plus a few others) who really added to our enjoyment. I thank them all. Celebrity Constellation Cruise – Turkey, Greece, Croatia – 12 days This cruise was awful. The room was not up-to-date very old décor, most likely just repainted. No entertainment for cruise days, food was the same breakfast, lunch and dinner, tasteless. There was a 24-hour coffee but only one station opened and sometimes the coffee was cold or not made or no milk, cream and cups. Also the smoking area was very limited. There was no help when someone lost their luggage, always maybe the next day it will arrive. We had no luggage for the duration of the cruise and was offered 2 t-shirts and one toothbrush for 2 people. Every time you bent over you get charged for something. Nothing is free. This was our first and last on Celebrity. Read Less

We have been on the Constellation before and she is a nice ship. Very clean and well kept. Our cabin in Concierge was excellent as was our balcony. Transportation from Venice Airport: airports-shuttle-express.com. 50 euros for 4 people Celebrity was not really giving maps at the ports unless you went to the Guest Relations desk and asked. Koper, Slovenia Booked with Travel Slovenia which is Roundabout. 295 euros for half day to Ljubljana. 6 people. Guide was Martin. Very good guide. Did a walking tour and saw Cobblers Bridge, Dragon Bridge, the Market, St. Nicholas Cathedral which doors were created for Pope John Paul II’s visit in 1996; lots of cafes on riverside walkway. Ate a cream cake. Very very hot. Ravenna, Italy Took taxi from dock. Radio taxi Ravenna. 20 Euros. Too far to walk to town which was about 7 miles. Town is easy to navigate. We visited the mosaics and bought the combination ticket. Try to buy the ticket where the taxi drops you off. Much easier and no line up. We purchased combo ticket further into the city and was a big line. Also visited Dante’s tomb. Very very hot. Split, Croatia Did not tender as they thought. We walked to town which was about a 10-15 min. walk and we were able to use Euros to buy combo ticket to see Jupiter’s Temple, Cathedral & Crypt. Buy tickets at Cathedral and paid 3.5 euros pp. Town is difficult to navigate. Took us quite awhile to find Jupiter’s Temple, etc. Other people never found it. Map is difficult because of the way city is laid out. We did not want to climb the bell tower. Diocletian’s Palace is as they say with many shops now lining it. If you can find the Luxor Café, that is where the Cathedral, Jupiter’s Temple, etc. are. The café is nice and we had a beer there and it was air conditioned. And right across from the ruins. We also saw the portrayal of the emperor, etc. from that location. There is the Riva which is a waterfront pedestrian promenade. We walked that back to the ship. Recommendation: If we had it to do over, we would hire and do a walking tour. We wasted a lot of time trying to find the Cathedral, Jupiter’s Temple, etc. Very very hot. Dubrovnik, Croatia Took taxi from ship for one hour and driver took us all the way up to the cable car area. Was a great drive for an hour and cost 50 euros. There were 4 of us. He dropped us off at Old Town. Also, it is too far to walk to Old Town from the ship. If you want to walk the walls, would suggest buying your ticket at Pile Gate and going up. We didn’t walk walls. But also they only accept kunas or a credit card. No Euros to walk the wall. However, we did use Euros in restaurants and shops. This town is easy to navigate. To walk the Stradun (placa) promenade from one end to the other without stopping would only take about 10-15 min. However, there are offshoots from the Stradun. We only went in the free places which were Church of St. Blasé and Cathedral of Our Lady (funded by Richard the Lionhearted). Just nice to sit and soak up the ambience. Very very hot. Took a cab back to the ship. No problem getting one. Was 13 Euros to take taxi back to ship. Kotor, Montenegro Tender port. Took about 10 min or so. Lots of tenders. Just walk across the street and you are in the town. Ask for a map at the visitor’s center which is right across the street from the dock. Fairly easy to navigate although we did have difficulty finding the area to climb to the fortress. Kind of in the center. Small town. Our friend climbed to the fortress. She said it was difficult. And it was very very hot. We wandered around. And then ended up in a wine bar that was air conditioned. Tried local wine. Very very good. There were several different price ranges. My wine was 8.5 Euros and it was excellent. Make sure you see the sail in and sail out of the Fiords. Valletta, Malta In advance, hired Cabs + . Supposedly cheaper than cabs at pier. The man we had was outstanding. 25 Euros per hour. Took us to Mdina and gave us a walking tour. Also took us to Presidential Palace Gardens. And to archeological site Hagar Qim—very very old. A 4-hr. tour with him. Then he dropped us in Valletta. We walked around, had a beer at a restaurant, and then went to Upper Barakka Gardens to see view and take lift down to street level to walk back to ship. The lift was free going down. Still a little walk to get to ship—maybe 15 min. Catania, Sicily Booked with sicilyshoretours.com for 6 people. 8 hours for 450 euros. Driver took us to Taormina. Very picturesque. If you walk in Taormina to Roman theatre, there is a fee. I don’t remember what it is as we chose not to do it. In Taormina, we had a canoli at L’Specialty right where they drop you off. Ask for it to be made fresh. Excellent. I thought our tour would be guided in Taormina but it was not. He just dropped us off for an hour. Then I had arranged a tour of the vineyard, Passopisciaro at the foot of Mt Etna. Off the beaten path. Their wines consistently rate in the 90’s. We did a private tour for 6 and a wine tasting with a wonderful lunch. Absolutely excellent. Would highly recommend. The cost for the tour with light lunch which was wonderful was $72.11 per couple with exchange rate. Naples, Italy Hired seeamalficoast.com. 400 euros for 6 people. Driver’s name was Paulo. Very nice and very good. Went to Positano first. Then to Amalfi. Unbelievable trying to get into Amalfi. Sat in traffic for over ½ hour. Wish we could have spent more time there. Then on to Ravello. Ravello is small. Had local wine in Ravello and Amalfi. Amalfi is the biggest town. The drive along Amalfi Coast is curvy but didn’t find it that bad. Views are amazing. Paulo was excellent. Return from Rome Used romashuttle.com. 105 euros for 4 people. Have used many times. Read Less
