This was our first cruise on Celebrity since 2006. We sailed on the Constellation to Canada/New England and had a great cruise, so we were excited to return to Celebrity. This was a probative cruise for our bookings (B2B) in Australia/New Zealand in March/April 2025. Our excitment was quickly tempered as we embarked. First issue, we made the mistake of adding Premier Access to our reservation, ...
On Jan 12, my husband and I boarded the Celebrity Constellation for a 12 night cruise. We had been notified that the previous cruise had contacted norvovirus. Therefore the boarding process would be delayed while they did an extra level of cleaning of the ship. We finally boarded and wait until around 2:30 in the afternoon when the crew announced that all cabins were clean and we were free to ...
In 18 years of cruising this was the worst cabin location we have ever encountered. Aqua cabins are located immediately below the Sauna/Solarium which entails being woken at 7 am each morning by furniture, etc being dragged across the deck above. In addition the balconies on these cabins are entirely devoid of direct sunshine due to the very ugly and huge overhang of the deck above.
We have ...
This was the 9th Celebrity cruise for me; the 2nd on the Constellation. My first experience with cruising was with Celebrity on a Mediterranean with my mother in September 2004. I was so impressed with the level of service, food quality/presentation and the entertainment that I encouraged my husband to go with me on a Eastern Caribbean with Celebrity on the Millennium in 2007. He was hooked! We ...
Chose this cruise for the itinerary
Ship was old. Took 3 hours to board packed like sardines in the heat
Had a cabin for three. ( one person could not go S she was sick). She Wouk’s not have had a bed as the 3rd bed was squashed against the veranda and my bed, The bathroom tiles were mouldy.
Only tried to eat one dinner. It was tough and awful. Similar dinners every ...
We have sailed on multiple ships but never Celebrity. We had heard such good things about their ships and service that we were excited to choose it to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. This was a very big mistake. The ship is very old and has not been updated. There were holes on the decks where it had rusted through. The lifeboats had not been tested since 2019, as noted on the side of ...
Lack of pre-cruise notifications
1 We were not told of the covid infections on previous cruise and only found out from back to back passengers and crew, although we could be sent multiple emails about things for sale
2 We were handed a sheet as we boarded that mask where required at all times
3 Some ports where pay to get off ship (you had to buy a Celebrity excursion to leave ship and ...
Booked this cruise to visit India and expected a luxury experience have paid more than £6k for the trip, which did not include the drinks package or any extras. From the moment i entered our room I was distraught. The room was old with tatty furnishings, curtains hanging on broken runners. Stained carpets and upholstery. Broken doors on cupboards and brown stained shower room. The worse was to ...
We have been on several cruises previously , although we have never travelled with Celebrity. Upon arrival our cabin was dirty with used dressing gowns under the bed and a contact lense, which neither of us wear on the floor. the bathroom was grubby . we had requested twin beds but the bed was double. i went outside and spoke to a staff member who said' you can easily separate the beds.' If we had ...
I have been on 21 cruises, 11 with Celebrity and 10 with RCCL, so I know how Celebrity standards should be and what they weren't on this cruise. The Constellation was built in 2002 and it shows. She is going into refurb in March 2020, but only for cosmetic updates and not mechanical fixes. In the meantime, Celebrity is doing NOTHING to keep the ship in good condition. There is visible rust ...
