Suez Canal and Arabian Gulf

The holiday was part of my wife's 80th birthday celebration. Having been several cruises with other companies we wanted to try out the Celebrity Cruise line. Also we had never before been through the Suez Canal. We spent a few days in Rome (a city we are familiar with) before the cruise and then a few days in Dubai (a new experience) at the end. Seen it now - wouldn't go back! The ship ...

We booked this cruise because of the itinerary and had low expectations of the ship after reading all the reviews. We were, therefore, pleasantly surprised to find the ship was, in the main, very well-maintained - not as glitzy as some of the newer ships but nevertheless clean and comfortable. Staff (especially our cabin steward) were all extremely helpful and friendly. We did not have a drinks ...

Service, food and ports of call were outstanding

The free use of the thallasotherapy pool and spas were great. Deck chair hogs were not. Smoking was allowed on the far corner of the pool deck and the smell was disgusting. Had to hold my breath when I needed to pass through the area. Why not have smoking on an open deck where others do not have to inhale second hand smoke? Rude able-bodied passengers occupied the two tables set aside for ...

We did noy stay in Rome before departure as we have visited a couple of times before in depth,so we went straight from the airport to the shipwe did not have a great start here as we were told in baggage reclaim to look out on the left hand side when exciting missed them they were behind a great big pillar we walked around the arrivals and went back to our starting point luckily for us we spotted ...

Firstly, a bit of background, this was our first cruise with Celebrity having 25 plus previous cruises mainly with the Carnival group of brands. The last ten years apart from one with P&0 and one with Fred Olsen all being with Princess Cruises. Last New Year we tried P&0 after a gap of 9 years - just to see if all the so many poor reviews could be accurate. For us they were true and could only ...

Boarded the Celebrity Constellation in Abu Dhabi for 16 day cruise to Rome via Suez Canal. The ship is a nice size and as mentioned by other contributor’s a little tired. The ships staff were first class and with the weather hot and sunny made for an excellent cruise. Dining in the San Marco restaurant was good with excellent service. Cannot comment on evening shows as we did not attend. The ...

We were searching for a place to visit in the Middle East and found this cruise. We booked the cruise about two months before sailing and there were only inside cabins available. We boarded the ship in Abu Dhabi. The embarkation was very fast and our cabin was ready when we board the ship. Disembarkation in Rome was very fast and all our luggage was in one place. There are no washing ...

This was a cruise to tick off 2 bucket list items, Petra and Suez Canal, We arrived early Monday morning and got to the port at 8:45 ish, Celebrity opened check-in at 9am for around 100 of us but we did have to wait until 11am to get on the ship. We were expecting warm temperatures but not the 37-43 centrigrade we had. We did the Magical Muscat tour and were not disappointed though the ...

We booked with a travel agent that included precruise and postures tours, airfare and transfers. The entire experience was excellent. Embarkation ran smoothly. We did private tours which were interesting and fun and we met some wonderful people. The ships staff were so friendly and spoke to us always as we passed by including those cleaning the common areas. The Captains Club manager,Rati, was ...

Great Itinerary on 14 night Arabian Sea and India Cruise

This was a fascinating cruise, and fortunately we did not experience any of the kinks with immigration that the people on the voyage before us did. Please know that everyone needs the multi-entry visa for India, NOT the e-visa. There was a group of travelers who had the e-visa and they were not allowed off of the ship in 3 of the 4 Indian ports. Prior to sailing, we stayed one night at the ...
