Itinerary...never been to Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. Cruise was very tiring if yiu wanted to see all the stops, with only 2 sea days out of the 10 day cruise. Also with our anytime dining at 6:45, we could not participate at the Captains get together for Elite members which was at 7:45 to 8:30. The regular Captains Club get together was fro 5 - 6...dont understand why the Elite get together was also held at 5 - 6. I recall the on other Celebrity cruises each Elite get together was held twice each night one for early dinng and one for late...cost cutting? On a positive side the cabin and dining and wine service were EXCELLENT. The waiter and wine steward could not do enough for you. With one exception we opted for non-ship private excursions since we had a group of seven...no bus and less cost. Worked out very well. The ships tour to Mt Etna had an excellent guide. Also in 2 stops if you dint have a tour it cost $12 to get into town and back...penny pinching !!! Read Less

We decided on the Jet Set Sail package. Really excellent service etc leaving from stanstead, but do think more could be done with regards to transfers in venice. Boarding went well, as includes priority boarding. Booked concierge class cabin, we had sailed with celebrity before and always chose this catagory We found the constellation an excellent choice. The recent refurb showed in the cabin and in other areas and we werent disappointed. The service, food and crew were all excellent. The only complaint we had was the groups of children that were allowed to run round the ship and in the bars at night. We witnessed verbal abuse from some of them when challenged by the crew and celebrity need to correct this. All ports of call around the greek islands were first class and disembarkation into the ports was swift and efficient. The restaurant staff were faultless and couldnt do enough for us. On return to venice, again the Jet Set Sail package was sadly lacking and the coach we were transferred in had major engine problems and we really thought we wouldnt even get to the airport. Marco Polo airport was chaos, definitely need more than the customary 2 hours prior to departure. But all in all a really great cruise and looking forward to travelling with celebrity again next year, keep up the good work. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary especially the overnight stays in Dubrovnik and Malta. We had sailed on Celebrity Constellation many years ago and had fond memories. The ship still fits my choice of a traditional mid sized ship but the service was often mediocre and the class distinction has spoilt the happy relaxed feeling a cruise should have. The recent upgrades are attractive especially in the Reflections Lounge where we remember on a previous cruise enjoying a pre dinner cocktail, but on this cruise it was closed every evening at 5pm so the "elite" class guests could have exclusive occupancy, and several times during the afternoon it was closed for private functions. The staff were often very rude about clearing the lounge. We were also disappointed with the live entertainment in the lounges which was very minimal and almost never appropriate for the age of the large majority of guests. The only performance in the theatre that we enjoyed was Jayne Curry. The food and service in the main dining room was very good and we looked forward to it each evening. However, the same could not be said for the Oceanview Cafe, and we were not surprised by the outbreak of norovirus considering the state of cleanliness of the crockery and cutlery. The day before the announcement, I pointed out to a staff member that I had discarded 10 cups before I had found a clean one. We were "lucky " to avoid the virus, and for me the negative aspects could be pushed to the background, but not so for my husband. Read Less

We chose this cruise firstly because it was terrific value for the money 2nd for the ports it was visiting 3rd because it was Celebrity and they are always on top of the game. The embarkation was in Venice and went smoothly we were soon on board drinking bubbly and being introduced to all the amenities the ship had to offer.Constellation is one of older ships in fleet but did not look it, everything was spotless. The crew from captain to the cleaners were all very good and all ways had a smile for you, service in the restaurants was excellent nothing to much trouble for them never an empty glass!!The food and choice was some of the best we have seen on any of the cruises we have been on,the only disappointment was the replacement of the creperie on five to sushi on five but it's a personal thing. Entertainment in the theatre was spectacular the shows were on par with anything you would see in London or NewYork, all the other groups and singers were very professional and very entertaining in and around the bars and public places throughout the day.All the ports of call had numerous excursions you could go on but we only did one ,that was the Amalfi coast trip it was amazing .Most ports Celebrity laid on courtesy buses to city centres to do your own thing.Would we go again with Celebrity? Most certainly was the fourth time and soon to be a fifth. Read Less

We love cruising & find Celebrity meets our preferences well. Staff are caring, helpful & fun. Food is excellent & shows are usually very good, especially production casts. Places visited were pretty & interesting. By way of criticism, we were on this ship 5 years ago & despite a refit found its finish was dark & not as bright as other ships in the fleet. We were disappointed that prices are noticeably increased & costs are being cut. The programme of events from Oct'2015 shows twice as many daily activities as Oct'2016. Bar staff tips are now 18%! Menu choices are reduced, eg. only two new dessert options at dinner now. Excursion prices are too high. Pay per view movies on tv are $15, exorbitant! Many 'discounted' sales goods (special offers) are cheap & of poor standard. New policy to offer 2nd passenger half price conceals overall increase! So, changes deserve to be criticised. The company needs to reconsider. However, it is still a great holiday experience. We have already booked our next cruise on the Reflection in 2017. Thank you for opportunity to raise these issues. The ports were fabulous, and the price was good! This was our first visit to the Dalmarion Coast! The ship was clean in public areas and staff helpful and friendly. Didn't attend celebrity theatre. Food at dinner was very good, service was excellent! Room was kept clean except for the bathroom, the floor and bathroom needed bleach and scrubbing. The room attendant was very personable and friendly, did his job well. The room 3067 was quiet and fairly close to the elevator. The buffet cafe on the 10th floor was tasty and adequate for breakfast. Other than the old dirty bathroom our stay was comfortable. The ship needs to redo or deep clean the bathroom. Also the chair in the room had a stained fabric so I put a clean towel on it. I would have been more comfortable in a cleaner room, bit didn't think to complain at the time. Read Less

City stay of 4 days in Venice was wonderful. Well worth the price. This was great way to start our holiday. Excursions were included in the price. They had us at a very nice Hilton, right on a canal. We should have asked for a better room as ours faced an inside courtyard. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The ship was very clean, staff and entertainment very good. For us to see the 7pm show, we simply skipped dessert and had it later. There was an odd way of doing dinner thou, as you had to sign up each night for the next night. Would have been 5 stars but the disembarkation was a horror. The buses going to Venice airport could not go to the terminal. We were all let off in a parking lot. They did provide luggage carts, but you had to push your own cart up to the terminal and no staff offered directions. Worse for us as it was raining, I guess the staff wanted to get out of the rain. Nicely Scheduled Mediterranean Cruise Celebrity Constellation was a beautiful mid size Cruise ship. We like it. This 12 days Mediterranean, there were only 2 Sea days. Each evening our ship departed from the port, next morning when we woke up, we were in a brand new port and town to explore. More than 75% of the fellow passengers were typical retired seniors, at the same time we saw some honeymoon couples enjoying their lifetime trip. We flew to Roma via Frankfurt, and stayed 2 nights in Roma before embarking Constellation at Civitavecchia port. Our pre-cruise hotel was “Hotel de Monti”, actually it was not a hotel but there were 6 rooms only apartment style accommodation at the 3rd floor in the old building built in 16 century. The room was surprisingly modern and very cleans with comfortable bed, including good breakfast was a bonus. Walking distance to Roma Termini, Colosseum, and Trevi Fountain, and easily go to St. Peter’s Square by Metro. We tried to arrive at Civitavecchia before noon to avoid embarking crowds. Our embarking was very smooth, we got our Sea-Pass card right away without any line-up. Soon we found ourselves eating our lunch at the Oceanview Café. Celebrity kept our passports when we checked in at Civitavecchia until one day before disembarking at Venice. Our cabin was inside #8085, mid-ship on deck 8. Nicely organized inside cabin and located very quiet section. We didn’t spend much time in our cabin, just take a shower and sleep. This 12 days Mediterranean Cruise, only 2 sea days, so almost every morning, as soon as our ship moored at the pier, we were out of the cabin to explore the town. Perhaps, if we had a balcony cabin, we wouldn’t have enough time to enjoying a balcony. 2 years ago we had an Alaska Cruise on boarded “Celebrity Century”, it was a very pleasant cruise. On board Century, we were encountered very happy, friendly crews at Restaurants, Buffet, Bars, Pool deck, and Security points. They were enjoying their works with passengers. We had a very fun cruise. Unfortunately, on boarded Constellation, we did encounter the grouchy crews and staffs regularly. They just routinely did their works everyday but did not take any extra mile to take care of their cruise guests. It’s seems like, they do their routine work without any energy or eagerness. It was sad to see……….. The worst crew was a front desk personnel. They treated cruise passengers like un-welcoming herds. They showed us obvious annoying look first, and then asked with fake smile, “What can I help you!”. We tried to avoid guest service desk as much as possible we could because they would ruin our enjoyable cruise. If I named one crew who took care of us very pleasantly, he was a dinning waitperson named "Vladimir". Every time we had our dinner at his section, we enjoyed our meals and conversations with him. Entertainments: We only saw 2 shows out of 12, one was Hollywood production style show and the other one was Saxophonist from Liverpool, UK. Both show were nicely done, at least I didn’t fall a sleep in the chair. There were only two sea days in 12 days cruise. These sea days pool deck was jam packed with sunbathing peoples. So you should wake up early to get a lounger or two at prime location. Dining staffs were promoting specialty restaurants very hard at the Main Dinning and Buffet entrance, Gangways, Elevator halls, everywhere. I think Celebrity cruise specialty restaurants’ cover charge was too pricey. Inclusive main dining was more than good enough for us. Even the 2nd Chic day, we got a Lobster tail at the main dinning. Disembarking was well organized and very smoothly done. Three nights before, we picked our disembarking time and got color-coded luggage tags with number on it. 1 day before disembarking, just placed tagged luggage outside of the door before 11pm, next time we saw our luggage was at the cruise terminal in Venice waiting for us to pick up. Ports and Excursions: First of all, we don’t like any group(big or small) tour excursion, since we have to follow the tour’s timetable. We hate it !. Therefore, we did D.I.Y. excursions all ports except Kusadasi, Turkey. Rome, Italy: Pre-cruise. We spent 2½ days in Rome to explore. We visited major tourist attractions such as Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, and St. Peter’s Square. These places were packed with tourists and the Selfie-Stick was the most popular device in Roma. Pisa, Italy: Early in the morning, we took the Trenitalia train(€58pp, Return ) from Rome Termini to Pisa, 2.5hours later we arrived at Pisa central station. From there, we caught the city bus (€2 Return, 15minutes) to Pisa Leaning Tower. The Pisa Tower was still standing with such a leaning angle, amazingly. There were many leather products shops in front of the entrance but all were counter fit products, so be aware! Napoli, Italy: Cross the busy road in front of the Napoli cruise terminal, we took a streetcar(€1.70 each way) to Napoli Porta Nolana station. And then, we caught the Campania Express train for tourist to go to Pompeii(€11 Return ). Pompeii Ruin(€13 Entrance fee) was very unique, and huge archeological site, you need at least 3 hours to explore. Good walking shoes, water, hat, and detailing map are essentials. Valletta, Malta: Our ship arrived at 1:30pm. We walked to the Elevator Tower(€1) near the harbour, it lifted us up to Upper Barrakka Gardens area. Harbour view from this Garden was spectacular. There was a free Wi-fi hotspot at this Garden, everybody frantically using it. We wanted to go to old Valletta town but ferry from Valletta to Sliema was canceled due to rough sea(?). Santorini, Greece: There were two choices of transportation at Santorini. One was taking a cable car(€5) to top of the cliff, town of Fira. The other one was take a ferryboat to Oia. Tender boat took us to tiny Fira harbour; at there we bought a “Ferry + Bus transfers ticket(€15)” to go to Oia. Less than 40 minutes ferry ride and bus transfer, we arrived at town of Oia. It was a beautiful breathtaking town, and a stunning harbour view from the top. Explored Oia for 3 hours, and then we caught a transfer bus to town of Fira. We had our lunch at the restaurant with spectacular view of Santorini harbour. Even our huge cruise ship was looks like tiny, tiny toy ship from there. Our return to ship, we rode a cable car down to the Fira harbour. Kusadasi, Turkey: This was the only port we hired a Tour company called “Ephesus Shuttle” because we were afraid of mishap in Turkey. We had “Shuttle - 1” 4 hours Ephesus tour, plus House of Virgin Mary with a knowledgeable tour guide named Ms. Dicle Gundem(?). She was a very intelligent lady who is working as a tour guide for 7years. Highly recommend. Rhodes, Greece: Cruise ships moored on a pier directly opposite the walls of the medieval Old City. Walk to the end of the pier, cross the road, and you are into the walled Old City of Rhodes. We walked around Cobblestone street for 2 hours, not much to see but interesting old town. Nice restaurant named Socratous Garden was our stop to take a break in the hot day. Mykonos, Greece: Our ship docked Mykonos new port early in the morning. Cruise sold unlimited use of transfer bus from new port to old port town for $5. However we knew in advance, there is a Sea-bus(€2 each way) frequently right in front of the cruise ship to the old port town and drops us off in the centre of town. We loved White tiny church(Church of Paraportiani), the White buildings, Little Venice, and Windmills in the old town. Walking through the twists and turns of the streets was wonderful experience. We saw enough ruins already so we didn’t go to Delos. Athens, Greece: Our ship berthed at Piraeus Terminal A. Just outside of the terminal, we found a X80(Express bus ) bus-stop to city centre as we expected. However, posted sign at the bus-stop said “Out of Order!”, we didn’t know what does it mean, but definitely X80 bus was not running at all in May. Walked out of the Piraeus port and caught X40 city bus(€1.70 each way) to Syntagma Square. We spent good 4 hours at Acropolis-Parthenon(€20 entrance fee) , Areopagus- Mars Hill, and then wondering around Plaka area for shopping. At Syntagma Square, we could watch a Presidential guard changing ceremony. Don’t miss it out; it was a kind of fun/entertainment to watch. China, Greece: We docked the port of Souda, about 4km from Chania. Just outside of terminal, the city was operating a non-stop transfer bus(€2 each way) for cruise passengers to Chania old town. There were the old buildings, the mosque, the lighthouse and crystal clear waters makes Chania very pictorial. Venice, Italy: You must see the town of Venice from the Sea. When cruise ship was maneuvering the narrow strait into Venice harbour, we could see everything about town of Venice. We decided to walking in and out of Venice, we used People Mover(€1.5 each way) from pier to Piazale Roma. From there, we walked to Raialto Bridge, and St. Mark's Square. The street was a perfectly maze but we could find many direction signs on the building wall. Again it was a totally crowded tourist town, therefor further away from the main tourist attractions; we could find a good restaurant with reasonable price in Venice amazing city. Read Less

We went on this cruise solely because of the itinery which proved to be the correct choice. The Greek Islands & Turkey were great. We arrived in Istanbul late due to the flight time, then over 1hr 20 to get to the ship by then it was 2045 so up to the buffet for something to eat.!st impressions ok, not realising same thing all the time. Next morning , breakfast. What a carry on, first of all find the English counter then find a plate then look for cutlery. It was the same at lunch time. Every day was the same, with no change to the menu at all. Dinner was very good. Excellent waiters and food fairly varied but quite small portions, no good if you have a good appetite. Our cabin was 1st class (316) ideal for dining room & getting on/off the ship. Entertainment on the whole was very good. good bands/duo's etc in the bars were excellent. The main artists in the theatre were English so were to a high standard. The ships company (singers/dancers) were bad, very bad in some cases, they only performed 3 times in 12 nights (one being at 2300) which was lucky for us. All in all it was an enjoyable cruise with great locations and all the staff on board were attentive & friendly. Would we use Celebrity again. Possibly if the itinery was good & a gratuity/drinks package was included. If not , then no as 18% on everything could make it a very expensive holiday. Read Less

Embarkation in Venice took only 15 minutes max. Boarded ship about 1pm & cabins ready by 1.30pm. Had sailed on Equinox last year so a bit disappointed by interior of ship especially cabin which was tired & need of update. The itinerary was great especially Dubrovnik & Kotor which were absolutely stunning ports of call. We only dined in MDR on select dining option. The level of service was excellent no matter which table we sat at and the girl on reception Tijana was so helpful and professional in all her dealings with passengers a real asset to Celebrity. The Maitre D Hugo was also great & helped us sort out tables for friends we met on the cruise. The quality of food in the MDR was good with some very tasty cuts of meat. The entertainment staff were energetic & good fun during the day and proved themselves to be good quality singers, dancers& aerialists by night. The shows on this cruise were superior to the Equinox. The Captain was a STAR so interactive with the passengers and such fun. One would book a cruise just to experience his sense of humour again. I handed in my feedback card (by mistake) a few days prior to disembarkation & mentioned a few issues regarding the tired look of cabin. The following morning the head of housekeeping arrived at the door & wanted to sort out the re- grouting of shower cubicle, recovering of sofa bed etc to our satisfaction. I was very impressed. The staff really want to ensure that customers are satisfied. The cleanliness of cabin & public areas was good. I would have liked mattresses on all the sun loungers as opposed to a few. I also had a very good experience with a supervisor during the the booking process (after an initial disappointing experience) this proves to me that Celebrity have really improved their focus on customer satisfaction levels. We Disembarked at 7am as we had made our own transport arrangements. This was straightforward and very quick. Read Less
