We went on this cruise, last year and loved it! It is a very relaxing cruise.I could write a lot about the constellation but it would all be excellent so that is all that I'll say. Look for Waiter Joey, from the Philippines. He is fantastic. We did not Visit Stavenger. We visited Skjolden, instead, which was a beautiful stop. We booked all tours on the ship, but did a couple stops on our own. I'll give you a quick list of our tours. I'd recommend looking them up on the internet.
Bergen = Funicular Train on our own. Easy to walk to. We hiked down from the mountain. There is a very nice walking trail.
Olden = Bus takes you to the area. Walk to Briksdal Glacier. It is a long scenic walk. It is not too steep, but it is strenuous. This is a must-see, if you can handle a 3 mile walk.
Molde = It rained that day so not very scenic. went to an old German Bunker and then to the Ocean Road. It would have been very nice if it didn't rain.
Alesund = We went on a bus tour of the Troll Road. Very nice and Scenic.
Geiranger = This was our favorite port. It is absolutely beautiful. Went up to the top of Mt. Dalsniba(saw reindeer), by bus, to the visitor center, then to Eagle Bend Lookout. You can look down from the top of the mountain and see the cruise ship in the Fjord, below. If you are a photo-buff, you need to get up early to take photos of the Seven-Sisters and the Suitor Waterfalls, in the morning light, as the ship comes down the fjord. They are across from each other. The captain may stop there on the way out, in the evening.
Flaam = We found that the Flaam Railway was over hyped. We took a bus trip to the town of Voss(home of Knute Rockne) which was okay. We then took the Flaam Railway back to the port. It lets you off right at the ship. The train is very crowded and makes one stop at a famous waterfall.
Oslo = We did this on our own. Bought a ticket on a Ho-Ho bus which are available outside by the ship. You can buy them online or at the pier. There are lots of things to see in Oslo. We visited the following: Vigeland Park, The Viking Museum, the Fram Museum, The Maritime Museum, The Palace(changing of the guard), The City hall is a must-see. there is also a fortress by the ship that you can see when you return.
I did this all from memory, so don't be upset if I made a mistake or two. Please look these sights up on the internet.
This was a great cruise. We did it back-to back with the Baltic Cruise. If we did it over, we'd do the Baltic Cruise first, as it was very busy and hectic.
Hope this helps. I'm sure you will love it!
