This is the 2nd cruise we sailed with Celebrity, we were impressed with Eclipse last year and decide to join another cruise with Celebrity. This is a slightly smaller and older ship than the Eclipse, but we still had a lot of fun in this 9 nights cruise trip. First of all, we love the shows at night, the performances, singer and dancers did a fantastic jobs, we caught the show every evenings and make sure we don't miss it. The onboard activities were Okay, a lot of them are the same as what we played last year, so it is a bit lack of surprise for us, but the games are still fun to watch. We still had a great time. We did not go to the specialty dinning, so we stayed at St-Marco Dinning room for your dinner. They updated the menu everyday with plenty of choices. We tried a lot of different food everyday and they had Lobster Tail and Scallops which are my favorite! We also had our breakfast and sometimes lunch and snacks at OceanCafe, honestly the food are getting a bit boring. They did change their Chef Specials everyday, but other than that, the other food in the buffet was very similar everyday. With a cruise of 9 nights, you may get bored. My wife went to their morning sketch a couple of times early in the morning, but other dance or yoga class has to pay, so we skipped that. The gym was clean and the machines were fairly new. They have a basketball court, which is often forgotten by a lot of guests. I spent a good 45 minutes there while at the sea. The basketball are a bit old and some of time are not pumped. Service was great, there were officers teaching us to use the new App on Board, which is very useful to see the daily activities and communicate with your cruise mates and family on board. Most of the staff are very friendly and had smile with them at all time. However, my steward's job was really bad. First, she never come greet us or come talk to us during the 9 nights of the cruise. Second, she always forgot stuff in our room. For example, we had no agenda for a couple day, toiletries not refilled, no clean towels. Dirty cups are not taking away, etc. It was horrible, and we decide to talk to the guest relation after 1 week. They sent a steward supervisor to talk to us and apologized, and they gave us a follow call the days after to make sure our room and supplies are Okay. I would say that it could be just a bad individual who didn't properly do her job and not Celebrity's standard. Overall, the ship is clean and easy to navigate. We like Celebrity and have great experience at the ship, but we like to see Celebrity creating more new activities, providing more and different foods in OceanCafe daily, so it keep their guest impressed with this Premium Cruiseline. This is my first time with Celebrity and I was most impressed with the excellent service from housekeepers to crew to waiters. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole cruise. Also they always pass out a paper for next port so you can read through the FAQ for each port. ROOM: We stayed in an oceanview room second deck. Our restroom definitely needs some maintenance work cuz the handles on the sink cabinet came off the first day, then the hook on door came off the second day, then the entire shower head holder came off the last day almost hitting my head while I was showering. DINING: There are only 3 specialty dining (Qsine, Tuscan Grill, and Sushi on 5) on this ship but I was mislead by one of the sales while booking that this ship also has another fancy restaurant called Le Petit Chef Qsine Experience. So I end up purchasing 1 extra specialty dining night package. Qsine is a fusion restaurant. Every dish has fancy presentation but everything tastes disappointing. It's only worth going if you enjoy take food photos. Sushi on 5 is decent but my husband said the sashimi is not fresh enough. I only eat cooked food so the sushi tastes fine to me. The best food here turns out to be the appetizer Kobe beef sliders. It melts in your mouth. Tuscan Grill is the only one that's worth going back. Amazing appetizer Berkshire porkbelly with sweet cider glaze & crab cake. For entree we ordered Roasted beef ribeye and it was cooked to perfection so my husband end up finishing the entire 16oz steak by himself. Grilled Branzino taste good too. We went back again the next day. As for the 2 other complimentary dining, the Oceanview cafe is buffet style and overall food quality tastes lower than expected. Food was lukewarm and dessert was way too sweet. For breakfast I wish they had waffle machine so I can make fresh ones for myself. For dinner I end up going to the fresh stir fry station every night so I can get real hot food. San Marco Restaurant is the other complimentary dining more semi formal if you want to dress up. Food tastes better the the cafe but it takes a while to get your food. We end up only going there twice cuz we are always starving after our daily 9 hour excursion. Some nights I end up eating my instant noodles. Excursion: I booked 7 excursions with Celebrity. Overall tour quality was good but pricy. If I go again I might try to book local tours. I had a hard time understanding the first tour guide in France maybe due to her accent. I gave up listening to her after the first hour. All the tour guides were fine and I can understand them perfectly. Keep in mind these tours are always rushing you especially when you go to Florence and Rome. There's no time to take good photos and pay attention to listen to the tour guide at the same time. We almost always end up giving up on listening and focusing on taking good photos. I was most disappointed with the meals that's included in the these tours. The lunch included tours is at least $70 to $100 more per person but they only serve you lasagna. It feels like I am paying $100 more for a bite of salad, a thin slice of prosciutto, a piece of lasagna and tiramisu and sparkling water. This is for sure not worth your money. You should save it and just grab lunch on your own. Sea Day: Plan your day earlier. Avoid lunch and dinner time cuz there's no place to sit in the buffet area. Same for pools. There's a lot of activities that day and you can plan accordingly. WIFI: Very very slow speed at sea and we paid for unlimited plan for one device. Not sure what other options are out there. APP: I tried using the app but it wasn't really helpful for me. I booked excursions several months ahead and I completely forgot about the details of each excursions. I couldn't find this kind of information on the app. FEEDBACK: They will send you a survey at the end of your cruise but that survey has no blank area for me to write detail reviews like this. The only note area has limited character count that I couldn't even finish write 1 sentence. Not sure if they really want to improve and read our reviews. I might go back again with lower expectation on food quality. Overall their customer service is outstanding and this is why I might consider going back again. Read Less

This was our firs cruise experience so this review will help you if you've never cruised before. We got married in Rome so started the cruise from there for a 10 day trip around the med finishing in Barcelona. Obviously not cruising before we had no idea what to expect! Embarkation was smooth, we were greeted by smiling staff offering sparkling wine(?) and we were overwhelmed by the ship in all honesty. The ship is grand and beautiful, there was some live music being played by an acoustic duo in the main stairwell area which made our first experiencing extremely smooth and relaxing. We had a wonder round and took in many of the different areas of the ship to gain some understanding of how to 'to cruise'. Cabin We opted for the Concierge Class. The room itself was great, spacious and the balcony was a great size and private. Bathroom was small and you could not fit 2 people in there at one time, but I can imagine this is probably the same in most ships. There is a decent size dressing table with lots of mirrors so you can look your best before leaving your room! Bed was extremely comfy and you had multiple pillow options when concierge class. We didn't really benefit from the Concierge, mostly because she was not available for the first day of our cruise, I am sure she was helping other guests, but we had questions regarding our drinks package etc that we just figured out ourselves or asked members of staff. What we did benefit from being Concierge class was a backstage tour of the kitchen area which was complementary as part of concierge class. It's only a quick tour but does give you an insight to the extremely busy and complex kitchen arrangements. Dining We took the opportunity to dine all suited and booted however the same cannot be said for other guests, which is just sad. We ate breakfast and lunch in the buffet which does have a really good range of food and the queues are minimal considering how many people are on the boat. However when dining in the buffet of an evening, you are sharing the experiencing with people still in swim shorts etc which just ruins it slightly. After a couple of days we booked in to the San Marco restaurant every night. We had pretty much the same table and waiter each night which is far better quality. I am quite fussy when it comes to food, so I ate French Onion soup and Steak pretty much the entire time which was delicious. My wife had various other dishes but again, the food quality was very high. As a couple you are put on either a 2 space table or out on a big table with other guests. As anti social as we are, we requested the individual 2 person table where there is minimal room between the tables but does not impact your experience too much. Entertainment The entertainment is good and ranges from musicals to magicians. The onboard entertainments team perform multiple times during the cruise, and this becomes a little boring. There is an acoustic duo that play twice a day most days of the cruise in various locations of the ship and they are brilliant to listen to. After the last show (10pm) there is no real entertainment. So if you visit the earlier show (7pm) you will be stuck for things to do after, other than the overpriced casino. There are daily sports activities which involve table tennis and quizes that are hosted by the activities team, there's not much of a budget for this but its still something extra to do. There are enough sun beds to cover even on sea days, just make sure you get down there before 10am. Of course theres still the usual people throwing towels down at 6am but theres enough room and lounges to cover. The pools are ok and decent size, the indoor salt pool is lovely and we spent a lot of time in there. There is a spa at an additional cost which is always put in front of you. They are very keen on upsells on this ship and you will always find extra ways to part with your cash. Didn't spend any time in the casino (Other than having to walk through it to get to the theatre) as it was expensive. $10 for minimum bet on blackjack is a little pricey for me, but that may just be all cruises?? Other than the table tennis and drinking alcohol there is no more activities for you to do. And as a couple in our late 20's we were at a point where we didnt want to sun bathe all day or sit at the bar. The ports we went to do were great, Portifino is beautiful but very small and expensive. They offer a boat to shore at an extra cost so be aware of this. We travelled during term time so there was no children, but I feel if we had kids then there wouldn't be a massive amount for them to do, so do not recommend this as a family holiday. Service Service is superb all round and 99% of the staff are, or at least appear to be happy. I will point out that the ship, I have no experience to compare, but was extremely clean and tidy. The toilet facilities were absolutely spotless and there was always a 'toilet guy' in the gents by the San Marco restaurant. Overall Do not recommend Concierge class The ship does appear to be dated and tired in places Theres not a massive amount to do (In comparison to Royal Carribean and Carnival for example) Very clean and tidy Good food Great staff We paid over £4k all in, so I do feel it was ok value for money. But we were expecting more from the concierge class. Read Less

Really enjoyed this short cruise from Barcelona to Venice as Part of a longer holiday in Spain and Italy. Had a balcony cabin on deck 7 which had been recently refurbished and was very nice comparing well with our Aqua Class cabin on Eclipse the previous year. The cabin steward was friendly and helpful as were all the crew we encountered. Having been spoilt by the Blu restaurant we did find the MDR a bit overwhelming but really enjoyed eating from the buffet in the Sunset Bar for several nights instead. We had a lovely meal in Tuscan and would go there again but didn’t really get the concept in Quisine so would probably not bother with that on future cruises. We enjoyed most of the ports we called at on this cruise except Genoa as it was a Monday and most of the tourist attractions were closed. The info on the ship didn’t make you aware of that so after a very hot walk standing at the entrance of things we could have visited on a different day we took the open top bus tour and then got back on the boat! We did the Vatican Behind the Scenes Tour run by Celebrity which was very good but included a meal in a hotel near by. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the, quality of the food or service which was slow and wasted an hour of our short time in the city. We were left feeling we had paid a lot of money for something that we could have got far cheaper and better by finding somewhere ourselves. Neither was it a traditional Italian meal in a local restaurant that celebrity suggests you will get. Overall though this was another great cruise and we would use celebrity again Read Less

We booked this cruise during last years bogoho sale. We picked it mainly for the ports & that it covered 3 countries in the west Med. The unkonwn ports of Alicante, Spain and Sete, France were a plesant surprise which we thoroughly enjoyed walking around exploring. Not to mention the other ports were great with the exception of Marseille which was a disappointment and VERY dirty. - next time we.ll venture further a field. The crew and standard of Celebrity were of high class however the Constellation ship is a little "tired". We were expecting more of an update afetr the brief refurb earlier this year. It seems only the gift shops and high end stores were updated. Eg. Curtains in the Rendezvous Lounge had some rips in. Carpets worn in public areas. Music was loud from the bands. Wine glasses in the main dining room had water stains on all & you aeemed to be rushed thru your sitting. We had an oceanview stateroom 9001 on forward port side. Easy access to the gym, pool, bars and Ocean View cafe without any noise. Celebrity looks after most of our day tours which were great and you were guaranteed to be back for the ships sail that evening. The other ports we did our own exploring, mainly on foot or took advantage of the hop on hop off buses in town. All in all we had a great time. Met some lovely people from all over the world and hope to be back cruising again soon. Read Less

This was X cruise number 9. So we can sort of saying that we like Celebrity. We are a couple in mid 30, so compared to the rest of the demographic onboard. We are on the younger side. But we like it, we go early to bed and like to have one glass of wine together whit good food. We are not party-all-night fans, so what X gives us, fits us perfectly. We flew in to Barcelona a day early. So had time to walk around for some shopping and sightseeing. This cruise, we celebrated 7years wedding day. It was so nice, they had posted a big card on the stateroom door and we had a cake whit candle delivered to dessert on the day. It was so nice. It is just a really nice thing. It is all in the details. We did not expect anything. Since we celebrated 5years wedding day onboard Equinox and we did not receive any form for knowledge of the day. This time we had gone all in compared to earlier. We had a aqua class cabin, well kept. The cabins is very similar to the ordinary cabins. But the shower has more jets and you have access to persian garden and Blu. The food in Blu is very our cup of tea. Lots of salads, fish, seafood and vegetable. It tasted really good and we were taken good care of. If we can, we will do Blu again. you can really taste the difference from the MDR. We had some lunsj in the buffet and aqua spa. Lots to choose from, but on the millennium class, the lay-out of the buffet is long and you must walk all the way around to see whats on. Service in bars and cafe al bacio were good. They help you as fast as they can, overall quality in drinks and presentation is good. Entertainment is very personal. Some like it, some dont. This cruise it was change of the cast in production shows. So it was nice to see some familiar faces from earlier sailings back on the stage. They did 2 shows onboard. We seen them before, so we are a bit tired of it. But the cast did a good job. The guest entertainers on this cruise was very good. We had a really good time on all the shows performed. Live music around the ship was good but not the best. We had better music last cruise... The string due was not the best on the seas. We prefer some of the others we have had before. It was the 3.sailing we have whit cd Rich Clesen. He do a great job and we like him. Hope to see him onboard again in the future. As for activities, it was actually missing some details. We actually feel that is was missing something from day to day. Normally we never feel the need for this, but on this cruise it was to little on the meny. It not a big deal for us, but still. It could have been a little bit more offers/activities. It felt like the activity team was one step behind every day. After the short dry dock in may, Connie has a big screen back on deck 12. They show one movie a day. The selection was not great. It should have been a movie and something else every day. Ports of call in this cruise was some new and some old ports for us. Corsica was one of the highlights. It is very nice, docks in city and the water are crystal clear. Would we book another cruise on X and or Connie? Yes Read Less

This was our second cruise on the Constellation and as with our first cruise - it did not disappoint. We selected this cruise for its itinerary (as all of the stops were new with the exception of Livorno - but we did something different than the first time we were there), the price, and because it is Celebrity! Embarkation was as smooth as silk. We were a little early (1030am) but were allowed to board and it only took 10 minutes. Our cabin was an oceanview (lowest category available - 08) right at the front of the ship (2001), but the cabin was of good size, quiet and very "stable" - no rocking! We chose this cabin because of the incredible price/value (as it included drinks, tips and $200 obc) - for less than $1000 per person!! We ate all of our evening meals in the Main Dining Room and the service and quality was great. I liked the variety and quantity!! Entertainment on the ship was ok. The main performers were average with the exception of the magician. His act was pretty amazing. The games and other activities on the ship were really good and plentiful. What made this cruise was the crew - Celebrity seems to hire the friendliest and most helpful people. The itinerary (and luckily the weather) was amazing. The cruise was absolutely awesome with the places we got to see. I don't really have too much negative to say (yes...I could nit pick like most people like to do), but overall, I had a great time on the cruise, had plenty to eat and drink, and the ports were interesting. Celebrity did not disappoint and I will continue to book with them in the future. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the destination. We boarded the ship in Venice and overall check-in was very good. Our outside cabin was located on deck 2, right above the exit....You can imagine the noise we had to put up with. There were only 2 sea days, which means that we heard the noise 9 mornings out of 11. Even if we wanted to sleep in on some mornings, we could'nt. We were at the second seating in the main dining room. Food was OK but not great. We are used to great food on Celebrity. I had to return some plates because they were too salty which has never happened on Celebrity. Overall the ship still looks ok but needs a bit of a face lift. The cabins are "tired". In need of new furniture and bedding. However service was great all over the ship. No complaints there! Read Less

I have to say, the embarkation was extremely smooth, so this was a good start to our cruise. I do however feel that even though having a refit the ship still felt a bit dated. The cabin was clean, but again felt a bit dated. We have only cruised 6 times previously and have never taken in a show before. This cruise however we took in 5 shows and really enjoyed them. The staff were so so friendly. A big disappointment however was the food in the dining room. The food on the sun deck for breakfast and lunch was very nice. One thing which really annoyed me was the fact that some passengers were refusing to apply the hand gel when offered by the crew, and i passed on this to one of the head of the ship. From a personal perspective we were disappointed with the lack of guest making an effort to dress up for dinner(we did every night, we feel this adds to the occasion). I am well aware that the Company has to make money, but the price for even a bus trip to Rome was $90 or there about's, we ended up getting a bus at the port 19 Euros each return. as well as this internet prices were again about $332 for a 10 day cruise. We sailed with celebrity before and booked this cruise on the last one because we enjoyed it so much. Constellation was a disappointment. We went Jet set sail which was fine this end. Nearly 2 hour wait for our luggage with no information meant a poor start. No welcome on arrival. Poor bar service was an issue throughout compared to last cruise. Staff in Blu were amazing but service was wanting in other areas. There were other issues which although raised with guest relations were not sorted. Celebrity did not want to know either on board or after writing to them. Excursions to Split and Montenegro were interesting but the latter included a forced and unexpected fashion show at a leather showroom. We never felt relaxed as we had done on our last cruise. However the entertainment was much improved. The Cardinals were excellent entertaining in the lounges. The guest shows were much better than our previous cruise. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have cruised many times and are always looking for something new to see. Sadly, what was new was the lack of service and the lack of required knowledge demonstrated by the Shore Excursions department and just about anything from the pier on. Customarily, we will visit ports independently and we are more and more becoming fans of hiring local taxi drivers/guides because of the great service and local knowledge they provide. In two ports, it was impossible to book an independent tour and it was reported that taxis were scarce. We booked two tours through the ShoreEx desk and they were both a waste of money. In another instance, the desk told us that it was not possible for my mobility challenged wife to visit Pompeii on her travel scooter. The taxi driver we later hired saved the day and took us to a less popular entrance to the site that led right to the ever improving and expanding accessible route through the ruins. (Check Sage Travelling or a similar resource for more information). I will NEVER use a ship's Shore Excursions desk again. Taxi fares are sometimes regulated by government, or simply by competition. The ship was heading for dry dock following our cruise, so one might reasonably expect to see some "deferred maintenance" about the vessel, but unreliable and sometimes inoperable elevators (in which some guests, including this writer, were briefly trapped between floors) is unacceptable and inexcusable. The remainder of the Staff onboard treated us as well as we expected. We do not look upon the ship as a destination, so specialty restaurants, wine cellars and the like are not an attraction to us on any ship. The dining we did partake of, mostly the cafe because of our penchant to spend as much time touring ashore as possible and regarding food as a necessity not an event, was quite good. Friendly, attentive staff and as much variety of menu as one should expect. Breakfast each morning was delivered on time, fresh and friendly. The entertainment was a pleasant surprise. Last year, we were on the Silhouette and it was so bad that we walked out of every show. On the Constellation, we looked forward to each evening's offering and were mostly entertained. Strangely enough, the Cruise Director on both cruises was Rich Clesen. (Obviously influences above his pay grade.) Overall, THE SHIP was as we expected and we were pleased. Disembarkation in Barcelona was a disaster. The baggage hall is not laid out as usual: a serpentine belt (like an OLD airport system) is used in place of the floor groupings expected. Luggage gets separated, many disembark group's bags are travelling endlessly on the conveyor belt together and the carefully timed group disembark falls apart waiting for your bags to appear. The bus bays are a cattle stampede. No matter how you are departing, there is a confusing, disorganized wait for your conveyance. The port disembarkation staff are untrained. I could have sworn it was their first week on the job, but our porter's roll of the eyes told us it was a common occurrence. There wasn't enough wrong that spoiled our holiday, but it seemed that every time we stepped ashore, they screwed something up. Pardon my bluntness. Will I travel Celebrity again? With the right itinerary: yes. Read Less

The crew could not have done more. I cruise a lot and have rarely seen a crew so nice and accommodating. The boat is old but kept in excellent condition and clean. I do not suggest you stay on the second floor. We had room 2000. The door to the crew was right next to us. We nicknamed it the crew highway. There was constant ongoing maintenance going on and at one point they were emptying a cabin which had flooded. We have never seen so much repairing going on. None of this effected us though. We were the last sailing before the 2 week dry dock to give the ship a facelift. I am hoping the give the crew a boat worthy of their excellence. The food and drink was good. Best sugar-free desserts. The buffet restaurant actually had fantastic food. Entertainment varied, some shows were excellent, some of the other entertainment was OK and did not stand out. The on and off boarding during every port was excellent. We never waited to get off. The greeting upon returning was fantastic. In fact, we never waited in line for anything. Even the elevator came quickly. The ports were great - no tendering. We did Italy, Malta and Spain. The daily things to do was lacking. It was either geared to selling something or there wasn't that much of it that interested us anyway. Also, the TV was not good. They charge for movies which was disappointing. I think this boat is geared to 50's and up. I had a massage and it was very good. It was on the expensive side and they never really went on sale though. Also, the day you stuff all you can into a bag for the laundry did not happen either. No washer/dryer on the ship so we wound up washing things in the sink and hanging them. Overall, I would take the cruise again. It is a good value for the money. There are a few things I would do differently such as downloading movies before I go, bringing more books, etc. This cruise was relaxing and low key. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the boat is in need of an facelift. If this happens it will make a wonderful 5 star vacation. Read Less

This has been our fourth cruise with celebrity. We have booked the concierge class on all of the cruises. On each cruise, we have noticed a decline in quality. The service we receive is exceptional but the food an amenities that are being offered are declining. One of the perks of Concierge class is having hors d'oeuvres delivered to your room each evening. On our first cruise these were interesting little taste treats. It now consists of getting a plate with four sections. In two of the four sections, there are crackers. The crackers are about the size of an oyster cracker and about the same flavor profile. The third quadrant is olives. They put four olives in this quadrant two black and two green. The fourth is some sauce or hummus for dipping the crackers. We ended up going to the Oceanview Cafe and bringing down a plate of olives, bread, cheese, and garlic bread to enjoy with our wine on our balcony. If you are considering elevating to concierge class, don't do it because of the hors d'oeuvres. We were also supposed to get a pillow menu, but we saw no evidence of how this featured worked. The priority check-in and disembarkation was done well. The dinner in the main dinning room was only average. The first night my wife ordered a NY strip steak. It was thin and over cooked. I had other dishes where the quality was lacking. The portion size is also small. They also start you with a bread basket and three dipping sauces one of which is butter. These sauces are quickly consumed at the wait staff does not want to bring you more. Only once did a waiter volunteer to bring more dipping sauces. We had dinner one night at the Tuscan Grille. The food and service in this specialty restaurant was exceptional. My other experiences on the ship were more positive. We enjoy dancing, so most of our evenings were spent in the Rendezvous lounge. The bands played enough of a variety to satisfy our dancing needs. We also enjoyed the Reflections lounge were they had bands or a DJ providing music. We had a classic drink package that was part of the "1,2,3, Go " promotion. Once the wait staff knew you had the package, they would routinely bring doubles. The workout facilities are well equipped. I work with a trainer that incorporates swiss balls and bosu balls into my weight training program, and they had a wide variety of balls available plus free weights and machines. One feature that may not be well known is that the Men's changing room for the fitness area has a dry sauna. It is not part of the Aqua Spa, so there is no additional charge to use the sauna. When I returned from shore excursions a would have a sauna and shower before dinner. My only complaint about the cruise itinerary was that we only spent one day in Barcelona. We could have missed some of the other ports to gain an extra day in Barcelona. Barcelona is a city with a lot to offer and I would think the Celebrity could have and more excursions over a two day period. Read Less

The ship was an exact replica of the Summit so we knew exactly where everything was. It is a nice ship but nothing new. The food was spectacular, as always. There was no need to go to one of their gourmet restaurants when you have 5 start food and service in the regular dinning. I have never been a big fan of their entertainment, mainly because they mostly cater to an older age group. The service was outstanding. The restaurant staff, bartenders, and stateroom staff were fantastic. We went on the 8 night Adriatic and Mediterranean cruise which had great ports. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. We stopped in Cannes France, Rome, Salerno, Kotor Montenegro, Zadar Croatia, Ravenna, and Venice Italy. They were all lovely ports and Celebrity had numerous excursions with very different activities for everyone to be able to choose the activities they wished to partake in. Read Less

This was our first cruise and our honeymoon. We chose Celebrity Cruises based on the ports of call it called at and the wonderful reviews online. The overall cruise was excellent and it exceeded our expectations :-) All crew on board are really friendly, acknowledge you at all times and make you feel welcome. If there are any problems, they ensure that it is resolved immediately and as soon as possible. The entertainment was lovely and I feel accommodated all tatses on board. The food and service outstanding although we dined at one of the speciality restaurants on board called Ocean Liners and were very disappointed in the service as it was extremely slow given that the time we dined there were hardly any guests dining. The food was really good though. We loved dining at San Marco Restaurant every night as the food was outstanding and waiting staff professional and made sure your needs were met and more. We would certainly, if given the chance again cruise with Celebrity again and strongly recommend it to others as well.It was by far the most luxurious and best holiday we have ever had :-) Read Less

I chose this Meditteranean cruise as it visited a lot of Greek Islands, and boy was it so good, so beautiful. Both my husband and I said we would even do that same cruise again. You just have to pick different Shore excursions to see different things. I couldn't fault Celebrity, the service across the board was excellent as was the food. The ship is beautiful. I really like its neutral colour schemes. I can't stand some of the bright, gory colours of some other ships. The cabin is good, spacious enough with room to store your suitcases under the bed and with enough storage for my husband and I. We were on Level 7 (Sunset) and we were happy with that choice. I did book some shore excursions through Celebrity and I'm glad we did. There was one occasion when the excursion was half an hour late returning to the ship and because it was booked through Celebrity they wait for you to return. My only gripe was one shore excursion the group was too big, they should have split the group into two. Even if you have headphones if the group is really large and you get caught at the back of the group there can be times when you cannot hear the tour guide as the communication cuts out or gets interference if the tour guide is too far in front. We enjoyed most of the evening shows, they have quite a wide variety of choices which is great to cover people varying tastes in entertainment. Every night had a different show. Overall a fabulous cruise and I've booked another Celebrity Cruise again. Read Less

my wife and i have been on many cruises (30+) over the last 30 years. we have been on many different lines. never on the super premium e.g.: crystal), but on the ones right below. we have sailed in celebrity before a few times. we really enjoyed the line. the last time was about 5 years ago. we selected this cruise because of the ports. we had been to italy several times. never to the dalmatian coast.(croatia, montenegro, etc.). ports were wonderful. the trip to venice was very nice. our travel agent (virtuoso in sherman oaks ca) was extremely helpful. she suggested we upgrade for the over the water portion on alitalia to a comfort cabin class. it was well worth the extra few hundred dollars. we went to florence for a few days, then took the train to venice for embarkation. embarkation was a nightmare! not enough agents. total disorganization! took us 2 hours to get through. the club classes had no lines. we had 500-700 in line and another 500-700 on seats. we are capt. club members, but not a high enough classification. a real cattle call. the capt. and crew including the cruise director were wonderful as was the cabin stewardess (jennifer) whom we gave an extra tip. entertainment was good. the dining room personnel were ok, just doing their jobs. breakfast servers were very nice. breakfast ok. typical cruise food. dinners were TERRIBLE!. pork and beans just one example. from an upscale line. unacceptable. premium restaurants were good. the ship was geared to the suite customers. 2 prvate premium restaurants for them. private clubs. roped off seating in the theater. all perks for those customers. that's fine. but, we were made to feel there were 2 separate classes on what was supposed to be a classless ship. will think twice before spending our $5000+ with this line again Read Less

The GOOD, Our Concierge cabin was wonderful. Very nice. All the staff we meet were both friendly and helpful. Our Head Waiter Hasan, on deck five, table 520 was the savour of our meals. Embarkation was fast and very easy. The BAD, Where do I start? The food was bad to very poor which was a surprise due to the fact that the brochure states world class food. It was so bad that on our third day we decided to eat at the buffet. Much to our surprise the buffet was over half closed with very few choices to eat. The food did not look very appetizing either. We had to go back to the dining room. This cruise was a celebration for one of the couples in our party. It was their 50th wedding anniversary. We planned this for 2 years. Our travel agent and my friend who's anniversary it was, both confirmed our dinner reservations for the Tuscun Grill. It was noted at both times that this was for a celebration for a 50th wedding anniversary. On arrival to the Tuscan Grill,I mentioned to the Matre'd and our head waiter that this was a special dinner for their 50th anniversary. NOT ONE PERSON from this ship did any thing for this couple. No piece of cake, a glass of champagne, nothing. The wine list was a joke. They tried to offer a bottle of a low end Wente wine from California as a premium wine selection. We are from California and questioned the wine choice so they brought a more expensive bottle form Spain which was not at all good. We had steak for dinner, a filet , which we can grill just a well as they did at home on our barbecue. The photo service is the worst I have ever seen on any of the cruises I have taken. I always buy a lot of photos from the ships.I bought a photo package for $79.00. It seem like a good deal. I had a very hard time choosing enough photos to fill my package. We never had photos taken at any of our dinner seatings, nor did they show up for the anniversary dinner. I asked the photo manager the day before to please have someone in the Tuscan Grill for my friend's anniversary dinner. They never showed up. I had to have the restaurant manager call for photo service. They finally showed up but the photos were of poor quality. I can take better photos than they did. Every other cruise I have been on , when you leave the ship to go into a port , they have a photo area with the theme of the port your in. NOT this ship. For France we had our photo taken with a stuffed dolphin. Go figure? The next port was Florence and Pisa. We had a photo with a parrot. The last two ports which were Rome and Naples did not have any background except the side of the bottom of the ship. Normally the photo people are taking so many photos that you almost get tired of them. With this cruise you won't have to worry about spending money on photos. They also do not have many activities to do if you choose to say on the ship. THE UGLY, with the concierge class room you get afternoon appetizers every day. The first two days we received a plain white kitchen plate with a paper doily on it. It had 6 small nickle size stale pieces of bread with fancy cheese whiz squirted on top of the bread. I thought, is this some kind of a joke? The third day we requested cheese and crackers. When the same white kitchen plate with paper doily arrived it seemed to be a little better until I took the plastic wrap off the plate. Sitting next to the cheese and cracker was a bunch of grapes that had gone bad and were moldy. Some had fluid oozing from the. To sum this ship and cruise line up. I will NEVER use this line again nor will I recommend it to any one else. I have been on the Carnival cruise line and Royal Carribean line. As we all know Carnival is not noted for a higher class of cruising after all they are the fun ships. I have to say I was very disappointed as were the other two couples who traveled with me and my husband. The food, activities , photos and personal service are 100 times better on the Carnival line. This is kind of funny as they are not the elite of cruising as Celebrity states they are. Read Less
