We expected a luxury holiday, we paid a fortune for this cruise and it really and truly wasn’t worth it. We had never been with celebrity before and wouldn’t consider them again. I was disappointed in this cruise, and I don't think I will sail with Celebrity again.
The food was nothing special at all; and we didn't think it was any better in the 2 specialty restaurants we tried.
The cafe desserts never changed and were less than ordinary.
We also didn't find the staff to be very friendly. They rarely smiled or tried to be pleasant it seemed.

Sorry as an extremely seasoned cruisers this was the first time sailing with Celebrity and we were very disappointed. We went for this cruise for the itinerary. Had not sailed with Celebrity before but reviews were generally good. We were disappointed. Most cruise lines want to extract your cash but Celebrity take this to another level. Definitely not to the standard of Princess or Cunard.

Let me start by saying the majority of the staff were great. I found some of the male help in the dining room did not give way to any females, even when they, the female, had the right of way. Saw the cruise advertised in the newspaper and it looked very appealing. The cost was just over £5000 but as my wife and I were about to celebrate "special birthdays" and wedding anniversary we thought we would treat ourselves to a "special Holiday". We even upgraded to concierge class for that little bit of extra luxury and service. None of which did we get.

We did a back to back, the first is the 14 night Vietnam and after the 15 night India.
The first cruise was not so good and definitely not the Celebrity standard. It was not well maintained, very dirty when we got onboard the first day. It did improve over the course of the cruise. The furniture for the sunset deck was sticky and just felt dirty all the time.

This was the second time that I was on this ship. First time was great (the year before). This time it was terrible.
It all started when boarding. I had a couple of bottles of wine in my suitcase which you are allowed and they held on to it in security. I was not informed and had to go get it myself.
