It was a good cruise except ror the noise every morning at 5:30. The boat is old and in need of some serios restoration. It was our first time on Celebrity although we've been on 22 other cruises; mostly Carnival, but we're getting a little older now and seemed like a good boat to go on based on reviews. The food was very good in buffet and main dining room. The entertainment was very good. The ...
We flew in 2 days early to enjoy Fort Lauderdale. Stayed at the Hilton Marina and was convenient for water taxi's and our annual trip to Coconuts for dinner! The morning of our cruise we had a flash storm at 7am that we got to watch sweep across the intercoastal waterway from our 8th floor balcony. The power was shut down at the port so previous cruisers were late in leaving. After about a 15 ...
This was our first time cruising with Celebrity. We have cruised on Disney twice before and Holland once. We had an Aqua Class cabin - 1133 (large veranda). The view from the room was great, but the boat rocked quite a bit. My only compliant was the veranda door would not stay open or shut when you were outside - it banged back and forth due to boat rocking. Room was noisy at night - I ...
Experienced cruiser in early 30s traveling with my wife, mother-in-law, and parents. Got a pretty good deal on this 14 day itinerary compared to later 2012 14 night sailings on Eclipse.
Cabin
Went with inside cabins as balconies were 2x the cost and smaller than S-class, so we didn't see value in paying up. The cabin was small compared to industry standards, and it showed it's age despite ...
Members of our group flew independently to Ft. Lauderdale and most overnighted before the cruise at the Comfort Inn. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Rodeway Inn near the airport. It was so-so with a nice sports bar restaurant but check-in and airport pick up were rather poor although the shuttle to the airport was timely and well organized. The vans pulled luggage trailers and each went to a ...
Getting aboard was easy and without trouble. We got to our room which I felt was smaller than other ships. but it was clean. Went out to the veranda and was surprised to find all the railing's rough and unpainted considering it had a $40,000,000 upgrade you would think that the railings would be a must. Also the bed was hard and small we had to ask for a foam to ease the pain.
That first night ...
This was our fourth cruise in total, all with Celebrity. We've both previously been only on Solstice Class ships (Solstice twice and Equinox once). We had high expectations for this ship -- especially since it was marketed as being "solsticized." In this review, I promise I will try my best to be honest and just give the plain facts of my experience.

Myself (48), my partner (51) and my parents M (76) D (74) cruised the Constellation for 14 nights during the Christmas break. It was our 2nd cruise on a Celebrity ship (Summit) and my parent's 3rd (Summit and Millenium). We have previously cruised a number of times on HAL, RCCL, and NCL.
My parents are snowbirds who live 15 minutes from the port so we drove ourselves and parked at Park N Go ...
Part I - Precruise
A. Inception
We are avid Caribbean cruisers. Last year, we spent Christmas and New Year's in the Caribbean on the Celebrity Mercury (which, sadly, sailed for the last time under that name in February 2011) and we wanted to do it again. We looked at all cruise lines, but settled again on either Royal Caribbean or Celebrity (the only lines we have cruised on) because of their ...
This was our first Celebrity cruise and our first holiday cruise and we were not disappointed. We arrived at the port around 11:30 and we shown to a waiting area for the concierge class.
Checking-in was easy as can be. We were on the ship by noon and promptly went for lunch. It was a very nice touch to be greeted with a glass of sparkling wine upon embarkation, this from smiling happy staff. ...
