Wavering on continued cruising with Celebrity

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We chose this cruise for the destinations, previous experience with Celebrity, the embarkation port. This was our fourth cruise with Celebrity and we have two more that were booked before this cruise. We were disappointed with Celebrity but the Tampa Port was very efficient for us and the key destinations were as good or better than expected. Celebrity staff continue to provide a great cruise ...

We just returned from a 10 night southern Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Constellation out of Tampa. The following is a detailed chronology of the issues we encountered on our cruise. Day 1: We understood that there were issues on the previous cruise which caused a delay due to extra sanitation measures. Once on board none of the staff on board has given us a correct answer. Asked for ...

This is nearly an 8,000 word log/review. If you just want the summary, scroll down to the bottom! Celebrity Constellation 3-17-23 Friday, March 17 – St Patrick’s day & embarkation at Port of Tampa: The day before embarkation we received ‘urgent messages’ that embarkation would be delayed until 12:00 due to Norovirus on the prior cruise. So, our 11:00 assigned time became 12:00. Not ...

We chose this cruise because of it's overnight stop in Cartagena Columbia, it was one place we had not been to. The stops were, Leaving Tampa, FL, Key West, FL, Cartagena Columbia/Overnight, Colon, Panama, Limon, Costa Rica, and Cozumel. We were the only vessel in Key West, so we were at Mallory square. The busiest port was Cozumel, their were 3 vessels at our dock near Margaritaville, and ...

The title of this review should say it all!!!! 11 Day Cruise from Tampa to the America's on March 6th-17th/2023. On Celebrity Constellation.....................not great for sure! Go to the CDC site for the American government and you will see that Celebrity Sister's ship that docked on March 18th/2023 also, had GI issues and Covid. Most people probably did not report to the staff that they ...

A good cruise but

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

At her launch in 2002 Celebrity Constellation held 1,900 passengers. We left Tampa on March 6th with 2172 passengers. As you can imagine that means space is at a premium in elevators, poolside, in restaurants and just about everything else. To make things even a bit worse it is woefully undermanned. On our first night out Main Dining had major backups in the kitchen. No longer do we have ...

Chose this ship due to an older crowd. Appreciated not having hardly any children running around. Have only been on Norwegian breakaway 4 years ago and there buffet was amazing. I am sure that Covid and the current economy had something to do with our experience on the constellation and will have to say the food was horrible Had heard this from many passengers that I spoke with The specialty ...

Great crew, corporate felt like nickel and dimeing us

We had a great experience on Celebrity a few years back, so with the south western itinerary offered, it was a good choice. Our dissatisfaction is not with the crew who were all great. Some even exceptional, especially in the dining room. Our disappointments were with the "all included" package being so restricted and upgrades so expensive. Start with the internet. You can't Skype the grandkids ...

Cruising great, niggles with staff shortages

We choose cruises by the destination as we have no desire to do the same loop over and over again. Unfortunately many cruise lines rarely offer new countries or options other than the USA as homeports. As Canadians we find Celebrity do change things up and have done Asia, India, Middle East, Antarctica/ South America with them. This cruise appealed because of Panama and Colombia, new countries for ...

Columbia, Costa Rica, Panama - locations we had not been Had signed up for a 4 class barre package Friday before departure. When arrived friends went to spa and was told they were cancelled. I expected to automatically get a refund, not so. Waited 7 days and I had to go to request a refund. Poor customer service. Hubby and I had booked a couples massage. Went to spa to be told they ...
