Celebrity should polish the silverware

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Celebrity Summit

The title of this review will be explained later, and it has nothing to do with hygiene. For identification purposes my wife and I have been cruising fairly regularly for the past 20 years. We are “older,” fairly healthy, we prefer taking the stairs to riding the elevator. Celebrity has been our favorite cruise line since the start, but we have also cruised on Princess, RCL, Holland America and ...

We booked this cruise to use up a pre-pandemic credit from 2019. (Multiple intervening attempts failed.) We are grateful to Celebrity for the credit, for the extensions they granted to those of us with credits, and for getting back to sailing. We went to Reykjavik six days early. There is plenty to do in Iceland and a mere port stop or a day or day is insufficient. Everyone we met was ...

we choose this cruise because of our dear friends of 35 years. They had reserved this cruise several years ago and my DW and I thought we would rejoin our adventures with them. It was difficult to book a cabin 9 months out. Little did we know this itinerary was the inaugural cruise for Celebrity's to visit Greenland. Our last Inaugural cruise was the Infinity cruise to Antarctica in 2010! ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Summit

We go on a couple of cruises a year. We've been on the Summit before and previous to this cruise we were on the Constellation. Celebrity is our favorite cruise line. However, this cruise just didn't come up to the standard we had experienced on previous Celebrity cruises. We chalked it up to poor hotel management. Embarkation in Venice: Since part of our luggage stayed behind in Paris and we ...

Summit 14-night Classical Mediterranean Barcelona to Venice, Oct 3 to Oct 17, 2009 Concierge Class 9th deck Background: This trip was the first cruise for my husband and I, and I did quite a bit of research on Cruise Critic and elsewhere prior to selecting this itinerary with Celebrity. We selected this particular itinerary for time of year, length, variety of ports, overnights in Rome and ...

Since this is our first cruise I can't say whether Celebrity Summit is the best ship/cruise line or not. However, I can state that my husband, five year old son and I had a great time and enjoyed the sunshine immensely! First, some positives. We chose a lower deck stateroom as I read you can't detect as much motion as higher up, and we chose not to have a balcony because I am the paranoid parent ...

We just returned from the Barcelona to Venice cruise aboard the Celebrity Summit and I have to say, all my homework paid off!  Thanks especially to Cruise Critic!!  They provided me with wonderful information that helped our vacation go very smoothly.  I knew exactly what to expect and was neither unpleasantly surprised or disappointed.I started my homework a year ago beginning with the cruise ...

Embarkation was as smooth as I have ever experienced.  This was our 6th cruise, our first with Celebrity.  We boarded around noon, and nearly walked straight on.  We had done the online check-in.Cabins were nice, we had Concierge class 7197 & 7203.  7203 was fantastic with it's larger aft balcony.  We traded in our two bottles of Champagne for Pinot Grigo by asking guest relations, it wasn't much ...

Background My wife and I have just turned 50 (ish) and this is our 8th cruise, previously one cruise on Brilliance of the Seas and all the rest on Princess ships. We go for the destinations and are not shoppers and we don't use the onboard Spa's or the Casino. This cruise was for our 30th wedding anniversary and so we added the 4 night pre cruise tour of Madrid & Barcelona (we only do this on ...
