We choose this particular cruise because it was local to us and we just wanted to relax and eat our way through the trip. It was everything that we had hoped for and more. Chose it for the itinerary. This was our first cruise in nearly 4 years due to Covid. The food was excellent but we did notice the portions are smaller. This was not a problem for us and if you want to order extra appetizers, entrees or desserts you certainly could. We had a Concierge Cabin and our steward was exceptional. This cruise was actually gifted to us so we were able to completely evaluate our trip/ship with an unbiased point of view. Quick observations and context: We sailed the Pacific NW cruise from Seattle to Astoria, San Francisco, Victoria & Vancouver. We have previously sailed multiple times on the Summit (and like the ship very much). We found the larger size and newer design of the Solstice VERY nice.
