We were 2 couples with 3 of us celebrating our 60th birthdays this year. We had sailed on Celebrity Silhouette last year on a Western Mediterranean and so decided to celebrate by doing an Eastern one on the Solstice this year. We were not disappointed although we thought the Silhouette was a little nicer. We did like the added attraction on this ship of the hot glass blowing and attended about ...
This was the easiest embarkation procedure that I have ever experienced. It took no time at all. My first view of the interior of the ship was dazzling. My companion who had never sailed before was equally impressed.
The cabin we had was quite comfortable but could have used a few more drawers. We found ourselves leaving clothes on the sofa.
The food was very good in the dining room and ...

My husband and I went on our 2nd Celebrity cruise 27 August to 8 September 2012. Apart from Venice, where it rained on both occasions we have visited, the weather was perfect. It was a wonderful itinerary as all the ports were beautiful. The Solstice is a very stable ship and even when we had storms on a couple of nights, I did not feel the ship moving. Our first time on Celebrity was the ...
We joined the Solstice on 27 August in Barcelona having travelled from Dublin with Aer Lingus for a 12 night cruise The transfer to the ship was also included (there was a little confusion at the airport to the coach getting all passengers together!) Smooth check in at port and as we have been on the Eclipse and the Equinox we were familiar with the layout of the ship This was a Mediterranean ...
We set off from Barcelona on Friday 3rd August, of course I like Barcelona I live here so no problems for me. We boarded about 11.30 12.00, no problems maybe we waited ten minutes.
We went straight to the top deck to have a look around and have a couple of beers and just chill out.
We waited until the call came saying the rooms were ready and then we went to have a look at our cabins.. Our ...
We loved our family Mediterranean cruise on the Equinox in August 2011 so much, that we did it again this year! This time, a 12 night cruise out of Barcelona on the Solstice, with an overnight in Venice. There are five of us - my husband and I and our three technically adult children, ages 22, 20 and 18. Our daughter has a physical disability, cerebral palsy, and although getting around Europe ...
This was our first cruise on one of the new Solstice class ships and we were really looking forward to it.
The Solstice is certainly a great looking ship and even though it is 4 years old, I cannot say that I noticed its age anywhere that we came across.
We were in an Aqua Class room, but as we were travelling with family we did not get a chance to experience the Blu dining room, we are back ...
This was my second time cruising the Mediterranean and my first time aboard Celebrity. The pricing seems too good to be true considering this cruise line was rated pretty highly. I have cruised on a good variety of cruise lines, even including 3 luxury class cruises as well as more family oriented low end cruises, so I had a pretty good idea what of what I was looking for. This Celebrity ...
My husband, my 25 year old son and myself thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Celebrity Solstice. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a Royal Suite which was like a nice one bedroom apartment. The Master bedroom and bathroom were spacious and extremely comfortable and always clean. The suite included a full master bath with two sinks, a hot tub and a large separate shower. There was a second half ...
