We looked forward to this cruise for several reasons but especially because it gave us the opportunity to cross off several "bucket list" items. The embarkation process in Rome was easy and quick. The ship, one of the newest in the fleet was beautiful and elegant as we expected.

I was very disappointed in the Holy Land cruise on November 17, 2012. We never reached Israel due to fighting there. This could be understandable except they repeatedly said there would be no problem 2 weeks before the cruise and while we were sailing to Ashdod. They continually lied to us up until the day we were to arrive.

First-time cruiser -- head read up on all the various things to watch for on cruises, etc. We found ourselves with many experienced cruisers (5 x a year or more) who told us this was an exceptional ship relative to many.
Check-in was fast and efficient with little waiting despite a large number of people arriving when we did.

Booked this cruise while on the Eclipse during a Transatlantic voyage. Specifically due to the visitation of Egypt. We were disappointed when Celebrity cancelled Egypt due to the troubles there, but certainly understood.
