Enjoyable Trans-Atlantic cruise with a happy crew
"So we stopped back at El Bacio for another round of good coffees and then went to stop in the cabin. We found our way back to the shuttle bus and at that point we had walked over six miles, so we were very glad for the shuttle and not having to walk the additional over one mile back to the Silhouette...."Read More

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

I shall return to the reason for my title heading a little later in this review. We had not cruised with Celebrity in twenty years (the last being on the Infinity in Alaska) so therefore not in their Solstice class ships, so it was hard to give a true comparison, except to say that by and large this cruise was great value for money! Both pre and post covid, we have chosen to sail on the ...

I have cruised with Celebrity Cruise Lines for many cruises and this one ranks as the worst one ever. On this cruise the Blu restaurant was disgusting, typically in Blu the service is excellent especially at breakfast time with someone always going around with coffee and someone else with pastries but not on this cruise we always had to ask for more coffee and was only offered pastries twice most ...

Lovely spacious ship and wonderful cruise - but very disappointing food choices!

As loyal Celebrity Select Captains Club Members - This is our fourth Celebrity cruise, and the second on this lovely ship. We pre purchased the Drinks, Wi-Fi and Gratuities Package, when booking the cruise. We didn’t book any excursions, as few seemed wheelchair friendly and we are happy to re discover places under our own steam.Having said that, the distance between where the ship docks and ...

It started to go wrong on the second evening at dinner. Three people on my table had the lamb which came with shards of bone in each mouthful. The Maitre D was not bothered. The cruise became steadily worse. We were never offered coffee after dinner. In Lisbon the whole of my coach asked for the tour to be ended early by taking us back to the ship. In the buffet "Waldorf salad" had the walnuts, ...

We hold Elite status on Celebrity so we are not new to cruising. We spent a week in England and decided to take this ship, rather than fly, back to the US. We took this same cruise a few years ago on the Eclipse. Prior to boarding the ship we had read all the published info regarding covid requirements. Per the Celebrity web site AND calls to Celebrity said that self testing for covid was ...

Friends had already booked and begged us to go. Started out badly at So Hampton. Covid protocol email from Celebrity said we needed to self test 2 days and show a picture of the negative test. Whe n we arrived we were told that a later email was sent out saying we had to show proof of a supervised test. Hundreds of very unhappy people were sent over to another room to get tested at $100 each. I ...

This was back to back after visiting England, Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands. Weather was great and the shore excursions were to new and interesting places. We were spoiled by the entire crew. We had sailed with some senior officers in the past and that got us some added perks that were greatly appreciated. We participated in almost all trivia games. We booked a back to back to back ...

First and foremost our room steward was exceptional. The room was always perfect. I strongly recommend him for employee of the month. Our waiter and assistant waiter, were great. In the dining room the waiters and assistants were all working extremely hard, and providing the best they could. My concern is that the number of tables they had to tend to, caused them at times to be overwhelmed. ...

This is a long - detailed, "Log" style review. If you just want the summary, scroll on down to the bottom. I try to make my notes every day so things are fresh when written. Celebrity Silhouette 10-20-22 London – Miami Tuesday, October 18: Departure This was sure a whirlwind of a day! First off neither my wife nor I slept well, and I think for my part it was the concern that, despite ...

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

We chose this cruise for a little autumn sun in the Canary Islands and having been on Silhouette before in the Caribbean saw it as the perfect fit--or so we thought. The ship was full--perhaps too full and I would say the average age of cruiser was easily 70 plus. The positives; Room attendant was very very good as always and a credit to themselves. Cabana was nice. Elton John show ...
