I shall return to the reason for my title heading a little later in this review.
We had not cruised with Celebrity in twenty years (the last being on the Infinity in Alaska) so therefore not in their Solstice class ships, so it was hard to give a true comparison, except to say that by and large this cruise was great value for money!
Both pre and post covid, we have chosen to sail on the ...
First and foremost our room steward was exceptional. The room was always perfect. I strongly recommend him for employee of the month. Our waiter and assistant waiter, were great. In the dining room the waiters and assistants were all working extremely hard, and providing the best they could. My concern is that the number of tables they had to tend to, caused them at times to be overwhelmed. ...

Celebrity Silhouette 10-20-22 London – Miami
Tuesday, October 18: Departure
This was sure a whirlwind of a day! First off neither my wife nor I slept well, and I think for my part it was the concern that, despite ...
We chose this cruise as we are Elite members and it fitted with my time off.
Everything pre cruise was fine until 14 days before hand our room became magically unavailable! 2 days later we were allocated another room a deck higher which was ok.
Lots of sketchy e mails sent by Celebrity regarding ports of calls and changing itinerys and health regulations which was confusing and actually not ...
Picked this cruise as it was from Southampton so no flying.
Great thing about this ship is the crew, all helpful and happy, great stateroom on deck 10,food very good in the MDR, not the usual choices in the buffet, which was disappointing ( perhaps because there were only approx 1300 guests onboard ), precautions taken re covid were very good ,but there was four cases, three of these were taken ...
There should never have been the amount of stress pre cruise that we (English) and especially the Americans were put through. The lack of communication from Celebrity was a common theme. We all jumped through hoops to get on this cruise.
Pre- embarkation we had to arrange for PCR tests within 3 days of leaving. The choice was use Eurofins, recommended and linked to Celebrity who then forward ...
As a retired London travel agent I researched this cruise ship and knew the food would be very good. We booked 6.30 pm in Main Dining Room. Only went for first night as awful.
Requested table for two for 50th anniversary. Put on table for six but with just four people on it. The noise from our floor and the one immediately above which was a sort of mezzanine floor was appalling. The ...
4 stars again for the cruise.
Staff give excellent service and for us the S class is about the right size. We have not rated fitness or excursions as we do not use them. Our cruises are all about enjoying the ship and meeting people.
Check in is excellent. We park on the dockside and typically take around 25 minutes from the car to being on the ship with a welcome drink.
Azores was ...
My wife and I have just returned from a relaxing 10 day cruise aboard the Silhouette, we are maiden cruisers with Celebrity, having previously cruised with Princess and Cunard and this was our first cruise without our daughter, who we packed off to University only 4 days beforehand.
Embarkation in Southampton was very smooth and relaxing as we choose to spend the night before in a hotel to save ...
This is our second cruise with Celebrity. and certainly not the last.
We got an "upgrade" , which we didn't want (a better category, but a worse location, so there were some problems on our first day, until we got our original room back.
They did give us a free meal in Moreno as a compensation (which was amazing) for being homeless until almost 7pm.
The service was great everywhere, and ...
