British Isles Cruise May/June 2016
"The cruise itinerary was wonderful and the ship was beautiful and well maintained. However, we found the main dining room food to be "hit or miss"! Many times we found the cafeteria food to be better quality and..."Read More

Celebrity Silhouette Guernsey, Ireland and Iceland We are some would say seasoned cruisers and to be honest we chose this cruise about six weeks before sailing because it was at a good price. All of our cruises bar one have been within the Royal Caribbean family We booked a guarantee concierge stateroom and were allocated 2102 on deck 12. Really good position as just one level below ...

This was our return to the beautiful Silhouette since it’s maiden voyage out of Hamburg many years ago. We decided to try out an accessible Sky Suite and we loved the benefits this brought such as Michaels Club and the exclusive restaurant Luminae for suite guests. The service and food in Luminae was fantastic and offered a personalised dining experience. Kurt and his colleagues were amazing and ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to visit Iceland, the inclusion of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Guernsey were a bonus. We had recently cruised on the Infinity and experienced a few issues. This cruise was better but there are still a few niggling problems. We dined in the Grand Cuvee restaurant and also some of the specialist restaurants. The service in Grand Cuvee was fantastic, ...

This itinerary was terrific. It was docked in Edinburgh for the Royal Military Tatoo which is an event not to be missed; however, booking directly online for the tickets were extremely prudent. The shore excursion was $349/per person. We purchased tickets with great seats for 70 Euros ($87/person). We used public transportation to reach the city from the port. There was a huge tender issue ...

Always wanted to see this part of the world, so... We arrived 2 days early in Amsterdam prior to the cruise. It was fortunate because British Airways lost our luggage and it was finally returned late the night before the cruise. Otherwise, great start to the trip. We are frequent Celebrity cruisers and stay in Aqua class, so we frequently eat at Blu. The menu has changed and it was not ...

We decided to arrive a day and a half before the cruise. We are three 59 year olds, one with mobility issues and a 83 year old who walks a little slow and needs help with luggage, etc. AMS is an easy airport to transfer but it is trickier if you are exiting here. There are multiple queues for various checks and then the walk to the baggage hall was very long. Finally for this group of 4, ...

We chose this cruise because it topped in Liverpool overnight and left late on the second night so we could go to the Final day of the British Open. On the first day we explored Liverpool and the Beatles Museum. We explored Amsterdam after the cruise. Our first time in Bruges, Belgium; it 's a charming Medieval town. Would love to go back. We have been on the Silhouette 6 times, always ...

We chose this cruise because it was Celebrity and it was going to ports and cities that we haven't been to as this was our 5th cruise with them and it was as expected up to the Celebrity standard in most things except the dining was nowhere as good as before and as the waiters told us they have taken a lot of the better dishes off the menu and put the main three dishes people expect on different ...

Amsterdam to Rome September 3rd to 15th. Very good cruise and the staff was excellent. We travelled Concierge class and will have to revisit the benefits of that, in fact I saw every few. The free bottle of sparkling wine was not there, the daily appies consisted of olives, bread and some type of paste spread...we canceled that after a few days. Better to go to the buffet and grab cheese etc ...

We chose the cruise for the ports. Started with a three day stay in Amsterdam as we love that city and wanted top celebrate an anniversary there. Did that on a canal dinner cruise which was great with outstanding food, wine and service. Enjoyed our usual visit to the Albert Straat markets and the fun eateries. Boarding was great, we walked from the Double tree Hilton with our bags and slotted ...
