We chose this cruise for its itinerary but just like three of the four celebrity cruises we have been on excuses we’re made why we had to miss a port of call . We feel they are becoming a budget cruise company at a premium price we found some of the crew disillusioned and not really bothered . We also found the food in the main dining room was well below standard with the quality and the choose. ...
We chose this cruise because I’d always wanted to go to Iceland, also another chance for celebrity to redeem itself after a very disappointing cruise round the Caribbean in February.
We have been loyal cruisers with Celebrity for years attaining Elite Plus status, sadly it’s time to say goodbye. It started with our balcony cabin, items from the previous occupants were left in the wardrobe. No ...
After many cruises with Celebrity this will possibly be our last. And I am sorry Celebrity but 40mph winds should not affect a cruise schedule. Since the Captain made the announcement of changes to the ships schedule and dropping Belfast many passengers have been complaining. Passengers from Australia, USA travelled many miles to visit attractions like the Giants Causeway and are now gutted that ...
I have waited to post my review as I was waiting for the outcome of a complaint raised with Celebrity.
We have sailed with various cruise lines, our last 5 being with Celebrity Solstice class.
I'll start with the good: The silhouette remains a beautiful spacious ship. The service (with the exception of the MDR) was very good. Room service breakfast and the food in the buffet restaurant was ...
This is our second Celebrity cruise, our previous being the Greek Isles on the Constellation four years ago, which inspired us to go again. Unfortunately it was a big let down from day one. It was billed as a “Norwegian Fjords” cruise but in reality there was only one Fjord experience into Olden with the other three stops relatively low lying shorelines into the ports (Bergen, Stavanger and ...
Just came off the Silhouette after 12 day cruise. Overall it was a unexpectedly poor experience primarily due to the severe overcrowding, every cabin packed, including many families with small children. All cabins were booked, lots of cabins seemed to be filled with families with 1-3 kids. I realize this was school holiday period in UK so we expected some amount of kids, but we thought given ...
Chose this cruise for the destination and believed Celebrity offered luxury cruises. We found this not to be the case. Ship was overcrowded, struggled to get a seat on several occasions and service was also slow at times. Ocean View Cafe at breakfast and lunch was so busy you could not find a seat, it felt like a factory canteen.
Cuvee dining, food was average, portion sizes small and ...
This is only my opinion from being on this cruise compared to other cruise lines I have been on
Positives - ship was easy to board very efficient no problems occurred .
Staff as always there on hand so helpful and the long shifts they do they always have a smile and good morning/afternoon.
Spotless ship can’t fault the cleanliness and the space we had in a balcony suite
Negatives ( ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate two milestone birthdays with our family, all of whom are experienced cruisers and were expecting Celebrity to sit in a sweet spot between some of the more mainstream cruise lines and the more expensive luxury sector of the market. It's clear from a branding and marketing point of view that Celebrity aspires to hold this position within the RCCL group and within ...
To whom it concerns, recently I completed this 4 night trip and it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The main reason for booking this cruise from the United States to London, England was to visit Stonehenge. I was informed on the third night of the four night cruise, that the excursion to Stonehenge was cancelled due to lack of interest of the majority of the attendees on the Celebrity ...
