Retreat Is Not a Luxury Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

Let me start by noting we were fortunate to stay in the “Retreat” in an upper level suite. We originally booked this cabin (no Move Up) so perks, etc. described below are what come with booking. Check-in was quick (though we were misdirected a couple of time). There was a separate area for Retreat passengers with pastries and water/soda. There was no separate drop-off for Retreat luggage (more ...

CELEBRITY REFLECTION DELIVERS A RELATIVELY GOOD CRUISE, LACKS CORONA PRECAUTIONS

Celebrity Reflection Delivers a Relatively Good Cruise, but did not take enough precautions for Coronavirus March 2 - March 13, 2020 - This is the second time we cruised Reflection, since it was new (2012) when we spent two weeks back to back on her. Our 11 day cruise this time was better since there was not a repeat of meals and shows during the 11 days. The ship has aged well and was in good ...

Rocking and rolling and early morning noisy

Southern Caribbean cruise was offering 3 of the 5 ports which we hadn’t visited before. 2 sea days up front and 2 sea days returning. 5 port days in a row was tiring, but port 4 we hadn’t booked an excursion (St. Kitts), and we found it was quite a bit nicer than we remembered from 10 years ago. Excursions were booked mostly on our own and one through the ship. All were excellent. I suffer ...

No Celebrity feelings!

I have mixed feeling about the cruise. Embarkation and Disembarkation: Good, simple and very organized Cabin: Adequate, the inside room is spacious enough for two people. Closet and drawers are enough to store our clothes. We were able to push the luggage under the bed. We had a chair, not a couch so the room seems bigger than our cabin in Holland America. Three electrical outlets are on ...

Sleepless cruise

Itinerary and ship! Boy were we disappointed in our cabin! 3119. Not sure anyone would know what was was above the ceiling until you were there. We complained to room steward and then management and then guest services. Apparently we weren’t considered an emergency move, which was requested after second day. Such an expensive “sleepless” cruise....so disappointing. Other than our ...

Too sick to care (I was healthy when I boarded the ship!)

We boarded the ship in record time. The Reflection has the Celebrity App. I used the Express Pass with my phone. They just take your passport ,credit card, take your picture & you get your cabin card. The cabin was great, regular veranda cabin. The attendant was great. I left my phone charger at the hotel & he let me barrow his! My husband also developed a rash from head to toe from the ...

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale the night before our cruise. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. It was very nice. We took a taxi to the port in the morning. About the same price as a shuttle, but quicker and easier. $25 Embarkation was smooth. We were on by about 11am. Our room was ready at 1pm and our luggage was there shortly after. The ship is nice, but the atrium areas where small ...

Just completed a 21 day b2b on the Celebrity Reflection. Stayed in balcony cabin 6249. This was the first time on this ship, now having sailed all of them except the Millenium. Overall, cruise was good but not great. I see some good reviews, but having done many cruises on Celebrity and other lines, we have seen much better. We had some good times, but we do not think we shall ever do this ...

Reflection is a pleasant place never feeling crowded. Pools are small and chilly but that is normal. Dining staff at Blu is business like and distant unless asking for a good review. Aqua class gives easy access to way overpriced spa and silly heated tile covered couches. Aqua class offers little benefit over a standard balcony room. There are lots of small areas for socializing that probably ...

We have sailed several times on the Reflection and her sister ships. Entertainment was excellent. Eddie Jenkins is fabulous as cruise director. He keep everyone entertained all day and evening. A charming man who made an effort to welcome everyone on a personal basis. Cabin stewards was excellent. We only took a shore excursion in Curaçao. It was ok without much to see. But we had been ...
