Charged my credit card every day?
"So I had to add 11 different charges (for a total of a 7 day cruise) and check if they corresponded or not with the last amount in my statement. The most amazing thing for me is that they charged my credit card daily, for 11 times, and for amounts that did not correspond exactly with the daily charges in my last statement...."Read More

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

This is my ocean cruise number 25 so I think I can be objective. It was called: 7 NIGHT SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE. I took this cruise thinking that Celebrity was a notch better that Holland America according to other cruisers. I had a "Concierge" stateroom 9189. The ship was not what I expected at all! The most amazing thing for me is that they charged my credit card daily, for 11 times, and for ...

Was looking forward to this itenerary, we had sailed a similar cruise a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed the ports on this cruise quite a lot - there were a couple ports that we hadn't seen and were terrific (loved Domenica). The ship and the service were both okay, but not great. The ship, despite its makeover a few years ago, is showing its age. Not everything has been ...

Overall, I give it a B+. Celebrity Refreshed means updates to the skin. The bones remain old. Our carpet was new but the phone in the room looks like the original. My wife got locked out on the balcony. I also heard the couple we were sitting next to at dinner have the same thing happen to them. Service was just incredible. The best we've ever experienced. The staff were obviously happy to ...

Just back from our second ever cruise. Both have been on Celebrity, and we like most of the things about that line. All in all, though, this cruise was a 5/10 at best. First impressions mean a lot. And Millenium's first impression was not good. Perhaps because our first cruise ever was on the Eclipse just 4 months ago and we imagined that all cruise ships look shiny and new, we both had ...

Our previous cruising experience includes four cruises on two other cruise lines and we traveled with and without children once on each of those cruise lines. We were looking forward to this cruise as a time for us as a couple to relax and enjoy lots of activities and pampering like we'd experienced on the other ships. That is not what we received. The boarding/embarkation experience and the ...

Not What We Expected

Overall, the cruise was good and we loved the itinerary. However, we just had too many issues that should not have occurred. Plus, I really do not like being in the situation of chasing down and solving problems when I'd rather be spending my time relaxing. We've always heard that Celebrity Cruises was a step above its sister line, Royal Caribbean. We have taken numerous cruises on Royal ...

We got bargain rates and inexpensive air fare for this 5 night W Carib cruise so maybe we're not entitled to complain... I know the Millennium is going into dry dock in 6 wks but the experience might have soured us on Celebrity. The beds: each leaning to one side- separating them didn't help and requesting a foam overlay wouldn't have helped since the bases were listing to one side. Sheets seemed ...

We booked this cruise at last minute. Drove to Miami from Ontario. The check in at the ship was easy. I just wish I had carried my own luggage. So we had to sit around till we could get into our room and then the luggage did not come till we were almost sailing. Excuse only one service elevator working. I was lead to believe we couldn't. This ship needs to dry dock and get things fixed up. Stairs ...

We have been on several cruise lines over the years but lately we have sailed mostly Princess which we are very happy with. I always thought Celebrity was a cut above but for the price difference, we stayed with Princess. Someday we may give Celebrity another chance but it'll be a newer ship. Let me go back to where we started. We made reservations and parked at Premier on NW 1st Court. Just ...
