1-10 of 14 Celebrity Infinity Cruise Reviews for Senior Cruises to Europe - Western Mediterranean
Traveled with my mom. This was on her bucket list. When i found it on a travel site i've used before for a decent price, I called to alert her. She jumped at the chance to go.
FLIGHT: We flew from NYC to Budapest, to get 2 days of Budapest in before the cruise. We made the HUGE mistake of flying Alitalia "Magnifica" Business Class. Alitalia -- never again. The flight attendants in ...
My adult daughter and I booked almost 2 years before the sailing date because of the itinerary. It is not easy to find a ship that makes these ports of call in one sailing. I like Celebrity.
It was easy to get around the ship as well as embarking and disembarking. Everything went so smoothly and quickly. We choose an inside cabin on a lower deck because we like walking the stairs for exercise, ...
We went on this Celebrity Infinity cruise with several friends from our church who were all very interested in seeing the Holy Land. As I'd previously had a marvelous experience with Celebrity to Bermuda in 1995--indeed, of nine or so cruises I had taken, they were my favorite (prior to Royal Caribbean's acquisition of the company in 1997). So, it was quite a surprise to get to the ship terminal ...
We haven't been on Celebrity for many years but since we were cruising with our grand-daughter (turned 6 on the cruise) wanted a cruise with an available roomy suite, good service and activities for a 6 year old. This cruise was priced right for a Royal Suite - probably because it hadn't had it's well overdue makeover yet - and also it was relatively early in the Mediterranean season. We weren't ...
We choose this cruise due to the itinerary. But sad of most of the Italian ports the ports in the most important like Florence left to early. And in other Countries where there was much to adventure stayed quite late. The ship is very old and outdated. Noticed duct tape in the oceanview cafe on the carpet in several places. The windows were dirty. Rust all around our balcony and bathroom. The ...
Chose this cruise as we like sailing on M class ships and this one had a great itinerary with some stops we had not previously cruised to. We had some reservations when reading previous reviews about Infinity. Yes she does need a refurb which I understand will be later this year, but this in no way detracted from the excellence service we received from all members of staff. We had fabulous wait ...
We were on a 12 night cruise in the Western Med in an Aquaclass cabin. We were somewhat concerned before we left on this cruise having read a number of reviews talking about how tired the ship looked and indicating the food was so so. This was not our experience. The ship is older but I found it very clean and well maintained. They were repainting large sections of the wooden railings on this ...
My wife and I were very happy with the food, service and appearance of this aging but beautiful ship. The staff in Micheal's club was particularly helpful and attentive. We sailed on a back to back in a Celebrity suite, actually a comfortable, on board, apartment. The ship is classic with wood accents and panels.Celebrity is making a huge mistake ripping out the extravagant wood panels and ...
Poor:
1.) Our room and the total ship, for that matter, is very "tired". We actually traveled on the Infinity in 2004 and don't believe any updates have been made since then (dramatization on my part). The crew we talked to stated a retro is due in October, but that didn't help us for now. Every passenger we spoke to about the ship stated the same thing, ship needs help.
2.) No Captain's ...
