We decided to take this cruise because of the Itinerary... The check in was quick although since we were returning a rental car in Vancouver, they had us going up and down couple of times until we got on the ship.
We were in cabin 7111 and our steward was great. No complains there.... The cabin was smaller than what we are used to based on their other ships, but it was OK... Bed - it was ...
This cruise was recommended by our travel agent. We paid over $3500 Au for Concierge class and whilst the cabin was reasonably comfortable it certainly wasn’t luxurious.
Embarkation took over an hour as we had to wait whilst 2 ships passengers passed slowly through US Customs.
The ship is old and dated. The main dining area was overcrowded (sometimes nowhere to sit), the food was mediocre ...
Chose this cruise to see Alaska and the Hubbard Glacier. The Infinity is an older and smaller ship than others we'd been on and certainly had less to offer than the bigger ships. The main dining area felt claustrophobic and the buffet area was very difficult to maneuver through when busy. The cabin was clean but smaller than we'd had on previous Celebrity cruises. Entertainment was always great. ...
I would't suggest this trip for young people. Most activities on the ship was boring ..only good part was buffet. By end of the trip i checked my bank account and noticed that they took 260$ US for tips ! it was shocking because I wasn't aware of this charge and gave tips separately for service. Also AC in my cabin didn't work during 24 hr and they were fixing it whole day but they could't so we ...
Spent three days in Vancouver prior to the cruise. Embarkation was a nightmare, long queues. Carried our own bags when leaving therefore disembarkation went smoothly.
The ship is tired looking, cabin was clean although the curtains, bed valance were torn. Bathroom had a musty smell which was sorted by our cleaner.
Dining room was fine, great service and food was ok, ate here for breakfast ...
Travelled out of Vancouver.
The embarkation went smooth but within 2 minutes of getting on the ship, we had a customer service representative hovering over us trying to sell us beverage packages. He misrepresented the Classic package as the Standard package and pressured us to upgrade. We had a group of 4. I told him we would like some time to think about it and he stood right next to our ...
In September 1998 our family of 6 did Celebrity's Alaska Cruise on the Galaxy. At that time Celebrity had a reputation for being "above average". Their prices reflected this, being a bit more expensive than other lines doing the same route. We found the reputation accurate and enjoyed the cruise satisfied with the standards and happy that we received good value. Sadly, this time, 19 years later, ...
Recommended by travel agent. upon boarding the celebrity infinity we proceeded to the buffet lunch, as we awaited access to our aqua class room. we were immediately set upon by the waiters & waitresses trying to have us sign up for the daily "drinks package" @ (us)$55.00 per day per person plus an 18% gratuity. (if there were 2 persons in a room, both had to buy the "drinks package"). since ...
We travelled as a family of 11, of which 5 children between 10 and 14.
Our general impression is that the ship needs maintenance, that a proper cleaning of the cabins is needed, and that management certainly is more focused on profit optimization than on servicing the guests. This with the exception of the main restaurant, where we found the food very good and the service level ditto.

Crew wonderful
Cabin attendant wonderful.
Food Disappointing
Shore excursions poorly run by ship - have always booked Celebrity shore excursions and have been pleased but these totally disorganized.
Ordered shore excursions online and didn't receive tickets - finally after showing receipt of purchase got them but wasted a lot of time straightening it out. Also wasted time having to ...
