This is a long review.
The itinerary and weather on my cruise were great and we enjoyed vacation. Always start an Alaska cruise in Vancouver. The port was a breeze to get on and off the ship and Vancouver is a great city with an easy airport to navigate. But as to the ship, and Celebrity, I will not repeat on the Infinity and am now hesitant about Celebrity for food and beverage defects ...
A family member organized an Alaska cruise from Vancouver through the Inside Passage, August 3-12, 2018. The boarding experience was fairly smooth and we waited in the Oceanview Cafe until our rooms were ready. That's when I found out that CocaCola was $3 per can, plus tip.
The mandatory safety briefing in the theater was a multimedia presentation in multiple languages, explaining how to ...
We read reviews prior to booking in January for trip to Alaska on Celebrity and were expecting more. Our trip was average at best and food was not as good as our previous cruise on Royal Caribbean.
Weather was not good except for our day in Ketchikan on this trip but nothing we do about that. We booked all of our excursions ourselves instead of through cruise line which worked our well and was ...
The Infinity is an old ship and needs updating. Our cabin was well appointed and fairly comfortable. Dining in the Blu Restaurant was excellent with excellent service. The Oceanview Café was at best average. A typical "caf". Salad bar was good, bread and cheese good, breakfasts ok, lunch disappointing with fairly average food. There are activities all the time such that trying to find some ...
cabin and cleaner where brillant, pity about the lack of quaility of food and waiter staff,as for ships senior staff assistance to the lack and tastelss food selection , NO One wanted to know or care.
Activities on board were to say the least were pathetic as very little chices unless one likes swimming real.
The entire cruise all the celebrity was intent on was selling, selling, selling to ...
I chose this cruise for its reputation.
Embarkation and disembarkation was hassle free. The luggage reached rooms quickly. we were welcomed by our room attendant warmly.
The hospitality was good; entertainment was good. The evening shows were mainly music.
The catering staff was good and tried to provide best service. i have Indian taste. There were Indian dishes every day. We got to eat ...
This was a family cruise for my mother's birthday. She chose Celebrity because of the age range of the clientele. Of course, when you want to leave from Vancouver, that limits your choices even more. Background, my husband and I have sailed on both the Summit and the Constellation (sisters to the Infinity) and we love the layout and size of this ship. Most especially the Oceanview Bar at the aft ...
First time cruising with Celebrity and whilst we enjoyed the cruise, it could have been so much better but was let down by important items.
First of all, the pros :
Easy embarkation at Vancouver. Excellent entertainment, nice balcony cabin, very good room attendant, good drinks package, excellent bar staff at Martini bar, very smooth sailing, great access to view Hubbard glacier.
Met ...
As this was our very first cruise, we didn't have anything to compare against, however our expectations for what was our Honeymoon were higher than what we experienced on our cruise with Celebrity Cruises.
Whilst the list of amenities available is indeed impressive and the service provided was generally very good/excellent, I feel Celebrity Cruises can refine some of the services they provide ...
Chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Some helpful and friendly staff but lack of information a problem for First Time Cruisers. Dining was not an enjoyable experience. Main dining room too manic and food very average. Buffet style food generally a better option for variety. Qsine restaurant novel but poor food. Entertainment was standard stuff, not yo out taste at all.
Views of wildlife ...
