The world’s most boring cruise ship

Review for Celebrity Edge to Caribbean - Southern

Traveling in a party of six adults, mid 50s to mid 60s. Have taken about 15 cruises over past 5 years with this group. Have really enjoyed Celebrity Solstice class ships so decided to try this new Celebrity ship. The best part: The new main dining on Edge is the best ever experienced. Divided into 4 smaller restaurants you can rotate between. Has the feel of specialty restaurants at no ...

The overadvertised new ship without a soul

I would never recommend anyone to travel at edge at the royal suite (12102) if You had a previous experience at other celebrity ships. The problem of noise and knocks in the cabin at night was not solved because of a terrible quality of the construction. Moreover, above the cabin there is a SPA area with a lot of movments even at night and as a result I did not sleep 5!!! last nights. 2 first ...

We switched from Carnival to Royal Caribbean a few years ago, once our son graduated from High School. Our last cruise was on Anthem of the Seas, in 2017, where us and another couple booked adjoining rooms on the 7th floor. We called Celebrity several times to ensure we had the same dining table and to see what needed to be done to open the door between our rooms. We were told Celebrity needed ...

Selected the Edge for Celebrating a family birthday. The Edge is a chic styled cutting edge designed ship. The technology used throughout the ship is top notch. We especially enjoyed the lighting schemes (wake up, daytime, movie and sleep) we could control from the in room digital control pad or the smartphone app. The ship is adorned with many expensive feeling features and the live plants ...

The Edge is a beautiful ship with innovative decorations and design features. The infinity veranda was wonderful for us, but I can see why many long time cruisers complain. It has to be treated as an oceanview room with a full window, with the advantage of converting it into a balcony as needed. The extra space comes in handy. The bathroom design is outstanding and the extra room and storage is an ...

We wanted to try this new ship and it was going to islands we had not visited, Grand Cayman, Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba. It had three at sea days which we did not mind as we like to find a quiet corner and read. There were price drops after we booked so we were upgraded to Concierge Class, cabin 11163. Cabin was very nice and it had the infinity balcony. Mixed feelings as it made the cabin bigger ...

Pros: Beautiful new ship. Beautiful theatre with great entertainment. Great food. Great staff. Wash stations with soap and water at Ocean Cafe. 4 “Main” Dining rooms, 3 with small fixed menus plus the daily changing main menu selection. Celebrity X app to view menus and activities etc. etc. works well. Prompt reimbursement of Celebrity excursion fares when unable to tender to Grand ...
