This was may 55th cruise but first time as Elite on Celebrity, We booked a C1 although I had no use for the concierge we booked late. The ship is huge and has many neat areas such as the garden, Eden, and the atrium. There is a lot of whimsical art. I had trouble navigating the layout and found signage to be inadequate. I had a family reunion on the cruise. Day 2 I fell on the slippery floors in the Oceanview Cafe. I came home with Covid. Infection control needs improvement! The shared serving utensils in the cafe area need food handling gloves available for guests, the salt and pepper should be cleaned, the tables should be cleaned with antibacterial solution. My sisters were planning on this cruise. we booked late and one could get an ocean view...ship was sold out.....we boarded the ship and surprised the sisters...met at the martini bar. I chose this ship because it was a newer ship. I arrived to find my room was not clean. There was food on the floor, a used shower cap in a drawer, a half empty Evian bottle, and about 50 old wire hangers in the closet. I called housekeeping and they apologized. That was it. Was in Sky suite, first time in suite have been on many cruises, and I’m not going back. Beyond is a beautiful ship, it does creak and make lots of noise. That’s the only negative I can find with ship. Retreat area is very nice and quiet, never had issues finding chairs.
