When I booked my cruise to sail on the Celebrity Apex, I was so impressed by the photos and videos of the Infinity Cabins, and the ship in general, that I thought that even if the ship went no where, I would still love the cruise. I would think back on that thought during the cruise and after the cruise ended and I returned home. This cruise was booked as a “10 night Israel, Egypt & Med Cruise”. ...
A trip luxury trip back in time, flying business class and visiting the sights of the ancient world, Athens, Jerusalem and the Pyramids.
We booked a Infinite Veranda and a classic drinks package (we are light drinkers) and looked forward to a sunny cruise it is not our first Celebrity cruise, we always have a balcony cabin.
Lets get this straight a infinite veranda cabin is just a outside ...
This started out as a trip to Israel, Egypt, and Turkey. It was changed due to world events and only one of the original ports remaining from the initial itinerary was visited. The ship was lovely, food was good, and service was great. What I would like to do in this review is to share with you a missed opportunity on Celebrity's part to take care of their best customers: Elite members and above. ...
This was our second cruise since the pandemic. We took a Viking Ocean Cruise in the spring and it was the most boring experience we have ever had, never again or at least not until we are in our 80's will be contemplate Viking again. The Apex on the other hand was amazing.
Boarding in Rotterdam was very simple, on the ship in minutes. Our Aqua class cabin was amazing. We have never had a ...
We were looking forward to our first Celebrity cruise after hearing so many rave comments by our friends. In some ways, they were exactly right - the cabins were among the best we've found in the various cruises we've taken. On the other hand, the dining was not nearly as exceptional as they made it sound and the entertainment ranged from excellent to merely soso. Overall, we had a very nice ...
Celebrity was our favorite Cruise line and first choice for cruising. Not any more.
Our first impression once on board was great. We had a infinite balcony on level 6 and loved it. The decor in all areas of the ship was first class.
We paid for the all inclusive package that was extremely disappointing. All the classic cocktails tasted like they were made with watered down spirits. The ...
I have to say overall it was a great cruise. Started in Rotterdam and ended in Athens. The service was impeccable. So helpful and friendly. I was with a group of 12 others. We tried all 4 restaurants the first 4 nights then ate in Eden the 5th night. During that dinner we said we missed going to the same restaurant with the same waiter every night. So I spoke with the matre' d and every night at ...
We chose this cruise because of the 3 days it would spend visiting Israel. In regards to the entertainment on the ship, we felt it was not good. They need a better choreographer for their dance shows! The Club shows were not worth going to. The Theatre shows were an improvement - the Tree of Life was very good. The Retreat Lounge was a great place to relax, have a snack or drink, and enjoy ...
This was our first Celebrity cruise experience. We took this cruise with my parents and grandparents, primarily choosing this itinerary because of its stop in Israel (and because of the Apex!) We were excited to explore this new and innovative ship. It was definitely one of the most beautiful ships in which we have sailed and it had some unique features (i.e. The Magic Carpet!)
We were lucky to ...
Upfront, I'm not posting to boast about my dozen cruises this year... or my usual suite accommodations... nor do I have any hidden agendas that others seem to list "between the lines." This is merely my perspective in comparing Celebrity today with the Celebrity I previously loved 3 years ago.
Some, most, or all who differ with my assessment will probably want to use the ramifications of COVID ...
