We chose this cruise as we wanted an eastern Caribbean and southern to islands we have yet to explore and found this 14 day cruise. Little did we know that there is nothing for entertainment on this ship for anyone under the age of 60!!! The music is ideal for big bands, waltz and such which were popular in the 40's and 50's! Then we upgraded to get the water package as my wife needs ...

Heavy vibrations in stateroom ruined our cruise

I had a 14 night cruise as a 25 year marriage gift from my wife. We ad been looking forward to 2 weeks of relaxation on Celebrity Eclipse around the Caribean islands. We had stateroom 1158 on 10th deck. It was a consierge stateroom and should be one of the better ones as should the ship. We were impressed about the ship - the stateroom and the view over the see. We had a great welcome lunch in the ...

This was our second Cruise on Celebrity ships and a last one .first time on Equinox in 2012 was good but the stabilizers were turned off especially at night so we were walking always side to side all the time .And everybody were sick a tired of that.Celebrity cuts corners.on Eclipse only two days we encountered that . on the Eclipse Embarkation was not as Smooth. And every time in port we ...

Disappointing

Celebrity cruises had been recommended to us so to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday we booked a 14 day cruise from Miami to the Caribbean. Unfortunately we paid 5 star prices and got a 3 star cruise. The ship itself, in the main, was reasonably well kitted out and the staff really friendly and helpful but certain aspects were very disappointing. The sunbeds are so close together ...

Celebrity Cruises is not suited for people of asian descent who are vegetarian

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

The cruise line does not offer any thing more than music for entertainment. If you are asian and vegetarian, then do not go to their main dining hall. you'll get no good food. I can cook better than the executive chefs they have on board. They finally accepted that they do not carry asian foods and spices and hence cannot help us. The only option left is "Ocean View Cafe" where you pick from the ...

We chose the cruise because we wanted to try aqua level cruising. We were seduced by Blu and although overall it was very good, but we also had the worst meal We had on any cruise line(we've been on over 40 cruises and some very low end). One evening, at one meal, we had inedible cabbage, cold frogs legs and stringy on the outside and raw in the middle veal. My husband has fish and seafood ...

This was our 3rd cruise and first with Celebrity. We were travelling with first time cruisers and had them very excited about the experience on board a cruise ship. Unfortunately Celebrity Eclipse did not live up to our expectations. We were booked in Aqua class and were led to believe we were going to be given an upgraded experience on this cruise. Yes we received priority boarding but that ...

Celebrity is dumbing down

We have had several cruises with Celebrity but it is painfully obvious they are trying to lose their "old folks" image & attract younger people by projecting themselves as trendy. Well they hadn't attracted hardly any young folk on this cruise but they did display a lot of cheapening of product & dumbing down. The negatives now vastly outweigh the positives & Celebrity have convinced us that ...

As a cruiser who took his first cruise when I was 11, I have always thought of it as a great way to see the world while having your hotel follow you. The level of service and attention was always amazing, however in recent trips you can clearly see a decline over the past 20 years. My wife and I always do the new years eve cruise, as residents of Manhattan it can be quite expensive to go out at ...

Horrible Food Experience on Celebrity Eclipse

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

We sailed on the Eclipse before and were very pleased with all aspects of the cruise by this time the food quality in the dining rooms was awful. Tried to eat I the main dining room 3 times and each time the quality of the food was terrible. The service staff were fine and apologetic for the quality of the food but couldn't recommend any better options. We ate in the cafeteria on the upper deck ...
