"As an example, I mentioned the situation with the champagne, but we’ve also had times where one bath towel was missing (housekeeping was generally good though), or when they do bring the snacks. One had to stand next to the toilet, flushing it continuously, until it was fixed or stopped running (flushing 25-50 times or more)...."Read More

Poorly operated

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Departure was delayed by three and half an hours without any communication even to their own crew members who started sailing away party on deck already but have to cancel it. Captain didn’t apologize for the delay instead just say that is out of our control because the supply loading was slow. C First port of call at Cabo San Lucas arrived at 1:30pm but the tender didn’t start transfer ...

Not like the old days

We elected to purchase this cruise because of the price, and the itinerary (many ports we had not been to before.) We have been on six prior Celebrity cruises and even on this ship. Our overall experience was disappointing. First and foremost, the food in the main dinning room was sub par. The steaks were as thin as a pancake and no matter how discribed on the menu they were the same steak. ...

Celebrity has gone mainstream

Why pay three times more for a cruise line that is no different than a mainstream cruise line? by cutting corners on food since the food is actually worse than MSC. Limited entertainment venues, just the captain taking over the PA for an hour about navigation details no one cares about, just get us there! The cabin TV's have limited selections with poor to no reception even when at ...

Our 7 dec 2023-6 jan 2024 celebrity cruise had a great itinerary and wonderful staff but, was a disappointment on many levels, especially when celebrity air left us stranded. so, with almost 20 cruises under our belts, several of them celebrity, and many more in our future, we will never cruise celebrity again. Here are the details, starting with the positive: the 30 day south american ...

Cruised Celebrity Eclipse in a Royal Suite Dec 1 – 6 Long Beach / San Pedro to Cabo San Lucas, San Diego and back to Long Beach / San Pedro. This was our 54th cruise on various cruise lines RCCL (34), Princess (10), Celebrity (7), Holland (2), Norwegian (2), and Carnival (1). Our first was 1994 so we’ve seen all the changes and cutbacks, and this review is not about that. We booked this cruise to ...

This was our 17th cruise. We have sailed on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian and MSC. We have sailed on 6 prior Celebrity cruises, one of which was a past sailing on the Eclipse to Alaska. This trip was to Mexico with a 2 day stop in Cabo San Lucas. The focus of this post is what we have noticed has changed. First and understandably is the price. Everything is increasing in ...

I chose the cruise for the opportunity to cruise on Edge class ship, 2 weeks from Singapore to Sydney. The cruise was my best ever, the staff from Captain Mark down the order 5*, all went the extra yards to make a great cruise experience. The layout of the ship is excellent, the dining rooms are all separate compared to usual 3 terraces if dining. Food was great for 2 weeks, variety & ...

We choose this ship because of its size We loved the ship, its crew, the entertainment, activities and most important the food was excellent. Been to the ports before but it had been a long time ago. Loved tendering to Cabo San Lucas. Took awhile but we’re retired so slow and easy for us Enjoyed them again, as if for the first time. Had no wait times on elevators, dinner, buffet, ...

We've sailed the eastern Caribbean many times and wished to experience the Mexican Riviera . Glad we did - these ports are gems. Overall we enjoyed the cruise. Booked and S1 - Sky Suite, deck 12 port aft side. Deck 12 balcony rooms have a "cover" deck from above, so they can remain shaded for periods of the day. If you don't want direct sun - you pick deck 12. Cabin was comfortable, but ...
