Celebrity is losing it’s sparkle
"Celebrity have cutback on all the little extras that set them apart from other cruise lines- tote bags for Aqua class, free bottles of water in the staterooms, now charging extra for lobster and premium steaks in the main restaurant, reduced drinks choices in all bars, never having full stock of wines and beers on the menu even on the first sailing day even the privacy nets are missing from the windows and Do not Disturb notices from doors. The positives with all Celebrity cruises are the staff who are pleasant, professional and helpful even though very understaffed and the Blu restaurant was the best thing about the ship- excellent staff, food and wine...."Read More

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

The Constellation would be great for first time cruisers but repeat guests will notice the changes, cutbacks, price hikes and doubling of the cost of cruises. All effort now appears to be directed to the new Edge class ships which are fabulous but the rest of the fleet are being left behind. We cruised on the Constellation in January and again in September/ October 2023 but have cancelled ...

Went for the itinerary, do not go for the ship

Went on a 9 day cruise from Athens to Venice with stops in the Greek Islands, Turkiye, Croatia and Italy Loved most of the stops. The staff and Crew of the Constellation are wonderful. The ship on the other hand was a big disappointment Food was the same every day in the main dining room, The buffet was the same every day No variety at all. Also, cruising on this ship they try to ...

We just disembarked from our Mediterranean cruise today. Having previously done a Mediterranean cruise on Princess, I am using that as my bar when comparing to Celebrity. Would I take a Princess Cruise again? Absolutely yes. Will I ever book with Celebrity again? A strong no. I liked the ship itself, but the service was overall quite bad. I’m an easy going, reasonable person and do not expect to ...

Poorest Communication/Information Sharing with Passengers EVER experienced

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

Chose this cruise for its itinerary and wanted to experience a Celebrity cruise, that while not considered a “luxury line”, is *supposed* to be a higher level/tier cruise line than target market competitors. IT IS NOT! Celebrity established itself as the poorest/worst cruise line I’ve experienced well before I even boarded the ship! I spent well over two hours on the phone with at least ...

Not a cruise to book if travelling from UK

When we originally booked this cruise the flight details "would be advised later" but Celebrity clearly stated "we will find the best flight for your cruise itinerary". That flight turned out to be a budget airline that required a check in at 3.30AM! It meant leaving home at 1.30AM. So an entirely sleepless night and this is supposed to be a relaxed cruise? Lesson number 1, never ...

Great ports, disappointing Celebrity experience

We have sailed with Celebrity a number of times and chose this cruise due to the itinerary. The ports were wonderful, however ship experience was not what we have come to expect from Celebrity. There was very poor communication regarding the ports ( when available maps were unreadable or useless, no talks about the port, tenders poorly organized - weather was bad for 2 but very little ...

Disappointed of UK

This was our second Celebrity cruise and the first on one of the smaller ships, the biggest disappointment for us was the food and slow service in bar areas. The issue with the food was limited menu choices compared to previous trip on Silhouette, cold food in buffet and several stations in the buffet area were just not used on many occasions. Obviously the slow service in bar areas is a ...

Trying Celeb solo for the second time, last chance for the X

I had a pretty poor X experience a few years ago on the Eclipse, the captain having to write to each cabin to apologise type of experience. I wanted though to travel the Suez Canal though and so it seemed a good time to give the X another try. it started badly though when their greeters in Rome said I wasn't on their list and went on from there. The room had used toothpicks and peoples pills in ...

We sailed on Constellation's voyage from Venice to Rome. We had a great itinerary. Embarkation in Venice was extremely smooth and we were in our stateroom less than one-half hour after getting to the pier. Celebrity staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Food in the main dining room was very good but mediocre in the buffet. Food there was often lukewarm and would become cold by the time you got ...

Recently returned from a 10 night cruise from Rome to Barcelona in June on the Constellation. We have been on this ship once before to India and Asia about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it, unfortunately this time although we enjoyed the ports of call and to be fair thought the aqua class dining was still good and the staff overall worked hard to please the rest of the experience though was ...
