This was our 22nd cruise and 8th with Celebrity. We were in Sky Suite 6102. Overall, we had a fantastic cruise. The ship is in really good condition, everything looks new and works well. And the ship is clean, the staff are always cleaning the elevators and stairways. We had originally booked a balcony but upgraded to a suite when the suite prices reduced. The Sky Suites are great, lots of ...

Delightful cruise from Venice to stunning Ephesus

Having travelled twice before on sister ship Infinity, (and other Celebrity ships) we expected a lot from Constellation and on the whole she didn't disappoint. Boarding at Venice was a breeze, probably the quickest boarding we have ever experienced. The sail out of Venice is amazing and a definite highlight that we had wanted to do for years.we understand that the Venice authorities will not be ...

Such swings never expected

Went on Celebrity's "Connie" to Dubrovnik, Ephesus, Mykonos, etc. expecting a lot. Although I've been on 12 cruises, this is the first for Celebrity; I'd been told that this was the upscale Royal Caribbean and really the only line better was Crystal. Au Contraire. Perhaps if expectations hadn't been so high I would have enjoyed the cruise a lot more. Perhaps. So what was good first? The ...

Very slippery decks...be very careful

I slipped and fell on deck 10 because of the puddles of water. AFTER I fell and got hurt there were big yellow 'wet floor' cones everywhere but that does not help my very hurt back. ALSO...after a shore excursion around Santorini, the tour guide mentioned that the cable car to get back down tended to have very long lines. Thank goodness for that advice. 1.5 hours in line with people ...

Overall a fantastic experience and we met some great new friends (other cruise critic members). The opportunity to communicate with them prior to departure and organise to form port tour groups was a great way to see the sights and enjoy great company. The check in process was great and considering just how hot it was at Venice ( + 41 degrees) the cold drinks were appreciated. Drinks on the ...

Good cruise with well-traveled family/Greece & Split, Croatia

Just returned from our 25th Anniversary trip to Europe, having spent the first week on the Constellation and most of a second week on land. Perhaps we should have done it the other way around, as Celebrity had definitely spoiled us with all the ice-water we could drink, unlimited towels and food, and constantly refreshed cabin . . .after that, traveling on land was a rude awakening! My husband, ...

Although, I was a little concerned about spending a few days in Istanbul prior to the cruise. I was pleasantly surprised I never felt concerns for safety in this very magical and warm city just the opposite I traveled around like I was home. I didn't chose a hotel suggested by the cruise line, because I felt I could stay at a Hilton type hotel anywhere. I did some research online and found a hotel ...

We've done quite a few cruises on Celebrity so knew what to expect but we had one really fabulous surprise and that was getting one of those elusive upgrades. We originally booked Concierge cabins but after the final deposit date the price for a guaranteed suite dropped a little below what we paid so we switched. We had 3 cabins and they were assigned to Sky Suites. Shortly before departure I ...

Constellation 10-31-13 Turkey and Greece Monday  Tuesday, October 28 & 29 We were driven by family members to Newark Airport. We had booked the flights through Choice Air and were actually on United tickets, but all flights were on Lufthansa. The check-in process was incredible. We were waved over to first class check in as there were no first class passengers being checked in. The big bags were ...

CRUISING THE AEGEAN SEA ON THE CELEBRITY CONSTELLATION

OVERVIEW This was our second cruise on a Millennium class vessel although the Constellation has been Solticised, so the layout and "feel” of the ship differed somewhat to our initial experience on the Infinity some four years ago. We nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed the cruises. We had visited most of western Turkey as well as Athens previously but this was our first experience of the Greek Isles ...
