We had a hectic drive from Tampa to Ft. Lauderdale, traffic held up by 2 different accidents on I-75. Were so relieved to find our ship still docked (lol) it was only 2:30.

The Celebrity Constellation was a wonderful ship to visit on our first cruise to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. 5 day cruise to Cozemel and Key West on the Celebrity Constellation on March 14. Embarkation was relatively quick. Only delay was after checking in, had to get in second line to have picture taken for ship card. Why this could not be done all at once at check in as most do slowed the process. Nice short last minute get away. We had a standard Verandah cabin 9016. The room was nice and clean. Had a small pull out couch and I believe a drop down bed. The verandah had a tapered overhang from the above floor (spa area). The overhang did not allow a lot of direct sunshine, but it did give pretty good privacy and cover from the rain.

We flew in 2 days early to enjoy Fort Lauderdale. Stayed at the Hilton Marina and was convenient for water taxi's and our annual trip to Coconuts for dinner! Arrived at port around 13:00 (1pm) onboard by 13:25 (1:25pm). Hardly anyone but kinda weird system after check in have to go to a different line for photo I.D picture. I could see this being a mess when lots of people.
