We wanted to cruise on the Ascent since it was new and we'd heard nice things. We've cruised with Celebrity before as well as Holland America, Princess, Viking and Silver Sea so we are not strangers to sailing. We had a Sky Suite and weren't very impressed with the size at all. Room walls were creaky-enough noise to keep us awake, nightstands had no drawers, in the shower the soaps, shampoos, ...
Embarkation
Embarkation was very simple. We walked right in around 11:00, waited mere seconds in line for the X-Ray, then walked right up to a boarding agent. A few seconds of paperwork and we were allowed to begin the trek to the ship.
Total time: less than 10 minutes from entering the terminal to standing on the ship.
Dining
We were Aqua Class, so we took most ...
This was an adult family get together. All 3 couples took infinity veranda cabins. Only one person said they would prefer a traditional balcony after the cruise. Most of us gave the entertainment an A or a B plus although the music level was often ear shattering, the auditorium is large and comfortable with good sight lines. Food selection was very good, excursions were good, and to our surprise ...
We had room and it was very noisy. There was a constant humming noise and after day 4 we asked to change rooms. Our new room, which ended up being under The Club was better, but then we had to deal with the boom boom from The Club late at night. It was a fun cruise with amazing food and entertainment, but we came home exhausted. I would add that we informed Celebrity that this was our 18th ...
Many thanks to the hard working and friendly crew of the Reflection! We all thought there was a big improvement in crew friendliness and quality of overall service from our cruise 1 year ago.
This was our 15th cruise, 10th Celebrity cruise with our last cruise on the Ascent in December. This was week 1 of our B2B cruises on the Reflection. We decided to cruise for 14 days due to the extra air ...
Sitting in airport now reflecting on my 11 day cruise on the Beyond with my wife. Overall the experience was extremely positive. The ship was state of the art and beautiful. Our indoor stateroom was larger than average and our stateroom attendant Wayne was freindly and exceptional. We enjoyed all of the food and never had a bad meal. We had breakfast in the dining room every breakfast and dinner ...
We were a group of nine from the Atlanta GA area.
First the great.
The food generally was outstanding in the main dinning room ( Mediterranean). The service in all areas was also great. A shout out to Neno our head server. The ship was spotless in every regard. Captain Kate was a joy, seemed to be everywhere. The ship itself is a thing of beauty.
The good.
The ship is too big for ...
It was a good cruise except ror the noise every morning at 5:30. The boat is old and in need of some serios restoration. It was our first time on Celebrity although we've been on 22 other cruises; mostly Carnival, but we're getting a little older now and seemed like a good boat to go on based on reviews. The food was very good in buffet and main dining room. The entertainment was very good. The ...
We have sailed on Celebrity Solstice ships before but this was our first time on an Edge ship. It is an ultra modern ship in terms of design. All facets of the ship are well appointed, well laid out and very clean. It strikes me that Celebrity is targeting a certain market in terms of age and income. This is basically not a ship for kids or teenagers.
Food and wine are important aspects of ...
My husband and I just returned home from nine wonderful days onboard Celebrity Equinox. Having just sailed on Eclipse a few months ago, we couldn't help but compare the two ships. They are very similar in layout so we found our footing right away. Craft Social was a nice addition to Equinox. We preferred the grassy area up top on Eclipse better than Equinox. We played a lot of bocce ball on ...
