We chose infinity after traveling on solstice and we're very impressed. Sadly the infinity is no where near the same class. It is shabby and much of the decks are rusty.
The food in main dining room can only be described as school dinner type food. Very little choice and basic . The entertainment in bars is again very basic with little audience engagement.
The staff work very hard but ...
main dining room service was excellent. Food was just ok. there were options every day for grilled salmon and chicken. steak looked burnt and very thin. menu was not very exciting. one night's options included duck, lobster, beef wellington, and lamb. other nights not as exciting. servers were excellent and very accommodating. wine steward very helpful and ready to assist us every night. cabin ...
The Heating did not work and there was loud constant noise in the cabin. Other passengers also experienced similar problems . Guest relations were aware of this but presented as though this was the first time it had happened. Technicians tried to fix this but this resulting in a burning smell throughout. We were then offered an indoor cabin with even louder noise issues than the previous one. ...
As loyal Celebrity Select Captains Club Members - This is our fourth Celebrity cruise, and the second on this lovely ship. We pre purchased the Drinks, Wi-Fi and Gratuities Package, when booking the cruise. We didn’t book any excursions, as few seemed wheelchair friendly and we are happy to re discover places under our own steam.Having said that, the distance between where the ship docks and ...
We hold Elite status on Celebrity so we are not new to cruising. We spent a week in England and decided to take this ship, rather than fly, back to the US. We took this same cruise a few years ago on the Eclipse. Prior to boarding the ship we had read all the published info regarding covid requirements. Per the Celebrity web site AND calls to Celebrity said that self testing for covid was ...
Friends had already booked and begged us to go. Started out badly at So Hampton. Covid protocol email from Celebrity said we needed to self test 2 days and show a picture of the negative test. Whe n we arrived we were told that a later email was sent out saying we had to show proof of a supervised test. Hundreds of very unhappy people were sent over to another room to get tested at $100 each. I ...
Why did we go? To cruise again & for some sunshine.
Paperwork dealt with, excellent coach service to port with Evesway, embarkation smooth. Delighted with space in our Accessible Concierge cabin, no. 1028. As expected a bit bumpy thru Bay of Biscay.
There had been changes to whether we might/not explore Canaries on our own by bubble prevailed. Those who hadn’t booked cruise excursions ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary as we had cruised in the Mediterranean previously and wanted to see somewhere different. We stayed in the Blue Keys Hotel in Southampton which was really lovely, we had an excellent meal there. I would recommend as it approximately 10 minutes from the port. Embarkation went very smoothly, no queueing. While the ship was lovely there was less to do on board ...
Food was inconsistent
We had cold rib eye steaks
Tough/ undercooked duck
Semi frozen French toast
Cold Lobster
Been on the Celebrity Eclipse many times.
Never had a problem.
Also drinks package "classic" would not let us have sparkling water only Soda water
BUT
In the bar a double Henessy brandy no problem.
Staff generally were brilliant let down by poor chef.
The ...
This was our third cruise on Silhouette and took us to the Azores Madieira Tenerife and Lisbon. We thought the food and service were excellent. Our main grumble is the same as previous reviews in that there are too many passengers on board when the ship is not in sunny climates. On the way to the Azores we had to vere a different course to what was planned due to the remnants of a Carribbean ...
