We just returned from a wonderful cruise from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso, Chile for 12 days. The scenery is spectacular and the wildlife the same. We did one penguin tour in Puerto Madryn - Punta Tomba with Animal Travels that we booked thru Viator. We only used one excursion from Celebrity, but opted for smaller groups and much better prices. The scenery in Ushuaia is gorgeous, fresh fresh air. ...
Great cruise. Bad side, the ship is in need of a complete renovation. Our Verandah stateroom had plastic curtains which had patches all over the backside to repair holes instead of replacing with new curtains. The fridge door would not stay closed completely so it never really kept anything cold. Bathrobes that are placed in the staterooms have seen their days, very cheap and flimsy.

Wanted to see Antarctica but no longer interested in getting out on the ice or paddling around in kayaks. Traveled with a group of four couples who had previously sailed on Celebrity Summit.
This class of ships are nicely designed with larger showrooms to accommodate grand productions and very nice gyms. Of course, that means the dining venues are also huge and, when full, tend to be ...
My husband and I booked our first cruise with Celebrity because of the nice round-trip itinerary from Buenos Aires, most especially the scenic cruising in Antarctica. We did a South American cruise on Princess ten years ago in 2013, without Antarctica, when we also missed the Falkland Islands. We both have Elite status with Princess so that is our primary frame of reference, although our very ...
It is understandable why they send an older ship to Antarctica, people are looking for that specific destination.
It was a big disappointment dealing with Celebrity before the cruise: many cancellations and re-bookings of services and excursions with significant loss of funds when converting CAD to USD and back. E-mails were not answered, phone calls as well, after 2-3 hours waiting on hold, ...
This was a trip of a lifetime. It offered a wonderful itinerary with interesting ports, walkable cities, and incredible scenery along a route few get the opportunity to sail.
PROS
The Ports!!!
The food was fantastic aboard the Infinity. We have recently sailed on another Celebrity ship and found the Infinity’s food in the MDR much better quality this time around. The buffet had some ...
I loved the itinerary of going from Buenos Aires to Santiago, around the Horn. This was also over Christmas and New Years. They did a good job of having the Christmas spirit and did celebrate New Years in a grand way. Captain gets a 5 star along with Manuel, Crew Director. Housekeeping and Servers a 5 star. But the food was ordinary or a bit tasteless. Food and desserts looked good but food ...
We boarded on March 1 for a B2B that would end in San Diego. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the 2nd cruise was canceled and we were told we would be disembarking in Santiago, Chile. At that point, we were eager to get home so we really didn’t mind. However...that was not meant to be as Chile refused us docking and to make a long story short we had to sail to San Diego. 17 straight days at ...
Value for money cruise. Facilities good. Cabin decent size. Room attendant Michelle did very good job of making room clean and comfortable. Everything put in place and so pleasant to return to after breakfast. Restaurants very nice ambience and wide range of menu selection. Interesting food items available at mealtimes. Dinner in Moonlight Sonata made very enjoyable by excellent service from ...
We chose this cruise to see Antarctica. We had been booked originally with HAL but after doing an EXC Holland America cruise through the Pacific last April we decided to cancel. We wanted a cruise that had some entertainment for the many sea days. This was our first cruise on Celebrity and we were very happy with most things.
Our cabin was nice on the 10th floor mid ship Concierge class. I ...
