I had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and I wanted to utilise the time whilst I was fit. It covered the Aegian coast which we had talked about visitin several times, it was likely to be warmer than England and originally we hoped to see Barcelona before embarking.

We have 2 previous cruises under our belt - 7 nights fjords with P&O and 15 night TA with Princess.

We just experienced our first Celebrity Cruise ( after more then 20 cruises and as a Diamond Plus Member of Royal Carribean ). We travelled in a Sky-suite aft with 4 perks included ( premium beverage package, unlimited Wifi, prepaid gratuities and a onboard credit of 150 Usd per person ). Taking into account the amount paid this was a very great value for money.

We chose this cruise as we liked the itinerary and we have cruised with Celebrity twice previously on the Equinox. Embarkation was fast and we were greeted warmly with a glass of sparkly as soon as we were on the ship. Our cabin was spacious, well equipped and had a decent sized balcony.

Itinerary was promising, but disappointed by 2 days in Dubrovnik, when 2 days in Naples, Malta or Civitavecchia would have been better. Another disappointing feature was the impression that Celebrity is always trying to get extra charges wherever possible. We had excellent service from the time we checked in at the dock until the time we walked off the ship. The ship is beautifully appointed as all the S class ships are. We flew in on the 29th, Celebrity arranged ride from airport to ship. We arrived at ship just before noon. Boarding process was easy and went smoothly. Everything from start to finish was excellent.
