We took a family holiday with Celebrity Eclipse on the recomendation of our travel agent and wished we hadn’t wasted our money. The sights and people of St Petersburgh were amazing and I would recommend it highly, just dont go with Celebrity.

Our friends are avid travellers with Celebrity Cruises and have made this same trip last year. They recommended it to my husband and I and we booked up as a group of 10.

I chose the cruise due to the itinerary, what I didn't factor in was the disasterous on and off loading of passengers at port. I've never been on a cruise, that had so few crew involved in the going ashore process. This was my 5th cruise, 4th with Celebrity and first time on the Silhouette.
I couldn't believe the Main Dinning room's menu never changed during these couple years. Also the 14/F buffet was lousy!
The bathroom and parts of the public area smelled very bad. The odour came from the bathroom pipes and drainage system as the ship is not well maintained.
