Our voyage on the Apex was the second in virtually back to back tours on two very different cruise ships. We had just disembarked from a 10 night cruise of the Iberian and French coast on Oceania’s Marina which was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and set the bar somewhat high for our expectations of the Apex.
We spent a pleasant four days based in Amsterdam before the cruise experiencing ...
An absolutely beautiful ship with incredible staff. We were in Aqua Class and our room was beautiful. The King size bed, the linens, the turn down service and the fantastic shower. We had some initial reservations about the Infinite Veranda versus a traditional balcony but we found the additional space it offered plus the expansive opening glass area to actually be a great advantage.
I cannot ...
We chose this cruise specifically for the itinerary. We wanted a Scandinavian cruise that included both Oslo and Tallinn. Both were highlights. This was the only cruise we could find that included both ports.
Our first time on Celebrity. Previously, we've cruised with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Holland America. A bonus here was that we could transfer our Royal C. Crown and Anchor points ...
This was our first cruise with Celebrity. Previously have gone with HA, RC and most frequently NCL. Having not cruised since 2019 wanted a short cruise to get us back in the swing of things. This fitted the bill. On NCL had used a Mini Suite so decided to try Concierge.
Pre cruise customer service poor, very late getting luggage labels and joining instructions. Also took some time to get OBC ...
The Celebrity Edge class ships have an amazing suite option. We have sailed in a Sky Suite (twice) and the cost to benefit ratio is super. You pay more than a regular cabin but not nearly as much as with some other lines. The ship-within-a-ship concept is real on these ships. As part of your fare, you get extra amenities and well-equipped cabins. The exclusive Luminae restaurant is fine, but the ...
We travelled on the silhouette to celebrate the back holiday. Went aqua class. The staff (especially the staff at the Blu restaurant) were exceptional.
Despite it being busy at times (bank holiday) all services and support were great.
What really made me appreciate the crew were the time and effort they invested with passengers with specific needs. A truly inclusive ship/crew which was ...
We had originally booked this cruise in 2019 for a 2020 sailing. At that time the ship was Reflection and we were going to St Petersburg. We missed out on St Petersburg but we gained the Apex, a beautiful ship.
I have been on a Millennium class ship before and I really like the Apex. The Apex has a different layout which feels more intimate. Some of the old favorites remain; the martini bar is ...
The Ship was in good condition I think there could have been more activities for kids, although they had the kids club the kids did quite like the hideaway. The food was amazing all of it was good I think the buffet could of had been a bit more elevated. The speciality dining was very good I would recommend the pistachio crème brûlée at the Tuscan Grill. The bars were very nice, the cocktail bar ...
We found this itinerary appealing as Iceland and Ireland (and Norway the following cruise) were countries we had never visited and they would be cooler than our hot desert summer. It was our first E class ship and after reading opinions on this ship it was exciting to see for ourselves. Neither the ship nor ports disappointed!
Love Amsterdam as the embarkation port - easy to fly to, train ...
Everything was perfect for this cruise, I could not it fault in any aspect.
Having last travelled with Celebrity to the Canaries in 2017 which was brilliant in every way, we thought the company would not be able to achieve such high levels of service throughout.
Well they did!
From the moment we boarded to our very last steps off the ship, the welcome, friendliness and sheer work ethic ...
