+Ship is beautiful
+Food is generally good in buffet and MDR
+Fairly good availability of sun chairs

+Great ports of call
-Drink prices extremely high. USD 11 for a 33cl beer and USD 18 or 20 for a drink. And those drinks where horrible. Tasted a bit of bitter water without even a fruit or any kind of decoration to make it attractive in any way ...
We sought to expand our previous experiences on Pacific cruises on the 2 Solstice ships by booking a similar 10 day voyage ex Sydney on the newer Edge. Despite its classy, even glitzy, appearance, we were disappointed with many aspects of the ship, especially the on-board activities or more correctly lack of activities and entertainment.
Apart from the variable (mostly live & loud) Theatre ...
Loved this ship and the overall experience. The staff, from Captain Matt down, pulled out all stops to make it a great holiday for guests. The four main dining rooms worked well for us, we ate mostly in Normandie, but in all four the food was generally excellent. The quality of food at Ocean View Cafe (buffet) was very good and varied, a great selection and special offerings from time to time; ...
Umm, so we’ve done 2 x princess. 2 x carnival and 2 x Royal Caribbean, and expected celebrity to slightly above these in terms of quality.
What we liked:
- glass windows, great views
- main shows good, not the very best, but good.
- electric window and blackout blind
- good gymn
What we didn’t like:
- biggest issue are lots of suite and aqua areas closed off to those ...
To start, the 'balcony' on my 'state room' was far from adequate. ...whoever came up with this design has little idea of what most pax require. One couldn't have the window lowered and the blind lowered at the same time....and with the window down, there was a double metal frame at eye level to impede viewing. But the worst was still to come on the night of day 1 around 0100. The incessant ...
We had travelled on celebrity before but inAqua class. This time we had a balcony
The bathroom flooded twice and we were given a pamphlett not to put anything down the toilet that shouldn’t be there. I was annoyed as the blockage was in the sink and we put up with walking in a few inches of water for a whole day and no hot water in the sink either
We booked dinner at a set time then they ...
We chose the Edge for a special birthday cruise, as we wanted to experience the new Edge class ships after sailing many times on Solstice and Millenium class ships.
We chose a midship Sky Suite. This was a great location but we did notice quite a bit of noise in the cabin if we had a lot of sea movement, groans and creaks, not noticed on any other newish ship! Very loud at night and I’m glad ...
My wife & I enjoyed a wonderful cruise onboard Celebrity Edge, from Sydney to New Zealand and back, from December 9-21, 2023.
We had cruised previously with Silversea (2006), and had enjoyed seven cruises with Crystal between 2010 and 2019, but this was our first cruise on a ship with a capacity of more than approximately 1,000 passengers.
We were pleasantly surprised Celebrity Edge ...
We chose Celebrity Edge because we had cruised Celebrity before and this was Edge's first time to Australia. We were in awe of this amazing ship from the moment we set eyes on her. Embarkation in Sydney was quite straight forward and we were on board in less than 30 minutes. Many of the comments made previously did not apply on this occasion. for instance, gratuities were included in our fare, the ...
This cruise was absolutely amazing and a great way to return from Singapore. The ship itself is beautiful and there are amazing places everywhere we went. My personal favourite venues onboard were the Rooftop Garden, Eden and the Grand Plaza. I cannot fault the ship in any way at all. I also have to say that I don't know if it was because the weather was great or not, but not once did we feel any ...
